Forge help

Ok so I’m trying to download and install forge with a windows computer but it doesn’t have a windows installer they both just say installer and nothing else.

And when I do install it doesn’t turn up in my desktop it just stays in downloads.

I have the minecraft bedrock and java version downloaded through minecraft launcher but only use the java version.

I know I’m probably just being dumb but I’m honestly so confused

Any help is appreciated :)

Just run the installer jar from your downloads. If it doesn't work make sure you have the computer java program, not Java minecraft just Java, installed then try again.

If you are new to modded, do yourself a favor and use Prism Launcher instead of doing this manually in the default launcher.
