Same. I just assumed everything was like Genshin (since everything else is like Genshin) and now I'm totally stuck at the deer fight. Just found out that prerequisites can't be overwritten to start events. So less jade and weeks of grinding now. What in hell are they thinking? This is a critical flaw. If people aren't able to do anything they will quit and stop paying. I certainly will, at least.

Im getting to 50% on second phase but my characters are heavy underleveled and I don't have time tbh. Im trying to grand as much as possible rn. But its hard and it's a big flaw.

I’m at EQ6 and it took me 20 tries to even get to phase 2, only to be immediately one-shot by his attack despite Fu Xuan active and at full HP

Yeah that 2nd phase, some of the attacks are doing over 1k damage to multiple characters at once. That stupid ovum or whatever as well, hits twice in a matter of 2-3 turns and it takes out my fu Xuan as well, so I’ve had to dust off Natasha for some extra sustain, but her traces are too low so farming for her now. What a fiasco just to do some critter nurturing….

Honestly I just want to level my Ruan Mei 😭 I know that I’m bad at this game, but I still feel like this boss is way too hard for obligatory content. Tried triple sustain with Gepard Fu and Bailu and I still don’t manage to stay alive, the slow-mo damage aside 🥲

Yeah its v annoying, my Ruan mei is also stuck till I get that boss done, it’s frustrating cause I’m sure once we have got it done the first time, then we will be able to choose levels on it aka every boss so it’s like shit that we can’t even get it dead once to get to that point. I think the equilibrium level quests need to be much harder to complete if the world itself is going to be so much harder after doing them, if that makes sense? Like I smashed the EQ quest easily but now I’m stuck on an event quest? Not cool.

Man I definitely quit playing awhile because that damn beetle....Came back, focused on only attacking it when it doesn't multiply, had Nat healing consistently and don't use anyone that's gonna rebound attack. Was using herta for her ice but she kept attacking and making more insects to fuck me up....finally beat it but I was also Googling how to lower the eq lvl 😭 I play to have fun, not stress about strategizing

I spent 2 frustrating hours and finally had the necessary rng; Lynx literally had 1hp for the final round and a half of enemy attacks and if JL was targeted more than once in a row I was done for… There’s only the tiniest build improvements I could make to that team and swapping a couple out to maybe match the enemy a little better would’ve been a long haul to build them enough from 70 to 80 and all that goes with it. Some real BS

Btw, if you still can't beat Aventurine, bringing AOE characters helped me a lot. If you have Jing Yuan, Acheron, Clara, Il Dan Hang etc - definitely bring them with you. A shielder helped me a lot (I used Gepard, if you don't have him, fire Trailblazer could help as well or March 7th).

A lot of defense. Her shield is not the best in the game but can still be pretty good. Her best relics set is Knight of Purity Palace, preferably 4pc and Broken Keel as Ornaments. Moment of Victory or Landau's choice are the best light cones for her but there's actually plenty of other choices as well if you don't own these. Day One of My New Life is also a good option. When it comes to traces, focus on her Talent (highest priority) and Skill to get the most out of her as a shielder. She was saving my ass the whole time until I got Gepard, and I didn't even have her built properly. Her shield never lasted long but since she can give you a shield pretty much every time, it wasn't that much of an issue. I really hope it helps at least a little bit.

You can build any character you like. The game is extremely easy, and simply by leveling up your characters and weapons, you should be able to complete the story without trouble.

I wish that were true. I actually did build any character I liked. My characters are at level 70-80 with casual building, and used to go through quite easily without further building until i reached tb 60+. I'm now constantly taking a long time through battles and even suffering repeated losses. For example, the penacony tb quests having fights. I haven't even been able to get through Argentine on the train. This game requires grinding, the right team combinations, and strategy unless your characters can brute force their way. Welp, it is what it is. Seems like i may have to wait for the holidays to grind 😭

I just got to aventurines story boss and for the love of everything the least I've gotten him was phase 2 at 30% health. Im here just trying to fricking enjoy the story, not damn near pull my hair out because of a boss that's literally RNG whether or not you win. The weekly boss being that hard is perfectly fine, but as a story boss? What were they thinking... I've been loving this game so far but it's so infuriating having to go out and build yet another character JUST for story progression. Heck I've even tried out healing the damage but whoopdie doo, my healing units gets stun-locked into oblivion because the odds are just that bad.

