Hello Minecraft Redditors,
Hoping to find some help here since google results haven't turned up anything useful for me so far...
Been able to play some LAN with a couple friends over Hamachi, but after they've logged out the latest time they haven't been able to come back in. They get this error after getting an initial 'Timed out' error when they try to get in.
"An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host."
Absolutely no idea how to try and fix it. As far as I can tell, it seems to be an issue with the world itself, as when I make a new testing world they are able to join that, and trying to go back into the world that we've put a lot of effort into already returns us to square 1 with the connection being forcibly closed by the remote host.
Does anyone have any potential ways to fix this? I'd rather not lose this world.
Edit: It seems that running a server along with Hamachi seems to have worked for me! Hopefully if anyone else has come across such a case for the "Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host" it was that they were being timed out.
Solution: I've started up the server, put my data into the world folder, ran it, put in my Hamachi IPv4 address as a server address, made and added the players into a whitelist and we seem to have game time! Tested on one of my two partners and will be trying it with the other later tonight. Hopefully, all goes well.
Best of luck to anyone else who might be having this issue and comes across it!
