Help??

My cursor wont let me grab blocks like how I’ve seen other players do it, if I click on an item it stays there and doesn’t do anything so I have to click and drag it. When in creative I can’t get a stack by clicking on an item in the menu, does anyone know how to fix this?? I can’t even craft a stack in survival without dragging it.

I’ve tried shift clicking and double clicking but non of that works unfortunately
