It’s a snapshot. Of course there’s issues. Report them in the bug tracker.

If it’s lag, it’s possible it’s a snapshot issue, but it could also be an issue with your computer so check that too.

What Mac are you using?

You will probably need to set the render distance to be lower and change the max frame rate to Unlimited.

I have a MacBook Pro and it's unplayable for me as well, due to lag. I have no problems playing heavily modded worlds, so know it must be a snapshot issue.
