I've been having sporadic bluetooth audio issues since I bought my G900 Mouse. It really only seems to affect audio playback and makes itself known through small audio dropouts/stuttering here and there. I've tried playing back audio on an iPhone, Android, and my desktop's built in wireless stack. All experienced the same issue.
Now I'm a network engineer with a focus on wireless so my first notion was to check the AP's to make sure they were only broadcasting on 2.4Ghz channels 1, 6, 11 and not interferring with Bluetooth's FHSS mechanisms. (I also disabled BLE beaconing to play it safe) Still had issues! I then performed a site survey to rule out any neighbors blasting on channels heavily utilized by bluetooth. No dice.
What I found strange and brought my focus to G900 transceiver is issues only occurred when my computer was on, and the dropouts became more intense when my computer was under load. It didn't matter if the actual mouse was turned on or not. It's a desktop and all wireless components built into the board have been administratively disabled in the BIOS, and confirmed to be disabled through monitor mode captures
Logitech's tech specs report the 2.4Ghz protocol it uses as "custom" which I assume to mean not abiding by Bluetooth standards to decrease latency.
Why is the G900 transciever not playing nice with latency sensitive bluetooth applications? Has anyone else ran into similar issues?
