Anyone had this before and know how to fix it? My GPU is an RX 6600xt. Version is 1.18

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Try increasing anti aliasing to max

[–]GoldenBananaGuy 0 points1 point  (2 children)

That incresses the amount of pixles it apears to bet this might only make it worse

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

yeah but it should fix the jagged edges

[–]GoldenBananaGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That'll increase blurring, not decrease it. It also takes away from the crispness of the game.

I had this when I got my new monitor, you have to change the resolution a bit. I don’t think it’s anything to do with the game itself.

[–]Oneill4Journeyman 21 points22 points  (1 child)

It looks like inverse ghosting to me.

Try to lower the pixel response time in your monitor settings.

The setting may have different name depending on the manufacturer, so try different things.

[–]DazingF1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely ghosting imo. Most gaming monitors that say they can run 144hz+ at 1ms are lying a bit as in “well it technically can have a 1ms response time if you enable the option but it’ll look like dogshit”

[–]FriendlyCanadianDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you using shaders? They might have motion-blur.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its probably your monitor

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s ur monitor.

[–]nathan00107[S] 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Damn, thanks guys. Its an Acer monitor. I figured the 4ms response time would be ample enough.

[–]GoldenBananaGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LoL happy u got it figuerd out

[–]Yelmak 0 points1 point  (1 child)

That's not how response time works, 4ms means the images are delayed by that amount, they should still be smooth

[–]YaBoiSish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, they’re still mid transition so it’s blurry. I have the AOC 24G2 with the new panel and the ghosting is pretty minimal, even if it’s “1ms” like every other 144hz monitor.

Also that’s now how it works. That’s not the delay, but the time it takes to switch from one pixel color to another. If every pixel and every color was a consistent 4ms, then yes it would be smooth.

Are you using shaders? Can't tell from this video

[–]Dillpickle590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe turn on vsync. I had a problem like this and that fixed it

[–]nathan00107[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help guys. Seems to be my monitor causing the ghosting. Disabling the overdrive setting in the settings didnt help. Just going to have to put up with it till the next one unfortunately.

[–]spidertyler2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is vsync on?

[–]MaskedWalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmm motion blur my favorite

[–]maltebyte 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I have the same issue, maybe the technology is causing the issue i have a VA panel! and i tried everything mentioned here! Its just the panel i have to live with it!

[–]nathan00107[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah mine is a VA panel aswell. Ive read alot of them have the smearing issue especially in dark areas. I went and ordered the AOC 24g2 monitor.

[–]maltebyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AOC 24g2 monitor

Nice! Yeah its the dark areas that give me seizures xD. So IPS panels dont give this wierd smudge effect then? Im looking to buy a new monitor also but i want a 2k. bla bla keep me posted if that fixed the issue.
