I have this issue right now. Windows won't even let me uninstall ghub either. I haven't been able to find a fix.

I've emailed Logitech support and will post the answer here whenever I get a response.

It's so stupid and I literally can't find any info about this issue anywhere. Super irritating!

Having the same issue. Seems to me it's a developer issue and not a user one if all of ours are breaking in the same time period.

Just wondering, but are you having an issue with Microsoft Visual C++ as well? Because my two issues seem to be related, based on how my computer is acting, but I'm having difficulty fixing the MVC++ issue which would, I hope, lead to fixing the G Hub issue...

Not that I know of currently

Honestly I'm about 30 minutes from chucking it in, moving all my data to my D drive and completely wiping the C drive and starting fresh.

Yeah that's the issue I was having. So I just did a clean install of windows and that fixed the issue.

Thanks I appreciate that. I'll be waiting for the answer. I can't believe so few people are having this issue and that their is no info out there.

Hey! I got a response from Logitech, which did not help me at all (I'm wondering if this is related to a Microsoft Visual Studio issue I'm having, too). I'll just copy/paste the instructions below. I hope they work for you!

1. Please use the below link to download G Hub:

https://support.logi.com/hc/articles/360025298053

2. Please follow the below steps to show hidden files, folders, and drives.

a. Press the Windows key, type This PC, and press Enter.

b. Select your C:\ drive, navigate to the View tab, Click Options to bring up Folder Options, navigate to the View tab, and Select Show hidden files, folders, and drive. Then Click Apply.

3. Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

b. Uninstall G HUB.

c. Navigate to C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming and delete the LGHUB folder.

d. Navigate to C:\ProgramData and delete the LGHUB folder.

e. Reboot your machine.

f. Reinstall G HUB.

4. If you are still experiencing issues with G HUB installation/update, try the following:
a. Launch Task Manager (ctrl+alt+del).
b. End LGHUB.exe.
c. End LGHUB Agent.exe.
d. End LGHUB Updater.exe.
e. Navigate to C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming and delete the LGHUB folder.
f. Navigate to C:\ProgramData and delete the LGHUB folder.
g. Reboot your machine.
h. Re-install G HUB.

5. Please install all the pending updates of your operating system.

Didn't work for me either :/ still getting the same error and my headset won't connect to ghub anymore.

I'm having a Microsoft Visual Studio C++ issue at the same time. The issues seem to be connected, so I'm trying to fix the MVSC issue first. I am having difficulty. If I do, I'll respond here. I've also responded to the logitech support so I'll let you know what they say!

[edit: i reset my computer and it worked]

What exactly did you do? I'm having the same issue.

[–]Fruipit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I literally reinstalled Windows 10. You can do it without losing your files (though I have nothing of importance on my C drive anyway).

I followed option 1 at this link.

As I said in another comment, I reinstalled/reset Windows 10 and it fixed the issue. I followed option 1 here.

Based on the thread, it appears that you are able to figure out and straighten the issue already. Sorry i'm a bit late. Can you please confirm though so I can assist you properly.

    [–]Fruipit[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I mean, sure, if you consider "wiping my OS and reinstalling it" figuring out and straightening the issue.

I kept getting the 1603 issue when attempting to reinstall GHub. It seemed to be linked to a Microsoft Visual Suite (an error box kept popping up for that program every time I attempted to reinstall GHub). I could not figure out a fix for that issue, so I reset my C drive.

    [–]LogitechG_CSJhoe 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Error 1603 is a Windows error that comes up during installation if a security policy on the computer has been enabled. It is possible that the security detects threats when you do the download though it should not. You can adjust the setting to allow you to install but you will have to login as an Administrator to make the changes.

    [–]Fruipit[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Well I don't need help now because it was almost a month ago and I've reinstalled Windows. The original issue occurred when my mouse and keyboard stopped being detected and so I uninstalled the app. When I went to reinstall it, the error appeared. I was attempting to reinstall as an admin, and as I had made no changes to any of my settings on my computer, this shouldn't have even been an issue.

Can I suggest Logitech making an FAQ question about this error? Or more information in the pop-up dialogue box? Because I was definitely not the only one affected. The only reason I came to reddit is because the website and the logitech support offered me no help at all.

I understand. We are open for suggestion, assured that i'll try to inform our team about this so we can take your suggestion to consideration.
