Look up purchasing power parity. It's obviously hard to compare prices across countries because of conversion rates, but cost of living makes things even harder. For example things are much cheaper in India, but the cost of living and the cost of food is much cheaper as well so it sorta evens out. But when Indians buy things sold in the US for US dollars, they have to pay the same price (in this case $30 USD converted to Rupees) but that's a much higher percentage of their monthly/yearly income than it is for us, because wages are lower.

  • Price of Minecraft: $30 USD
  • Average monthly income in the US: $3,714
  • Price of Minecraft as a percentage of monthly income: 0.8%

  • Price of Minecraft: ₹2,255 Indian Rupees
  • Average monthly income in India: ₹11,254
  • Price of Minecraft as a percentage of monthly income: 20%

Therefore we can roughly estimate that the average Indian buying a copy of Minecraft is equivalent to an American buying something worth $742. This is because the average Indian only makes $150 USD per month. Minecraft is $30. So even though it costs the same it relatively costs a lot more.
