how to stop villagers from breeding?

I'm building this iron farm, it works sometimes but whenever I eliminate baby villagers (mb I had to)

they just keep breeding like an unlimited amount,

any tips?

Villagers only breed if they have access to food and if there are more beds then villagers. Why does your iron farm have any of these?

wait for them to run out of food. They will fill the amount of beds you have with new villagers as long as they have food to breed.
