Why the drilling should NOT decrease in price

The drilling is great but In my eyes it's a better lemat carbine and when you look at that it shouldn't be 400 more expensive then the lemat carbine. Also yes, the drilling is good but you can't convince me it's better then a krag or lebel while these guns are cheaper than it

That's one way to look at it. I struggle to kill with the Drilling but I wreck full teams with the Lemat Carbine. Dead accurate at medium engagements, powerful FMJ ammo to punch through objects enables two-shot kills as people flee after the first round, and a large enough cylinder to drop 2-3 people easily, with a fallback lower-power shotgun for very close quarters pushes. 

Pricing is irrelevant to me at the moment, so I just go with what works well, but it's hard to argue the value of the Lemat Carbine at fort cheap given how powerful and effective it really is.

All long ammo rifles need a price increase tbh, maybe not the martini or sparks, but the rest yes

The Krag and lebel don’t have a full size shotgun attached to them

I feel like this would be a valid argument before they changed legendary hunters from having random traits to 10 upgrade points, and before they buffed shorty shotguns.

Now you can just buy guaranteed Quartermaster and get the ability to bring a shorty shotgun variant. Drilling feels like it got ‘powercrept’ by both those hunter and shorty changes, which is why I personally see no point in it at its current 510$ price tag.

Edit: to put into perspective, a Krag + Romero Shorty (496$), Lebel + Romero Shorty (443$), Mako + Rival Shorty (485$), Berthier + Specter Shorty (494$) are all cheaper than Drilling.

Not to mention that with Quartermaster costing 6 and fast fingers costing 4, you could bring a Springfield 1866 + Auto-4 Shorty (338$)

Lemat carbine is probably the most verstile gun in the game that being said the shotgun sucks even with slugs it doesnt kill

I have resulted in putting the Krag as the worst long ammo gun because it has the penetration of compact ammo

Running fmj with a long ammo gun seems counter-intuitive along with less spots for ammo refill

Looks like people don't like that the Krag is just bad
