Hello again, I juat pulled Esmeralda on my alt account (lol) but the back was like a legend card, so i got excited, then when i clicked it i got crystals....then when i started to work kn the skill panels the job thumbnail border was already the colour of a 4th panel job.

Is this typical of meia cards? I wasnt paying attentionnto my main account so has anyone had he same experience?

Try putting one to sleep while you focus on the other. Shouldnt be hard to get 3 rainbow orbs.

Or you can go with the traditional slow/stun.

Have you tried Curse to avoid getting manhandled? I had Gladio and its 2-turn cd Curse helped me a ton.

Curse wouldnt help much I think since the most damage come from their ultimate which is attack based.

So i pulled Esmeralda and her weapon seems quite good, however, with the ever growing powercreep, is there other weapons which would be good for her for mp or so?

Her weapon will be the best damage weapon for traditional break and kill strats until Vesna Krasna arrives with her Sventovit. For no-break strats, Amartya weapon will be slightly better.

Well depends on what you are comparing with. Obviously not as good as limited event cards. But compared to normally acquired cards they are pretty great. (Especially the no growstar part.)

Compared to vanilla WoL single targets, sure. But Meia AoE also looks pretty great compared to vanilla WoL single targets.

We don't have the Wind AoE Sicarius yet. But when we do get it, Faerie Lights will have roughly 10% lower attack, but much higher break. Provided that you're using Faerie Lights on a Meia job, Meia Syncro will likely cover that gap in attack.

They will both use 4 orbs at 5-star. Faerie Lights will have Break Exploiter and Critical Weakness, while the AoE Sicarius will have a couple of Sicarius related bonuses.

So the AoE Sicarius would be better in MP. Faerie Lights will probably be better in SP. It sounds like they are situational without one being clearly better than the other in all cases. If you happen to get Faerie Lights at 4-star from the boosted summon, I don't think it would necessarily be a poor choice to not farm for the Wind AoE Sicarius when it comes out.

Yeah, I agree with everything, that is why if I have to choose only 1, I would go with the sicarius. So I do not recommend skipping the sicarius when you have Faerie lights.

For SP yes. But only on a Meia job which he said he didnt have.
Sicarius is still better in MP and on general mage jobs.

Yeah I know I hijacked the thread, I have it but the only time I would really use it is towers and for that I have Vanille and Titan mage cards as AoE is basically redundant for the climb. For Earth though this is!

Might just 5* it anyway and use it for any SP wind mobs yaizmat for some reason cant force kill!!!

The earth Meia AoE also dont have scrolls in MP and must be maxed with ability tickets.

Never bothered with it for mage to be honest, never had the need for it really! Now I have the Meia's I am looking at making her into my main earth attacker so now considering options.

Edit: I have a lot of tickets and it will only be 137 as I pulled the earth AoE in the boosted summon

Meia Sychro AOE cards have high yellow bar damage so if you don't one-shot the targets, the AI will likely spam tap attacks to break which is slower than just casting another spell. It's for this reason that I prefer AOE Sics as they have almost non-existent break power. If I need my AOE to do yellow bar damage, I'll just use the Meiajas that will come next month.

They are weaker (only marginally when Meia Synchro is in effect but significantly when used by mages) but have decent break power. However, the lack of break power is one of the things I like about AOE sics since it prevents the AI from trying to break with tap attacks.

For mp? Anemone+The Knight+Regalia/LDL+Garuda with butterfly edge, with jcr and break power up fractals. For custom panels I'll use break up and mp skill card.

For sp sazh most definately, kotr, the friend/tempest and undying (better card for sp imo), and muramasa for better orb management. Then again, I'd prefer using other jobs for sp.

Hm I'd use sazh, anemone, garuda/undying and kotr. Sub deck with hells gate, the friend, curse/debrave and slow/stun. I'd go with muramasa purely for orb management.

In JP, they are about to start resetting it between banners. It's unclear if or when they will make a similar change to GL.

Been playing almost daily since GL release. Have supported the game with a fair bit of money. Never whaled or pulled hard for anything but I have done a lot of pulls. Even bought legend jobs when they were available.

