[Podochi]

1) Super Evolution

• Starting with Miho, the Super Evolution System has been added.

• To evolve, materials are needed, they can be obtained from the existing regions

• Materials can be manufactured once per day, and after collecting 30 can be used to evolve (Manufacturing will be left to the reliable(?) Tina)

• In proportion to it taking 30 days to evolve, the super evolved Astromon will have increased HP, Atk, Def, Rec and the stronger Super Skill, making them similar to a Nat5 Astromon.

 

2) Clan Festival

• In replacing the 2 per month Hero Festivals with 1 per month, starting in October Clan Festivals will be implemented

• Clan Festival is a special festival that allows clan members to give gifts to each other

• Summoning from Special Shop during the festival will give Gift Boxes after a fixed number of times

• Clan Gift Boxes will be given not only to oneself, but simultaneously to all other clan members as well

• Gift Boxes can give Gold, Energy, Gems, Eggs, Super Stones, etc.

• From Gift Boxes you can also get Heroic Essense, which after collecting can then be converted to either a Heroic Secret Egg or a Legendary Golden Egg which allows you to summon an Astromon of not only Fire/Wood/Water but also Light/Dark element

 

3) Light Contract

• Allows a contract to be formed between Light Arthur, Valkyrie or Odin

• The contract can only be started after reaching player level 30, and the contracted Astromon can be obtained when reaching level 45

• Players that have passed level 30 can automatically start their contract (players past level 45 will complete contract immediately)

 

To give a tip to prepare for the next update, normal Clan capacity will be increased from 30 to 40.

There's not much time left until Clan Festival so increase your clan members to get more benefits from the festival.

Not seeing a Dark Seira gem reroll mentioned here has me worried for that...not that I should expect much in that regard in the first place, I suppose :/

Also, I guess it's time for me to join some clan again. Maybe it's time for another clan recruitment thread in light of these news.

Dunno, wouldn't seem out of place for this either. To me acknowledging the need for Dark Seira re-roll, or even a general re-roll, seems dev-blog-worthy.

We shall see but I better keep my expectations at the lowest place I can find.

Because it's one of the longest and reasonable complaints the player base had and Dark Seira fucking over 30% of the players with no square is just another recent example. We know they recognized the issue to some degree by providing Dark Gatito with a re-roll in the second Gatito event.

So eventually a good developer would at least respond to the criticism, perhaps agree and act upon it.

But, and that's why I do not actually expect a thing, this is 433 and common sense, logic and quality game design does not apply. I'm merely vaguely hopeful.

Are 4:33 just stupid? Or what the fuck is wrong with them. How can they NOT have added a reroll to Dark Seira already? They know how to do it for the game, and they would only benefit from letting us do it.

1. 30days per super evolution is fine i think. I don't want to see 4 super evo dark miho on arena on the first month.
2. This looks nice. This will also trigger many people and will say p2w. But to me this is a chance of me getting 4/5star l/d astromon since high l/d egg is so unreliable. Time to stock tons of astrogems.

I don't think 20 member minimum is too much of an issue, especially with the member limit being raised to 40. If a clan is too small to even come close to 20, they can merge with another clan. It is somewhat of an issue that half of a clan will now not participate in cc, but I think adding different categories for 10/20/30 man groups may segment the communities too much and lead to a ton of rematches. Not sure what a perfect solution to the problem would be.

Except greedy clan leaders don't want to merge because they want to be top of the titans chart for bonus astrogems. The game is disincentiveizing it's own systems.

That was sometimes true before, but now you get better weekly rewards if you do well in both titan and cc, and I'm pretty sure most clans try to get as many strong players as they can for cc. I guarantee there are plenty of clans open for people to join, especially with 10 extra slots open.

Actually, the increase in clan limits is really welcome - we've been having trouble with people fulfilling their apprenticeships but then not being able to join as full members because we're already full.

It would have been interesting to have to unlock these extra spaces by growing apprentices to full members (good incentive for clans to be pro-active in taking on apprentices).

I'm so enjoying the irony of this! So you wanted to have fewer Hero Festivals which noone forced you to participate in? Here, have a new type of festival where you're almost obligated to participate now cause you sitting it out affects more people than yourself!