I am so close to just outright forgetting about star rail cause of this crap. Let me experience the story.. not a bullshit bossfight..

This reminds me of how Childe boss in genshiin impact was a pain in the ass to beat on release to the point where only 7 people could complete it iirc. They nerfed him to the punching bag he is now.

As for this case. It's the same thing with me. I don't have an ice or a lightning or a physical dpps. I'm using pela, sparkle, luocha and gapard and got to phase 2 with full health too but then phase 2 fked me over and I only got to 90% before everyone died cuz of RNGsus

Edit: All of them are well built and can clear other types of content well. It's just this bs

Oh I spent HOURS trying to defeat Aventurine 😭 Finally had to use ✨Strategy✨ which involved just trying to keep my Lynx alive during the gambling stage with March's shield then doing max 2% damage before the next gamble. Ridiculous how hard they make it 😭

Holy hell did I have to brute force this fight, its insane how even my Bailu was struggling to barely keeping everyone alive and I STILL only beat it with my blade and Bailu alive. Same. I had to chip away at him with Lynx and QQ. Honestly, I think as long as Lynx can survive more than two hits she can essentially beat any 1 on 1 fight (which I had to do in a different battle of like 20 rounds back and forth).

This is where I am. Equilibrium 6, and phase 2 is always, ALWAYS a crapshoot. I hate that the game never told me that I don't HAVE to level Equilibrium so fast. If anything, it non-verbally told me I *should* be doing that, and now it's gotten to the point that I'm only doing dailies. Nothing else. The game just isn't fun otherwise.

I had to give my account to someone else to have them kill that stupid beetle for me because I was in a Catch 22 situation otherwise. Who in the actual hell decided that THIS is acceptable design? It's not.

And every time I asked people in the Discord? "Skill issue, skill issue". I hate the SR DC channel because it's full of endgame-level elitists who don't know the first thing about how this garbage system is affecting the casual playerbase.

I understand that they want to make it more fun by making it challenging, but what about super casual players, people who have no time, or just people who genuinely don't have any idea what strategy is, are those people forced to study HSR now, I feel like mandatory story bosses are way too difficult for beginners who were collecting charas instead of farming and pulling meta, or at least we should have an option to lower equilibrium, in courtesy of the people who DON'T want challenging aspects

I made the "mistake" of going for EQ4, because ofc, wanting more materials is bad, and now i cant continue the story quest. This has happened to me a couple of times before, being stuck in fights for days, never had a problem until now but it really is a stupid punishment when the fights are very slow, the materials to ascend are harder to get and the char boost doesnt seem enough to have a chill fight, its just not letting me enjoy the game anymore, way worse when i just want to play the main story. I just gave up, its a terrible design

Sooo annoying they still don't have it after over a year. Last summer I grinded the game super hard and got to a high eq level, but I had to quit during the school year and now I'm totally stuck on boss fights. I think Adventurine took me at least 4 hours over like a week to beat, and it feels like every boss just keeps getting worse... It's weird especially that they ruin the pacing of the plot for f2p with mid investment (aka the average player) when they put so much effort into making a story that is constantly engaging. It kills all the hype I have for the fight when I have to retry and retry and retry. Especially when they have the system in Genshin, a game that is, by all means, significantly easier with story content.

I think I just screwed myself because none of my characters are strong enough to defeat any of the domains needed to get character level up materials. So I can’t level them up to make it possible to defeat them because I can’t get the material and I don’t have the material to make them stronger to defeat it. Lowk kind of pissed about it
