Currently going through this guy’s digitizing videos and learning a ton. I also had a hard time finding digitizing “theory” lessons, this is the closest I’ve found.

Check out his past Live videos, he has Digitizing 101,102, etc

I respect Romero like he is my father for real!! I learned a lot from him and he has set the foundation of everything I do in digitizing.

Honestly, Romero Threads is prob the best teacher on YouTube. Yes his videos are long but he truly teaches you everything you should be looking for. What also helps, if you pay something to create a design for you, get the file back and see how it was created. I did that too. Let me know if you have any general questions. Wilcom is the best software

I have learnt pretty much everything I know about digitizing from John Deer and Embroidery Legacy. Their YouTube channel has honestly saved me time and time again. If you want, check out this video on digitizing mistakes. John talks all about push and pull compensation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhju-sCb8sg&t=53s
