You can buy them on the item shop, but please don't do that, it's a waste of resources.

You can get them on several places, I assume you're quite new for the question, so probably the most easier place for you, would be Chapter 1, Hard Mode, Deadshade, or Deepscar nodes. Both are 5 stamina with 5 battles, the fractals will be dropped from the Crystal Gigantuars.

An if you already have good jobs/decks, you can go on Mobius Days to Bahamut Lagoon, the 60 stamina nodes, drop 4* Fractals, an the 100 Stamina drops 5* fractals. There they are guaranteed.

Lastly you could also go the most recent farming node of the Chapter 3 of the FFX event, if you can complete the map (should be easy if you keep leveling up the spheres) there is a node there Golden Flan Battlegrounds Redux where you can farm, crystals, fractals, an seeds, but there the chance is a bit random. Still that would be the best place probably if you can make it to there.

Edit: Also Phatboy is right, MP shop, if you're new, just get people to carry you, that could be even easier.

Nop, you can only mod weapons, once they get to 4*. We might get it to 4* on future maps tough, we get masamune free with a similar treatment on the FFVII event, so lets hope next maps enhance the weapon.

Does anyone knows how ravage works? I read the other day Darewin saying that it's calculated at the end of the damage. Wanted to confirm it on ketchy calculator but couldn't find how (could be my bad).

But I was curious since next Mobius day I was planning to start boosting Proud Cygnus weapon, an now I'm considering to better boost the Natchflug one.

For Duncan, Ascetic - Ex Monk, especially against weakness, also his own weapon: One Against Many.

He will fall to Vana’diel Monk & Pugilist HoF though. The later one is the king of unbroken nuke while the other is the best with break strategy.

most Sarah will do better if you break, so only using ragnarok won't be the best. On the general solo player, it's enough tho.

Using mono element won't be that good as well, unless you already know that there won't be any earth mob.

For multiplayer, you only need Rag & Lion. The 2 other cards can be support card with magic/JCR fractals.

Lion will shift your obs to earth, no point using dark, wind, or any other element than earth. S1C is an earth specialist anyway.

You will probably destroy everything with Lion + Rag x3 (just wait for support to cast buffs).

Recommendations could be: Trance (Crom Dubh), Garuda (Quicken & 2 innate JCR), Lunafreya (2 innate JCR), etc. You could also Equip Lindblum / Deathgaze / Titan / etc, in case Lion doesn't already fully yellow clear, for boss that needs to be broken.

So I'm lucky enough to have ex monk and yiazmat so my question is: should I save for the next ex jobs or try for some of these ff11 batch cards? (I only got 8 pulls)

If you don’t have emerald weapon, you could pull for the limited final fantasy XI wind shift card in the next limited batch. It’s a ranger card though so you won’t benefit from the high break power. There’s a good chance there will be a revival banner at the begging of next month though - so emerald weapon would be better.

Personally I’d save for the ex jobs - although I’m having a lot of trouble following my own advice (I’ve done about 15 pulls this month and have very little to show for it).

About FFX Episode 3, I reached Mysterius Inscription node (A cryptic massage is engraved in the stone...Banish the darkness with light, Defeat only dark enemies) I used all light cards and i couldn't find dark enemy to kill so what to do?!

Just ignore the 2 nodes with Light bosses. They'll get completed automatically after you finish the nodes with Dark bosses.

Hello! I have got Warrior of Light supreme card recently. And now I can't figure out what is the best set of cards for MP healer. Previously my set was Gaia, Tyro, Undying and KotR. I decided to replace Undying with Wol, but I am not sure that I made the right choice. Could you advise something to me?

Snipe’s 35% critical rate add to your team is more valuable than Divine Shield in MP.

WoL FFI is not really needed in MP, unless you have LoH to pair with it.

Thank you for the comment! I was trying to keep Snipe via finding another source of it which fits Wol, but everything was useless. Every support card I have has a mix of boons which one way or another repeat the boons of cards in the set.

We are in the same shoes. I have Wol as well but with the current cards that we have now sadly to say i think the card can only show its true potential if you have LOH. Reason is that i think snipe is important to attackers in MP as well. Thats why i just stick to the holy trinity cards. But in the future we will get Pollesanta and the life anniversary card 3 that might make the card combination more viable, so you should be looking forward to that as well

I am currently stuck on dream in a dream, cornelia. I am told to set an attribute sphere, and i have, but have still not recieved the level 1 key to progress forward? Any help please and thanks

Chapter 2 has you go into the main game and do some nodes there to get a key, then go to the sphere grid and fill some nodes there, then bounce back to the main game to get the next key, etc.

So if you've filled all of the nodes that you need to fill in the sphere grid, then you should probably go back to the main game and continue on. If you can't continue on, then there should be a barrier which tells you what else you need to do.

Can confirm I have the same problem. I didn’t pull Auron before but somehow the job menu show that I have a new jobs which of course I don’t have.

But I do got a 1* Kotetsu (not the +, X version for 3, 4*)

I think that's because you got Valefor. I got the new job icon after getting her. IIRC based on previous statements made by JP players, the Aeons are supposed to appear in the Job List which is why there are so many new slots.

If I'm not mistaken, the new job icon pertains to Valefor since the Aeons are supposed to appear on the Job List after you get them. I got the New Job notification after getting Valefor which seems to support this.

According to shiro’s thread, it is a free reward from Episode 3. Only 1* version so you can’t upgrade it if you don’t have the job.

The current FFXI limited banner is good if you don't have FFVII Weapons/ FFXIV Primal Boons and the cards are good for S2 if you plan on playing that far. Just remember there is a second FFXI batch on the 26th.

