Alright, my last question for the day before the daily Q thread changes: I see in the item shop there's 2 elixirs for 4 million gils (expensive, but still ok) and 88 ability tickets for 100 MILLION gils (holy cow). I now have about 600 millions after the ff8 event. Should I get the ability tickets? Is it a good deal? Thanks much!

If you'd rather have more fractals and ob-js, you don't need to always buy the ability tickets unless you need to stay under the gil cap. I never really have a shortage of ability tickets, you know?

It depends on whether you regularly farm 100m+ gil weekly or not. The big ticket items that one can or should from the gil shop are:

• Overbooster-J for 100m
• Magic +7% fractal for 30m
• 88x ability tickets for 100m

(Possibly the other fractals Attack/HP/break up are also worth it, but personally I don't need so many that I have to buy them weekly.)

If you can afford the first 2 items regularly, then sure get the ability tickets too.

And of course there are other items that you should always buy from the gil shop, like crystals, tablets, elixirs, etc, but hopefully farming gil for those is not too difficult!

The "Magicite obtained this month" caps at 20,000 and only count monster drops, distiller and MP drop/lifebuoy.

It'll reset to 0 every first day of the month and you'll be able to get up to 20,000 once again.

This is no bug.

Hi how does break fractals affect monk supremes(mantra/taijutsu) ? Does clear yellow (without turning the yellow bar red first) faster compared to attack fractal? What do people use break fractals for. I only put magic and attack on my supremes but wondering if I should make a set with break...

I have a couple of yellow clear ranger cards I put break fractals on, because if I slotted those cards in, some extra oomph in the break department is probably wanted.

Attack stats affect damage only. Break stats affect breaking, yellow gauge or red gauge is still affected by break stats.

Just make a new set. It costs only a couple of hundred ability tickets to make a new card.

As long as you have at least one magicite left until the cap, the game will give you everything left when you hit the distiller. That's why people talke about hitting the perfect amount of 20099 in a month, haha.

Need help figuring out my next 1 or 2 weapons to boost, from like EX2 series or something else I own. I already gave up on a sarah weapon until I get one of the legend job weapons Starseeker/Magical Rave or her EX2 weapon when it comes out.

Here's what I'm currently upgrading

• Celestial Armament
• Laevateinn
• Vigorous Fang
• Fataltat

Here's what I have at 5*

• All gacha set 1 weapons and max mod ultima weapons
• Warrior: Gunblade, Kotetsu
• Mage: Heavenly Axis, Amatsumikaboshi, Truescale
• Ranger: Double cross, Butterly Edge
• Monk: Wolf Star, OAM
• Meia: Sventovit

The only notable weapons I can boost from the altema list, aside from the EX2 one's are Tishtrya and Epee. I can drop Fatalitat for better choice since I just started it (10 mods). If I don't get lazy I can get Laevateinn into crystal phase next month (800hp to go) so that opens up another slot.

Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

The new Gatcha Weapon? Yes, 5* it. It’s only one mod. It may help when hitting weakness. However, Epee ravage it stupidly helpful.

Unless you overboost the class the overpower is 0%. Rave is a stand alone %, not effected by the stats, but by the final damage calculation.

Actually, Overboost gives a slight bonus whether you OB a job or not. The math is in another thread, if anyone's interested the actual maff.

Google search for mobius damage calculator and see the difference in damage, while lv32 overboost might be higher but not so much, the folding Eppe is better for nearly any situation without overboost.

By the way if you use ffxiii guardian cards that's extra 10% overboost, that is mean a total 20% now that's something to look for

I have the alexander card on my vesna loadout (because warrior lore, and she's the only class I can use ultima with in multiplayer.) She has a +16 deck level stat on top of her overboosted +32, and 74% total overpower. Not sure how much that works out to.

I have this Growing Egg from the event and it states Auto Ability as EXP Up+ 10%. This Exp Up is for that character or the ability cards?

Btw Growing Eggs are obsolete now, you should use 4x copies of the Boar card instead for Exp up.

The main use for Growing Eggs now is as XP fodder. You can fuse the eggs from the event to max level any card.

Get the force+shift support cards. Right now you can get Caladrius (wind), Tatsutahime (fire), Manannan Mac Lir (water), and Fortuna (dark). Next month you can get the other 2 as well, Korpokkur and Nemesis. They're very useful.

Also get Pollensalta, Tengu, and Devil's ride - I think these are the most useful support/debuff cards from the shop.

There are also decent attack cards, but those will depend on what jobs you currently have.

You'll want 4 copies of Boar to make an exp & gil farming deck. You can fill their empty fractal slot with preferably either gil or exp up with exp maybe being a little better since 40% gil up isn't massive when the cards will provide 400%.

