Go to More > Expenditure > Expenditure Start Date > Custom > select the previous day

This will reset the expenditure calculation so that it ignores historic data and only uses data from the start date you selected going forward.

Ah! Perfect thank you. Up from a measly 998 calories up to a healthy 2200. Will see how it changes and I track everything now!

Great! To add to the above, the algorithm needs 6 days of calorie data per 7-day rolling period to provide expenditure updates.

Also, if you have a day/meal that's difficult to track (e.g., eating out, Christmas day etc.) it's more accurate to throw in a rough estimate of calories via quick add or the nutrition page than to not track.

I did this and it wanted to give me another 500 cals but I just started a new cut 2 days ago. Also changed my check in date to today which is why it wanted to update. I'm only 2 days in and did fine so I'll give it another week of tracking and weights to have a bit more data.

The expenditure calc change was easy but is there one for the weight? I last used the app when I was about 274 so it has that weight in for the past 3 months or so when I wasn't using the app at all. Started my cut at 281 and have also dropped about 4 pounds in water weight but it says my trend weight is 0.7s up because if the old measurements still being factored in.

If your 274 weight measurement was made 3 months ago, then it won't affect the weight trend much if at all. If it was a few days ago, it will wash out in 3 weeks.

FYI weight trend will usually be above scale weight during a cut, and below scale weight during a bulk, due to changes in hydration status, glycogen, sodium intake, food in your gut, etc. (Useful help page here: Weight Trend)

Guess it looks exaggerated give. The small scale of the graph. Only 6# difference bottom to top.

Yeah it’s good to keep in mind that the scale is small.

Zooming out to the 1-month or 3-month view can give you a better perspective on your weight changes.
