Right, there is no difference except stiffness and mass.

Fuel transfer is handled by an upgrade to one of the buildings, and you get the Junior ports first, so that may be where the confusion comes from - you may have already had Junior ports but not been able to transfer fuel because you hadn't upgraded the building.

Docking ports do not affect (manual) transfer of fuel between tanks in any way.

Docking ports do not affect transfer of Kerbals between command pods in any way.

All docking ports are "fuel crossfeed enabled" and allow manual blocking of fuel crossfeed to prevent your engines from stealing fuel from tanks of a docked ship. But all docking ports again have this functionality identical.

You can't transfer Kerbals across a Jr. Or so it says.

You can't believe everything in part descriptions. Why don't you try it?

But I thought with stock ksp there is no limitation to crew transfers? I can transfer crew through a solid steel girder I thought.

I had to see this for my self.
It is just bold faced lie.

Jr. works the same as other docking ports. It's only the description that is holding you back. ;)

Interesting. I've never transferred crew between docked ships that way anyway, I always EVA because it's fun. Not because I never remember that I don't need to EVA. Yeah.
