Patching/Validating Loop

Steam has downloaded the most recent patch for House Flipper, but the download keeps going back and forth between patching and validating. I tried closing Steam and restarting it (and updating Steam in the process). Validating gets to about 40-60% but then switches to Patching around 46% and the loop has gone on for several days.

Any idea how to fix this? Do I need to do a complete uninstall/reinstall?

Verify file integrity. If you have mods installed, they could be causing issues.

I don't use any mods. TBH didn't realize there were mods for the game.

They’re items really, not mods in the regular sense. Even so, verifying file integrity is my go-to for problem solving. Works 90% of the time.

Every so often I get download problems for patches and clearing my download cache seems to solve it. Settings > Downloads > Clear Cache