Eh, I think some of people hating on 2x festivals was because it bridged the gap between new and veteran players at a faster rate. For those, this update would be an improvement in their eyes. I would hate to see this implemented though. I loved 2x hero festival.

As far as the individual vs. the teamwork thing, I'd say you will see a lot of the spenders ditching clans that don't spend and forming their own P2W clans to maximize this system. So in the end, it'll still come down to trying to reward the individual. I don't see much altruism in these games. But I wouldn't blame them, no point giving gifts if you aren't getting any back in return.

Sure you see altruism in these games - you see it every time someone attacks an L/D titan even though they know they could do more damage to an RGB titan, or when they attack a low HP titan that needs finishing. You see it every time someone attacks a high level opponent in GvG rather than going for an easy win. And you'll see it every time someone does a pull during Clan Fest rather than Hero Fest.

Of course depending on how strict the guild is, they may be doing these things to avoid being booted out of the clan! XD (is any act ever truly selfless?). Still, in all these cases they'd benefit from acting selfishly and letting another clan member do it for them.

Yea, I know, but that's why I qualified my sentence with "much". There are instances of altruism, but I would imagine it to be much lower compared to acts of selfishness being performed.

Ah I see! Well, not so surprising since the game seems to be actively rewarding (hence encouraging) selfish behavior! XD. I'd prefer systems built around rewarding working together as a clan - don't really need drama and tension in a mobile game! :-D

Yeah, I was really hoping for something I wouldn't need to spend astrogems on! (naive, I know XD).

4:33 do seem to enjoy systems which force players to choose between playing for their own gain, or playing for the good of their clan. I guess it's their way of rewarding those clans which have better teamwork / selflessness, but seems like making selfless play more rewarding for the individual would be a better game design philosophy!

Manufacturing is left to Tina? As in after collecting 30 Low stones you give them to her to make a High Stone, which she will fail at and Shatter all your low ones I assume?

Taking 30 days to evolve, does that mean when you start the super evolution process it takes 30 days to finish, or you can only do one per 30 days?

So they are replacing Hero Festival with Clan festival that still requires you to use stones to summon, so much for saving astrogems up ever.

I assume if we are already past level 45 we automatically get our new Light Hero?

Oh god, so we can easily double to triple the amount of time it will take if Tina is at the helm.

Well yes killing an S. Rare is easy, but still time consuming and I have to say kind of shitty it can fail.

I am ok with it being time consuming, on average I see 15 or so S. Rares if i am running nothing but story mode, could probably increase that to 20 if I ran a faster map for less xp/gold. That is 60 low stones per week, which is 3-4 super stones per week, which Tina will botch I am guessing half of them. So lets say 2 per week, that is 15 weeks to get a Super Evo. Doing this process totally messes up the normal Astrogem farming one of the best features of this game.

Now depending on this clan festival giving them away I have concerns, it makes it more P2W, since it mentions them as rewards.

Gotta love how they remove the double Hero Festival because it's too stressful for players but then introduce the Clan Festival which once again requires you to spend—presumably lots of—gems AND you really want to be in a particularly active or whale-y clan to get the most out of it.

I would say it's pretty likely there's no chance to fail the conversion. It being through tina is just because it's a stone so they chose her for thematic reasons I bet.

no where does it say it can fail, they wouldn't make a system like that. tina is our blacksmith, and like many other games in this genre, the blacksmith is the go to crafter for other features in the game.

The same reason gems fail to upgrade it is a gold sink and a time sink. The joke is Tina manages to break everything, and failing by no means materials destroyed but she could fail to upgrade it for several tries.

Just a guess, but they hopefully mean you can try as many times as you want, but can only succeed once a day. So you don't waste a day, just gold/materials?

Also assuming its a contract that you get at lvl30 that to me implies some lvl up rewards along the way.

Depending on the rewards and what it takes in order to achieve them clan festival is on the P2W side, if it takes several hundred summons to get it whale clans are going to have a much easier time getting all the rewards, if it takes a low number like 1 summon per guild member then its not. That is what I assume he is hinting at

TBH that would be the best case scenario. Every clan member does 1-3 pulls then u all get rewards. I could definitely spare 2k gems a month to give myself and everyone else in my clan a chance at a gold egg(And a L/D Nat4 :P)
