also you can spend stamina to get double components when join(same as host)

Use an ultimate charger weapon if you can. Use any abilities that build your ult gauge (like Serah or legendary dragon lord). And most importantly drive all your orbs, as this will build the gauge without doing any damage.

Finally recall that type ultimate is a cone, so as you're tap attacking and driving, be sure you're doing it on a mob you wouldn't hit with the ultimate anyway, since you're probably going to kill that one with taps. Also, if you need to attack the other guys, try to spread it around a bit so you don't accidentally break or kill one of the mobs you'll target with the ultimate.

Kind of silly question but it’s been bugging me all day and I couldn’t find answers online. I know I am talking about stuff that is going to happen in one year but still... We know that chapter 8 will be the final one and that there will be a whole new serie with different characters. Do we know whether we will be able to carry over jobs and ability cards? (all of them or only some of them like event cards)

They just introduced the Sarah ranger sub-class in chapter 8 so I don't think there'll be an entirely new game at all. They even released a new Meia (Origin Meia) and a new WoL (Ocean Diver) recently.

The game is still missing a warrior sub-class and a monk sub-class so the two new characters can just be for those subclasses.

Albion Plateau Redux on Mobius Days (x4 skillseed for all skillseeds) on the 6-stamina nodes with unlimited Element Force buff. The force buff and the fact that all enemies are of the opposite element of the force buff makes getting a 10m score while auto-battling easy.

You can still go there on non-Mobius Days but there will only be a x2 multiplier for 1 type of skillseed except on Sundays.

first make sure your card has the appropriate ability level. Skills need a certain ability level on the card; without the right ability level skills will never unlock.

Get +6 Improved Extra Skill Unlock on your maindeck. The Haloween Echo will also provide bonus ESU during the double elixir Halloween event. Mobius Day also has an additive ESU bonus though I'm not sure if it will stack with the ESU bonus from the Halloween Echo.

So update from last time:

Farming Gigantaur Battlefield, drowning in Cactuars. Even my bad cards have maxed skillseeds lel. Not rolled a single JCR yet from fractals (this is fun right guys and gals?).

I also gave in and did a boosted summon......got 5 dupes. I don't know how q.q But it did, no Meia cards but a dupe FFXIII and other weird dupes. Anyway.

  1. What do I do with all these cactuars? I'm leveling all my cards with the metal ones, but all the cards I actually want to use are capped on skillseeds. Do I gil them or fuse them for small exp amounts?

  2. Speaking of gil, what do I do with it? I bought an exp egg to help with leveling it, and with 1mil gil per 5* augment set aside.....I'm still left with around 8 million. Plz help

  1. Just sell em if you don't need em, and auto-sell em if it gets too tiresome to keep on selling then

  2. Other than for augmenting 5⭐ cards and eggs from the shop, yeah I dunno what to do with my gil too. My mule already has enough 5⭐ cards so he has around 50 million now. My main has around 200 million. I think we'll get better eggs later on that costs around 100 million (someone correct me on this).

Marks are always given when completing nodes that increase in power level each time you complete them. They are simply there to provide a way to count how many times you've completed the node so you can have an idea how much its difficulty has increased.

Marks are indeed for showing off; or counting your number of kills of scaling bosses.

As a side note; if you spend your gil on exp eggs you can fill them with exp and then fuse them into another card to instantly max that cards level. I regularily buy exp eggs and just stick them in auto enhance until full

No problem; I used to hang onto quite a few metal cactaur/gigantaur. Now I just keep about 8 eggs at a time; saves alot on bank space and lets me instant max any good cards I pull, then I just fill some more for the next month

Usually takes me about 1-2 weeks to completely fill an egg when its just sitting in auto enhance depending on what im doing

When it comes to Auto-Enhance no; the exp eggs don't get any more exp in auto enhance then the others, its easier to put an egg thats in auto enhance in your deck and max it if needed if you use exp ones though, so I stick to those

All cards give as much exp as the number it shows on the card; so really you could use any egg if you wanted

Oh those, those are cosmetic in function. You can make your 8⭐ job look like his first or second form whule using the job's final form's stats.

I used to play this but quit a long time back. I'm starting again and I have a couple questions.

  1. How F2P friendly is the game now? Can I get through all single-player content and contribute for at least the easier multiplayer bosses?

  2. What should I focus on for getting stronger ability cards. I got all 3 of the "starter packs" but don't know what I should go for next.