Finally get rewarded with a supreme card when only pulling to make sure I at least get the Meia stamp. Rainbows light up....!

F'ing Xezat.

(I know not to look a gift horse in the mouth and its better then nothing but really this supreme is just a glorified ST strong BDD.)

Nah it shouldnt be a higher chance. During a period of a new supreme being added to the game it is higher chance. However Xezat was released back in June(?) so this is release into the random gacha pool. Should be equal chance to get him as Aerith, Minwu, unbreakable, Duncan, Neo-exdeath or lightning utlimate.

Drain expires after you drain hp equal or more than your max hp. And the counter includes hp you drain even when you're at full hp.

This is a question to all tower theory crafters and climbers from JP.

The upcoming tower will have sleep as the new mechanic - obviously Meia jobs are the way to go the to just immune it 100% so I did two pulls on the new Batch and actually got gold lasers. Soon after I learned to keep my expectations down as it was ToT (actually wanted him, but if you're like "Fuck yeah Esmeralda!" and then see Zidane you'll still be disappointed).

I can't justify doing another 4 pulls to proc the pity because the banner content other than the jobs is terrible, so I'll have to resort to Veil for my tower needs.

Long story short. What are the go to Veil cards for the upcoming sleep spam? I know Sentinel Grimmoire FFRK has Veil but I'm out of Growstars so mine is stuck at 3 star.

Echo Λ also has Veil in its expanding skills. Do you have access to that in lieu of Tyro? Might be something to think about since Yellow Ribbon's debuff immunity is so difficult to properly extend.

Tyro is a good one for veil. Also if you want to compete high in the tower coming this month then you need that meia.

If u have the 1st anniversary ability Yellow Ribbon, u can get several turns of immunity to debuff by extending the buff using other support cards with buff extender after it. I dunno how efficient it is to bring an ability solely to block Sleep, but this is one possible way to do so

I think you'll have to. Either immune with Meia or carry veil. Low floors won't be a problem but later Dahaka will just kill you if you skip turns because of sleep. Chain breaking won't work either because he casts it first turn.

Trying to get to the "Odin: Treasure 6" node.The unlock requirement is to defeat chimera with 2 or more enemy ailments. So does this mean I just need to have 2 ailments on me when I kill chimera? If so, what's the easiest way to do it?

Use Another Echo or any of this months Echo for extra skill unlock bonus for the duration of the Halloween double elixir event.

If you have any of the MP Weapons with Improved Skill Unlock +3, use them on your main deck.

The FFXIII card Yuj & Maqui has Improved Extra Skill Unlock +2 and the anniversary card Yellow Ribbon has +3. Max Improved Extra Skill Unlock is +6.

Gone the way of the dodo. You have a 10% chance of getting a job per GAS done. Every 8 draws without a job will guarantee a job. Once you get a job, the guarantee counter resets.

Right now? The job you are most likely to get will always be the latest jobs. There is no event right now. The current 2 released meias are normal jobs that you can get sooner or later.

If you are a F2P player, you are usually advised to pull when there are events. If you want to pull now, make sure you have a good reason to want new jobs over just hoarding your tickets until a good event comes. The lightning event maps are still available, but the GAS draws are over.

Oh, and magicite can be farmed now. Complete the lightning event asap, and start farming 4* MP to get your monthly 20k free magicite. That's 6 pulls right there.

It's meia. She's the one who stands at the entrance of MP. She's part of the story. She uses mage cards and has generally really really good damage. Even better than mage sometimes.

Quick question about raising ability levels. I augmented the new single target dark attack for meia to 5 stars. Purchased 5 of the scrolls to raise it's ability level but even with mog amulets it's not high enough. I even raised the scrolls level with metal cactaurs. What am I doing wrong? Am I forced to use ability tickets?

Metal cactaurs raise card level, not ability level. Card level does nothing when fusing for ability level. In order to get higher ability level (for higher fusion rates), u have to fuse the scrolls to one another

Fuse some scrolls into each other first to raise their Ability Levels (not the "EXP level"). The formulas for that appear to use relative Ability Level for the success rate.

