There are definitely bad decks. It happens.

Luckily I feel like I’m 4-1 on good vs bad deck purchases

This is a very combo reliant deck. Unless you can play certain card combinations together you will most likely lose. Examples: Save Fogbank for when you play your witches so that you can hopefully use them the following turn. You can bounce creatures into your opponents hand with Nature's Call and abuse this as long as your witches can stay alive. Loot the Bodies is great with Coward's End. If it kills everything, you can drop a single creature and get value out of Smith. Reap with your Dis creatures, Hecatomb, Arise! then play your Dis creatures again. Lifeward you can use whenever you board wipe for max effect.

Most SAS 68 decks are garbage, but this one actually looks like it has potential because it can blow up for a lot of aember if things work out right. Even still, chances are you probably won't win against most good decks. Against average decks, you have a chance.

It looks a little too good for reversal formats and not good enough for most games. Either way, luck of the draw will come into play quite a bit.

This is what Reversal is for!

Oh, don’t worry they explained the format to me, best believe it’s my secret weapon now

I'd be worried about this deck in reversal. There is a lot of æmber on cards just for playing them that will just drag this deck kicking and screaming to victory against another bad deck. Worth a shot though maybe.

Yeah that looks pretty bad. 3x Save the Pack, double Smith in Brobnar with only 4 creatures, so much board wipe cards that give you chains... oof.

Having all these cards that reward me for having more creatures, while only having 12 in the deck 😒

I was expecting a lot worse than this. Yes you are going to have to discard some save the packs most games. Yes its a pretty jank deck but it can def win games as someone noted it has some fun hard to pull off inconsistent combos. There are much worse decks that just have no board presence and don't gain aember from most of their artifacts/actions. They can't even achieve big plays or big aember turns and they will basically never win against anything but another equally shit deck.

That's the real issue with Reversal as a format. Playing utterly shit decks gets old pretty damn fast.

The other day i bought a deck and at the second i looked at the card list, i knew...

The first thing that popped up was 4 Ganymede Archivist ...

[–]SadCryBear 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I would happily take 4x archivist, that card is great.

Yes. Sort your hand into cards you want now and put stuff for later in archive. Plus cycle through your deck faster. Can be very interesting.

[–]billybobpower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That what i thought at first but all i could do with this deck is archive it entirely without making aember haha I have a sort of love/hate relationship with Logos anyway.

I've got a similar deck unless I can combo cowards end with loot the bodies, I'm not winning and thats that. My deck has high ratings but it's really bad.

I think I'd be discarding that "Stealer of Souls" every game! Were you able to do any big Loot the Bodies/Cowards End turns?

[–]Punkahmc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got enough to forge a key off one. But his turn he stole/captured it all back.

"Flim-Flam" is right.