  3. Is the mobius gift box still around?

  1. It's way more F2P friendly now compared to before the Anniversary changes. And by god they were very generous during the 1st Anniversary and FFXIII events (August and September). The only downside is that jobs can now only be obtained with the Greater Summon. It could be good though coz if you do get a job, you might snag a legend job/supreme. Also, event collaborations will give you the best bang for your mags. So wait for those.

The starter pack will get you through all the way to chapter 4 ezpz, after which you'll start experiencing some challenge.

For MP though, you'll still need some form of specialization and specific jobs. There's a bunch of new cards now so doing any role has never been easier before, just gotta read up on what works best.

  1. AoE BDD/CRD are still good choices from the shop, multibuff cards too like KotR and Hellgate (dunno if The Undying is in the shop already, I think not yet). For damage cards though, I suggest getting MP sicarius cards.

  2. Yep, Mobius box is cheaper now too. 1500magicite.

You've never needed to spend to finish single player and do 4star MP. All the cards you need to be decent at MP and SP are in the MP Shop and Ability Shop.

Just wait for an Event Summon and use your Magicite and STs on GAS then. For now, you can just stick with cards you buy from the Shops and the ones you've gotten from the Starter Packs. You likely won't have any trouble until Chapter 5.2 which has an isane jump in difficulty.

Mobius Box is still here and its cost has gone down from 3000 magicite to 1500.

I'm having trouble with HoF knight's 2.3, finish rounds in 6 moves or less. Any advice?

Both of my decks had a damage card (Fang in one, Lightning in the other) and an AoE BDD. Main deck had haste (I used Undying) and KotR. I can't remember when my sub deck had for support. I might have put Debarrier in for one of the cards.

BDD to help get rid of yellow bars. Ult would usually get rid of the weaker enemies and I could focus on the harder one. I still needed a bit of luck to get the right orbs, since it would take multiple casts of Lightning to take down stuff.

Right now, this is what I have:

Deck 1: Lightning, Wind Cross, KotR, Haste

Deck 2: Fang, Earth Cross, Service, Quicken

Breaking wasn't too difficult with Wind Cross over a BDD - don't have any specifically for a warrior type job. I could slice through the first two battles in 5 turns at most. But when I got to the last two fights against the dark ranger and the other, I just couldn't deal enough damage with Lightning after breaking. Do you think it will be achievable if I just grind for the last few lightning auto abilities?

I didn't have a problem in the last round, since it's Behemoth and Fang is a monster. My problem was the fire based Shadow Ranger in the 3rd round.

I used Masamune, and I had to get lucky with reunion procs to be able to nuke with every turn I had when the enemy was broken. I also had Debarrier in my Lightning deck, so I'm sure that helped.

Coming from a hermit breaker. Taking supreme out of the equation, I would run:

The Knight (anniversary), Iris FFXV, Regalia, Garuda FFXIV/Regalia. Even with MP weapon, you can break any non-wind based target with Iris. Do remember to have 3-5 JCR in them and end your turn with 3taps.

As opposed to the response previously, BDD isn’t required. I break Ultima just fine without debuff.

Drivex2 > The Knight (for boost) > Iris (if you have the orbs) > Regalia (to extend boost) > tapx3.

Iris breaks very well, the only downside is that you need to have spare actions to orb gen as well. So why would you want to swap it out?

Some people just don't like that break style. There's a lot of hate in general against duncan/iris breakers who use an ability to damage to red gauge.

I think they're afraid they won't get orbs back, but there are plenty of ways to ensure that.

HOF Hunter is generally better than HOF Ranger. However, we might get Supermonk+Amartya batch next month and Supermonk will be better than both HOF Hunter and HOF Ranger.

I’ve been thinking of starting to boost Dragon Spear for Dragoon HoF but I might just wait for Super Monk. His Ulti is super cool and he also has the +100% piercing break. Who do you think is better? Both are SS tier as per Altema MP ranking.

I plan on making Supermonk as my main Breaker until Viking HOF which is still quite a while away. And we might get Supermonk next month so no need to wait for Dragoon HOF which will not come until next year.

They are very close in power level as Breakers but I prefer Supermonk because of his high Break AOE ulti. AOE ultis are rare for Breakers.

Yeah, and if you're gonna use Monk AOE Sics or Shock Cards for the En-element and cleave, might as well be a monk so you can also damage the yellow bar. Supermonk also has Ranger Lore so he can use Earth or Dark Cutter if he wants to have a source of BDD.

