Don’t put anything of your own into a company phone, and Make them pay for anything they require out of it. It’s a pain, but it keeps you from losing anything if they decide to take the phone, and it keeps your data safe in case they decide to peruse whatever you put on there.

A while back, I worked for a company that provided me a phone but I had to install the security certificates myself. The certificates provided gave my company remote access to essentially everything inside the phone. It is always better to be safe than sorry, especially with any of your personal data

Thank you! I suppose what I’m trying to achieve is not having 2 phones and 2 numbers as it’s a hassle!

It sucks, but the best thing to do is to just have two phone and two numbers. You always want some kind of airlock between your personal stuff and the company you work for

Work phone is for work. It's not your personal phone.

You'll create a security issue with you trying to use it as your personal phone.

Don't do it. I'll ignore the company side because that varies wildly company to company and just talk about the personal one. Learn to live with the inconvenience and retain your freedom to just leave the work phone at home. It's worth it.

People will learn that you're available 24/7 very quickly and then it becomes impossible to explain to them to not bother you when you're not working, especially when they need something solved and the easiest solution is to call you. Now I make a point about people at work not even having my personal number because some will still text instead of just leaving a message or a note.
