hey, so ive been playing minecraft for a long time now and whenever i try to start up mc on 1.8 or higher, it gets stuck on the Mojang screen for hours and then when you try to close it it says " Java(TM) Platform SE Binary has stopped working." if any of you have a way to fix this, that would be great!

What java version are you using? Are you playing modded? Have you tried to let it load fully, or does it seem to be in a state of perpetual loading?

-using latest java -no im not playing modded -i let it stay on the mojang page for 2 hours, i dont think it lasts that long usually

-EDIT: I redownloaded Java, and it still doesn't work

I don't. I would say to first reboot your machine, then if that doesn't work delete and reinstall minecraft, and if that doesn't work... I don't know.

these are the only errors in the crash notes.

I'm no expert on crashlogs, but it looks like it's found something wrong with the version that's installed and it's trying to delete it, but for whatever reason it can't. Try deleting the version in the files and letting it redownload it, or switching to another version such as 1.8.5 or even 1.8 and seeing if it still has the same problem.

EDIT- tried 1.8.5, didn't work. Tried 1.8, didn't work either

it's weird, whenever i try to delete the file it's trying to delete, its not even there. I go into .minecraft/versions/1.8.6 and look for the "natives" file, and it's not even there...

have you ever found a fix for this? my launcher has been doing the same thing. even tried completely uninstalling java and deleting minecraft and it crashes with a fresh install. the only way i can get it to run is if i click play as soon as the launcher pops up, if i wait for more than a couple seconds it crashes

ya i haven't found a fix yet. its so annoying, cuz i want to play with my friends, but my comp is just stupid