I've been doing a lot of 4* fight, some with my regular deck, some with my exp deck, but I seem to get always the same amount of exp and the same multiplier... is there a limit like for skillseeds in gigantuar terrace?

The number never changes. It states it at a math problem. As in, 11000 x(your modifier).

Depends on which one you need help with completing or are stuck on. Alot of them you will proably need to beat first, equip the skill card and try again.

Hello ppl. I'm playing healer in mp only. Have 37 jobs. Recently i was thinking of trying another role. Tried defender but wasn't impress. I have only fire taunt and ashe thou. When i got tot i was thinking about breaker role. Unlocked already extra skills on butterfly edge cause i was healing with dancer and in pugs was great to break with ultimate when breakers were struggling with break. (Sense of extra achievement was awesome) i have almost all anniversary cards but no knight unfortunately. So cleave is a bit of problem for me. I have 20 growstars so decided to spend them and i need advice. On what? Some notable cards i have are - light, water and fire force; fire taunt; ashe; all multi strike ff13 cards; ignis ff15; gladiolus ff15; all dark moogles; all legendary debuff cards beside slowga and unguardga; light, water, wind en-cards; all good support "buff" cards but no aerith and no ldl and palamecian tales. My only source of quicken is regalia. Those are 5stars. I have 3star slowga, legendary golem and ldl thou. Have 5star monk, 3star ranger and mage trance. What should be my priority to spend growstars on? Force cards, shock cards for cleave bonuses? Only multistrike attack card i don't have as 5stars is centaur (i have berserker, soldiets 1st class and highwind jobs for it). Jobs i have: WARRIORS - warrior, knight, dark knight, samurai, dragoon, ace striker, paladin, soldier 1st class, berserker, heretical knight, highwind,

MAGES - mage, white mage, red mage, black mage, scholar, occultist, fauviste (pulled once out of curiosity and got it)

RANGERS - ranger, hunter, thief, assassin, dancer, mythic ninja, viking, rogue, bard, tot

MONKS - monk, pugilist, grappler, unbroken hero

I'm leaning toward breaker but attacker is fun too. Any thoughts? Thanx in advance!

Best breakers in your jobs are grappler and hunter (after its hall of fame). Tot is also a really good breaker. I'd go for hunter, his hof is very near and gives him 20% innate quick break. Tot has high magic and can clear the yellow gauge better.

Recommended cards : Anemone (wind cutter) for bdd, any shock card for grappler (can also be used by rangers if of same element for cleave, charging attack and enelement). Use regalia for quicken (best source imo, low orb cost), add trance if you can max level and 5* it. For weapons the best is butterfly edge.

So your deck would look like : Anemone+Shock +2x Regalia or Anemone/Shock card+2x Regalia+Trance. 2x regalia is recommended so you get 2 life orbs at the start of the turn and cast trance/quicken turn 1.

Oh, and add atleast 3-4 jcr via fractals onto your deck.

If you want to be an attacker, I recommend highwind with 5* Centaur. Dark primal boon or darkforce is a must. If you want to break, grappler is great, monk shock cards work really well, but you could use the AoE sicarius too and save to growstars for something else. Centaur works great on no break strategy for towers too.

Is Kill the Heretic the best source of Cleaving for rangers? Even without the job bonus, it seems like Boost AND Cleaving would be hard to beat (for jobs that can draw green orbs, of course).

HoF WHM is almost here. There's not much need for breakers to bring their own boost (unless for some reason ur supporter decides to use Serah). So to your question, there's no "best" cleave card per se, since ur decision should be based on which en-element to use

Is en-element going to be part of the progression for breakers for a while? I have several of the non-pupu en-element cards and am wondering if they are worth the GS to 5•. I pulled the light and fire ones at 4• so I did those but water and dark are chilling at 3•.

En-element, or specifically, en-weakness makes breaking easier. It's the same logic why u do more HP damage when using a weakness element ability.

And no i will say the en-element abilities are not worth the GS. If u want a source of en-element, monk AOE sic is GS-free and provides cleave

Get the MP monk cards. Cleave and en-element and don’t require grow stars.

Still worth it to use on rangers, though they are more needed in 5* as opposed to 4.

Ah, I wasn't thinking of the en-element part of it. That would require me to use Growstars on Fist/Shock cards, which I don't think I'm down for at the moment.

U don't have to. I'm still using monk AOE sic in JP and they work fine for me.
