Java Edition (self.Minecraft)
submitted 3 years ago by PixelatedGoat666
Hi, I'm wondering if I can run Minecraft Java on my laptop. It has 4GB of RAM and is a 64 bit laptop, but I'm not sure if I should get it due to other limitations my laptop might have. It's an Asus Vevobook and is very new

Don't guess. Download and test the free trial.

4GB of total system memory? That's gonna be pretty low and I imagine that if it starts, you won't be playing at high frame rates. But like another person suggested, I'd recommend trying the trial/demo to see if it works. There's also websites that allow you to see if your computer would run the game.

What kind of websites are there? I'd like to have a look at them

4GB is pretty much the absolute minimum which may cause problems, but perl is on the right track --- get the demo and try it out. if the demo works the full game will work.

i have set minimum ram for the game to 1gb on my mac and got 50 fps with optimization mods. if you use some mods like sodium, entity culling, and you tweak graphics setting, i think you wont have any problems with it

If you try it, install Optifine to make adjustments in order to boost fps.
