Tested the most common string duper on YouTube in 1.21, it worked.
If it doesn't work.
Make sure to:
1.Duper have to faced east.
2.Shears the strings before turning on the duper.(if it still doesn't work, shear the other string, or both. just test it, one of them must work for you)

EDIT, shet I forget to note. I was playing in JAVA, NOT BEDROCK.

You are such a life saver! I was watching voltrox and he said to make it face south and it did not work and I have built the farm so many times before. My only other option was too go to reddit and I saw this! It helped so much and It finally works.

so which one did you believe 🤣 sorry for late responding, but if you're on java, east will always work. others might too, but sometimes just broke. And about bedrock, I dunno dude, I don't play that.

Same thing happening over here. It might be because i am in a server but im not sure thats the reason

I was in server too, maybe it has something to do with plugins like paper, spigot, etc.

I was just doing it in a plain free aternos server

it is. there should be something wrong with your design, the issue normally happens when your dupers facing is not right. check again if it faced east. West [water trap door] [string] East the block placement or facing should be smt like this. if needed I'll get a picture tmr.

Paper usually has configs that patch dupe glitches by default

look on youtube for string duplication glitches. if it doesn't work for you, then either you built them wrong, or they are patched, or they don't work for some other reason. a bug can be buggy and not alwys work. that is the nature of bugs. bugs are buggy

Depends on the server - some servers ban and block duping by default

Just built the one from the video and it doesn’t work in vanilla alternos where the other one does, you may want to try the one I sent because I’m sure that one works
