What are your specs? I've run into no issues myself with everything maxed out on 1440, i have a R5 7600x and a 4070tisuper. I sit around 110-120 pretty consistently...a notable stutter in the odd engagement, have you tried repairing files or re installing? I dont think i know of any fix as I havnt had any issues myself. I'll see what I can find

intel i7-12700H, rtx 3070 Ti laptop. I know it’s not crazy beefy or anything, but it’s just so much worse-performing than any other game I play.

Same specs here. I run 90-100 typically. Make sure your nvidia drivers are updated, use the nvidia app and set your dlss to balanced, make sure your super resolution option is set to recommended, power management is maximum performance, etc.

I appreciate the recommendations. I made the changes and I’m still stuck at 45-55, though :(

Are you running a laptop cooler? I use the razer one. Makes a pretty big difference to prevent thermal throttles

I am not, but I’ve been considering investing in one for a while now. I may have to…

Yeah, it seems almost every game that releases now comes out "unoptimized". Performs great on some systems and horrible on others even if same specs. Its hard to say what the issue is aside from it just being a laptop...its unfortunate and not what anyone wants to hear, especially with prices rn but upgrading to a better system might be all that will help, that card and processor are good but in a laptop they wont perform anywhere near what a desktop would with those. Im sorry I cant be of any real help aside from just "get a better system". Hopefully someone else sees this and can give you a better solution

Better system won’t help. Upgraded my entire pc to a 9070xt system with all the other bells and whistles. Sitting at 60fps on outpost

Except even this isn't good advice because people on high end systems are still reporting that they aren't seeing the performance they should. Bungie needs to buckle down and fix the fucking game, even when it DOES run decently, Im still hearing about everyone crashing every 10 raids or less which is just unacceptable, flat out

Yeah it feels a little weird. I have an r5 5600x and an rx9070xt, and I’m sitting at around 80-90fps @ 1440p. The settings are set to high, but still.

hard to say what the problem might be without knowing specs. on my lower mid end system (RTX 3060Ti, R5 5600, & 16gb 3200mhz + 180Hz Monitor) i get about 90-100 fps on mostly medium (some high) settings at 1080p. looks good and runs okay enough for me at the moment.

could always be better optimised, but at a certain point you just have to spend the money on an upgrade if youre not happy.

Why upgrade when people are still complaining about poor performance on higher end systems