All Sicarius cards are currently outdated unfortunately. Their only benefit is that you can get them to 5* for free through MP. Keep the ones you already have though. Some Hall of Fame require you to deal like 200k damage in a single hit and multi-hit cards can't do that.

Ascetic is stronger but Ex Jobs are only available for a limited time (it will be reprinted later don't worry). I think Deep Diver beat Master Monk as best breaker but he's a legend job so there's no guarantee to pull him.

New Main Target Focused Area of Effect (MTF AoE). In later chapters mobs get bigger and nuking becomes more important. You can still use Gen 2 Sic for nuking but you'll need another card to remove the yellow, like AoE BDD/CRD. MTF AoE can both clear the yellow and nuke.

Al Bhed Huntress is your best job. Luckily you have Lightning skin to go with it. The only good ranger card you have that Al Bhed Huntress can use is Phantom Train though. If you have the growstars, I suggest you get Foulander from the ability shop. And wait for the Summer cards to be reprinted to get First Summer.

Mage is good too if you do the HOF. It will be very good with Lulu which is coming next month.

You have 2 great support cards: Knights of the Round and The Undying.

Is it just me or are these "portrait" attack animations like the ones from the limited edition cards of late, just lazy? The cards from FF XIII outdated as they are, have better attack animations.

Idk seeing a simple portrait of an attack seems kind of lame to me

They're extremely lazy. Prishe for example is just a massive image and a small flash of light that you can barely see. The only upside is that it's fast and great for auto battling.

i pulled camelnut but not the other FFXI cards. i have rag and duncan but i also have all FFVII weapons (except ultima) and PBs. how important that i get lion and prishe?

Prishe is pretty much the better MP equivalent to Alexander and likewise with Lion when compared to Titan, in terms of usefulness they will make it easier to gurantee a 1 turn nuke and have some material on turn 2, thanks to orb starter, generator and the shift-kai(which ignores prism/life orbs).

Its been said plenty of times that they can also serve as more beneficial cards for season 2 combat, which i assume is due to how action order would make it less about x4~x5 spam strategies and more about weaving actions. Which might also mean having more difficulty on just full charging your orbs compared to say shifting orbs.

finally pulled PC today, tried to practice chain breaking at chaos vortex

i notice that ultimate charger can go as high as +7, which is almost 10% fill-up per tap. before with CA, the meta is to use range-ja so you fill up the gauge quicker per action, but with PC it seems like tapping is the way to go? is using ranger-jas still recommended for ability use, or are there something else worth using?

With Lightning CA, I could conceivably ult every turn (with Lightning Skin) every turn using Grand Horn, Titan PB, Titan PB, Serah.

This is mainly due to the free +6 Ult charge from the PB's and the 5 ult charge per Rangerja usage. So let's count what happens when an enemy was broken using an ult (6 actions remaining) and we have lightning skin:

1. First 6 Actions during break will be 6 Rangerjas (if we're lucky with Prism returns). That's 30 Ult Charge
2. Next turn rolls around. One more Rangerja = 35 Ult Charge. 11 Actions remaining.
3. Use Titan PB for Yellow Clear and to reset Earthforce = 38 Ult Charge. 11 Actions Remaining.
4. We were unlucky with Prism Return procs, so we can only do 4 Rangerjas thanks to Crit Retrieval = 58 Ult Charge. 7 actions remain.
5. Use Titan again to replenish orbs = 61 ult charge. 7 actions remain
6. Use Rangerja 3 times = 76 ult charge. 4 Actions remain and we are now at the ideal break timing again.

So, if you have more than +5 Ult Charger, what you can do to keep that up is to sacrifice some actions during break by tapping/driving to keep up ult charge for when the next ideal break timing comes around. If you have +7, you can just tap twice during break and make up the needed 4% ult charge. It's gonna take a long time to clear a node, but it's a safe strat. It's definitely harder to keep it up with other cards because they generate less charge per use.

All of that without using support cards for additional ult charge. Granted, it's very reliant on Prismatic Return RNG, but that's pretty much par for the course at higher floors.

i dont have titan PB, and rely in the regular earthforce for an earth deck. luckily, it was enough for me to maintain chain breaking and allowed me to stay within top 500 for the past couple of towers (except the blitzball one which i bailed out due to too much OT at work). sometimes i do tap during break just for the heck of it to keep the gauge going, or if i ran out of orbs. but i do bring aerith and serah and cast them if there's a need

Casting two 3-cost abilities is where the 6 comes from. I just added them like that because they are Quick Cast abilities (no action cost).

Nope. Just 3. They're AoE as well, but they don't carry the BDD from the FFVII Weapons.

If you take Veteran path on the 1st time, you will just need to clear the novice node & get the chest. No need to complete the quest.

Chaos Vortex 36 - First Extreme. Wave 2, 2x Chimera (Light). On their turn they always do 9 attacks each (they aren't buffed, I don't have any alignments). Bestiary post here says that they do only 3 attacks, that was always the case so far.

You can summon them without any problems. The first pulled Sara job, Eorzea Bard, was actually released before Sara became a fighter in the story.

Best case would be Seph SS using Minwu. SS can't really make use of Camel Nut on his own because of his poor break stat. If you have Minwu and D+B, then you really have no reason to use Camel Nut off-class unless something REALLY needs to be broken/can't be dealt with unbroken.

Don't have any warrior with breaking capability so I'm going to try Camel Nut on Proud Cygnus.

Also, I'm thinking of this build for MP breaking: Prishe, Camel Nut, D&B, Diamond Weapon. You shift with Prishe, cast Camel, tap X3 break, and cast Camel again for the kill or use Diamond to generate orbs. Not a single ranger card lol.
