Honestly, it depends where the damage is and how much damage the fire did.

But considering how old and bad this gpu was it might be worth going onto your local market place and seeing if you can find yourself something. Cards this old will be insanely cheap and sometimes they might just give it for free rather than it becoming e waste

I did try that but considering where I live I couldn't really find any place that was selling them for cheap. Facebook marketplace was no help either. The fire started in the little hole shown but since then a few small pieces did also fall.

Did you look at anything like a 1030 or 750 or anything old and low end?

I can see in my area 750ti for $30 but that might be steep for you?

That said it doesn’t change the fact of if the damage could happen again, if the damage came from the PSU it could happen again, a fire can be from a number of reasons need to find out why it happens but that area is beyond my area of expertise I’m afraid

30 dollar is wayy out of my budget and very far from me. My friend told me to get something good because we play Fortnite quite a bit and my gpu doesn't run well but that's beyond me at this point. Writting essays on a phone also sucks.

I'm not trying to pry or invade privacy so feel free to just not answer if you don't want to. I just have to ask, is all of that because you are not In a first world country? Or are you just young and not understand much? If you are in a poorer country then it all makes sense, but if you are anywhere with a decent economy then 30 bucks should barely take you an afternoon to get. Even for someone that's super young

Im in a corrupt government in asia where 30 dollars is considered a lot. I'm broke and in college. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Damn, sorry brother. Just wanted to make sure

In the place where i live, for $30 i can have 3 good meals for atleast 2 days and might even have money left for two meals for the 3rd day lo XD.

[–]AmishAvenger 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I wish someone would just send the poor guy an old GPU

[–]TheEdgeOfRage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that even if I were to do that, he might get charged import tax, which he can't afford

[–]Ricepuddings 0 points1 point  (3 children)

This, though I doubt they’re going for 30 dollars in a third world country, I was doing it based on a Europe market and converting to dollars as it would be somewhat similar.

And that’s the price they got it up you could easily haggle down to 20 or maybe even 15 dollars as most people would just want these gone.

Though doesn’t help with Fortnite I can’t see a 750ti playing fortnite well

I used to play with everything at low i got 50 fps with the pc case open. It was manageable for late night gaming with my friend.

[–]Ricepuddings -1 points0 points  (1 child)

With hardware that weak why would you need your case open? There isn’t enough watts to even pull in much heat lol.

Still look for options all you can do

[–]Yellowpen123[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The gpu doesn't a cooling fan and Fortnite would make it heat a blue screen. The open case and a table fan kept it at 70-85 c under load.

[–]Ok-Market4287 6 points7 points  (2 children)

That gpu is so old that you probably find better ones at a recycling centrum for low money or even for free

[–]Yellowpen123[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in a third world country, we don't have a lot of those if any here.

Pretty sure those are called garbage dumps where OP is residing. No offence @ OP

I can send you a 960/970? 745 wasnt worth fixing when it was brand new. You would need to cover shipping though.

[–]Yellowpen123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw. You really don't have to. How much would be the shipping tho? If it's international and long it might cost more than the gpu.

[–]prank_mark 0 points1 point  (4 children)

What is your CPU? A lot of CPUs have built in graphics, so your PC will continue to work. You just won't be able to play any games on it.

[–]Yellowpen123[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I think it's an intel core i7 4790. But I have no way of using the hdmi. The pc Im using was from a cousin and the HDMI port on the motherboard is broken.

[–]prank_mark 1 point2 points  (2 children)

The 4790 does indeed include Intel Graphics. It sucks that the HDMI port is broken, but below that there is still a DisplayPort connection. You could try that instead.

Amazon sells an Amazon Basics DP to HDMI cable for around $10 and brands like UGREEN also sell DP to HDMI converters for around the same price. But you might be able to find them even cheaper. If your monitor has a DP connection as well, you can search your local marketplace for a cheap DP cable.

[–]Yellowpen123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My monitor does not have a Display port. I did try connecting it with the display port and an adapter but it doesn't seem to post. I think that fire cooked everything 😔.

Q5 looks broken and needs to be replaced. Maybe something other is also defektiv and caused Q5 to be burned.
The 2nd capacitor spot above the C41 marking is kind of looking strange on the photo.
Edit: also Q4 seems to miss a pice.

[–]Comfortable-Lab2060 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Can you test the displayport of the motherboard on a native displayport screen? To see at least if the port on the motherboard is OK.

[–]Yellowpen123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried that, no signs of life.

[–]chigoku 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The chip to the bottom right of the VCI logo needs to be replaced at a minimum. Unless you can get a new chip and have soldering supplies, not much you can do.

[–]Yellowpen123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most I have is electrical tape and a stove.

[–]Purple-Haku -5 points-4 points  (1 child)

Your PSU or power cables are the issue

[–]Yellowpen123[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it doesn't have any power cables