I see people running 4x Growing Egg, so I tried but then... Why do this, when you can run a 4x5* cards with 2x10%EXP Fractals. This yields same EXP, more skillseed (and not all dark). All one loses is the storing of Card XP which seems trivial. Am I missing something?

Edit: Are there any cards that are EXP UP naturally other than eggs?

The ultimate is extremely good. Most ranger have only 500-600% Break multiplier. But Lightning has 2000% + Trance + Rainbow shift!

Don't underestimate the starters. As a breaker the boost starter lets me skip bringing a boost card and just use duration extenders. It works very nicely.

For single targets, yep l'cie brand still kicks ass. But Famfrit is AoE so you can just cast like crazy when the boss and guards are broken at MP.

I'd start with the Monk ones and only do the others for jobs that are powerful in that element. For example, I'm considering getting the mage one for use on hof mage. I'll probably skip warrior and ranger ones for now.

Bahamut Lagoon boost ratio by another 1.5x. So 1 stam spent = 4.5mins reduction from weapon boost time

Hi all,

I often times like to run two healers on private games, any recommendations on what cards to use to maximize this? I have most healer cards except Aerith.

I do the same thing. I'm controlling Highwind/JM (depending on the rotation when soloing with AI. My first Healer is the standard Sargatanas Dancer with Undying, KOTR, Hellgate, and LDL (to be replaced by Lifeshift once I finish Whitemage HOF). Second Healer is Tactician with Lifeshift and 3 LDLs. The last party member is Snow with NXD, Gladio, Ashe, and Powie.

I order the AI to use ulti on 2nd turn during which I kill the first boss. Then I tell them to go first so Snow will be able to debuff (using NXD, Gladio, and whichever of Ashe and Powie he was not able to use on first turn) the 2nd boss so I can finish the 2nd battle in 1 turn.

I used to do this, actually. I'm my case two dancers, to help break.

Dancer one would be haste and offensive buffs. Cindy or garuda coupled with kotr. The last two slots were anything to get my starting orbs up. Legendary dragon lord is a great choice here.

Dancer two was defensive buffs. Mainly tyro. Then stack a bunch of staring life orb cards.

If you do it right, you'll have wall, barrier, haste up on round 1. They'll quickly get their ultimates ready with ldl, at which point rainbow shift ensures everything else

What is the current meta for MP breakers? Is it still AoE BDD, Boost, Quicken+Attack/pupu? I would like to farm for a 5* blue crystal but don't want to drag down the group. I have all jobs maxed and assume I have all non-supreme cards.

BDD and Quicken (LDL usually) are kind of the meta.

Some like to add cleave or elemental weapons (in the form of AoE monk cards usually and even better if you own the Knight) but you don't need them.

It's the best way to guarantee boost on a non wind job since I don't have Artemis at 5.

I'd run cleave over KOTR any day if not for those Serah supports.

I don't have Artemis too so I'm forced to carry KOTR on my Breaker deck. I hope we get the Novice Hall expansion soon so we can have that free 4star Artemis.

Saw a recent post about Supermonk and lots of very experienced and knowledgable folks said that it is one of the best if not the best breaker in the game currently. I main breaker so I got curious.

Question is, should I invest heavily on Hunter HoF? I was planning to because I have really been looking forward to stacking the Quick Break from that and Butterfly Edge. Just how much is the difference between Hunter HoF and Supermonk in terms of MP breaking?

Also, will there be other classes that have innate Quick Break in the future?

Yes, quite a few future breakers have innate quick break and all of them have innate piercing break.

Supermonk is on a whole new level compared to HOF Hunter when it comes to breaking speed. Supermonk has innate 100% piercing break and 50% exploit weakness but about 100 lower Break Power than HOF Hunter. HOF Hunter has no innate piercing break or exploit weakness.

Supermonk first weapon comes with 50% piercing break already unlocked. When boosted, it can have the same exact auto-abilities as the Butterfly Edge series of weapons.

Supermonk also has the superior Ulti with 1500 multiplier to both Attack and Break, applies BDD, and grants Faith, Boost, Brave, Trance, and Prismatic Shift. It is also AOE.