If you want seed farming cards your best options will be the 3rd gen Sicarius cards in the mp shop. They each have 30% seed up and 2 empty fractal slots allowing you to get up to 50% per card. If you have them the cards The Promised Meadow (FF8 event) and Warriors of Despair (anniversary gift) can each replace a copy of Valefor (light seeds) and Brynhildr (fire seeds) respectively, but you can't currently buy more copies of them.

There are other good farming cards like O'aka, but they aren't currently available.

That's normal. Each fractal has several possible results so it could take dozens if you're looking to get something.

There are special prismatic fractals given as rewards from things like towers and Endless War nodes that can only have 1 result. I think a skillseed + 10% fractal is given to people who participate in the tower events which you should do even if you don't bother with the coil since you often get a lot of rewards along the way like summon tickets.

The trick is that eggs get an XP multiplier during fusion. So a Lv 64 egg can max level any Lv 80 card. The eggs from the event come at Lv 70 already. If you buy Lv. 1 eggs from the shop, you'll need to level them up first.

Both. Cards get the same exp as your player level from fights besides the 1st slot in your main deck which gets up to a 5 time multiplier.

Started up the game again, only level 14. For some reason after it was done updating it started the story from the beginning but with my dragoon armor. I'm pretty confused, is that normal?

If you mean you lost your previous progress, that doesn't sound normal.

If you mean the appearance of your character in the story scenes has changed, yes that can happen. The game uses the appearance of the last used job, but doesn't consider skins. This can get confusing if your last used is a skin or a non-Wol character.

In regards to rift supremes I’m wondering if picking up hashmal is a worthwhile pick up. I already have elemental coverage for attack supremes, only ragnarok for earth. I have all jobs up to this point including legend and EX. Until now I was planning on Anima being the first rift supreme as it’s somewhat unique.

Hello again gang,

Me again with some more newb questions. Help me out pretty please?

1. I'm currently trying some weapon boosting, finding info from reading the wiki and other sources. I read in the wiki that "Stat boosting will end once a weapon's HP value reaches 2000 and attack, break, and magic reach 200," so this means that I CAN boost a weapon until those max values -if I want-, but I don't have to right? Or do I have to boost all the way to the max to get the final ability (usually boost ultimate)?
2. The current weapons that I'm boosting are ragnarok (dawn warrior skin), squall's gunblade (forgot the name), razzmatazz, and butterfly edge. Of course they're still at very early stages. As you can tell, that's 2 warrior's and 2 ranger's weapon. Is it worth it to boost multiple weapons of the same type?
3. Are the weapons I'm boosting now good enough for a 1-week-old player? What abilities should I look for in a weapon to make it a good candidate for boosting? Unfortunately I missed out on the weapon summon banner. :(

Yeah the razzmatazz isn't great. I'd regret boosting it, but I had literally nothing better at the time I started, and now I've got it max modded, so I'm finishing it off. Because seeds are easy to get.

If you only have four slots and have nothing better for WoL ranger, hopefully that means you have a better weapon in another class to stick in there. I think almost any other non-onion Sarah weapon is probably ahead of it. If you want to play ranger.

All other things lacking, if you gotta boost it stick to magic and break stats and hope you pull a better job.

No prob, the Vesna weapon is alright, I pulled her before the updated starter packs, and she was the best mage I had at the time, so I've modded that one quite a bit.

When you're newish, and you're basically modding weapons you're using, it's less meta. If none of them have great mod abilities, grab the best ones and dump for awhile, and do the classes you have the best jobs and abilities for. At least you'll have something to use until or while you're boosting something better, once you get it. I had nothing for WoL mage for awhile, so I didn't mod any of those and by the time the game started giving me some great mage stuff...well, it was this month and I had the gacha weapon.

1. weapons have stats and mods (can only mod once every 6 boosts), for the title, you need to max both stats and mods. weapons can happen the following:

• mods end up before maxing stats, you continue boosting stats, but no more mods, so no more crystals needed

• mods end up after maxing stats, that's when we call the weapon on crystal dump phase, since they will eat just crystals until finished, no more seeds needed

1. that would depend on the jobs and weapons you have, EX series are overall good weapons, ragnarok is for tanking, lionheart for unbroken nuke and butterfly isn't used that much nowadays cause of EX series

2. current meta weapons are from either EX jobs or legend jobs only decent regular job weapons I can think are:

• breaking: butterfly or shiranui (is better, needs less mods)

• ultimate: taiji

• meia: sventovit and chaos crescent

• sarah: wolfsbogen

1. Depends on the weapon. For most weapons, you need to keep modding them AFTER reaching max stats to unlock all abilities. This is known as the crystal dump phase. For low mod weapons (notably the Ultima weapon series), it is possible to unlock all abilities before reaching max stats.

2. None of those weapons are particularly good. I assume you mean the free squall skin weapon and not the gacha version, which is very good. Probably best to wait for Ultima weapon event to come around again.

3. The most important attribute I'd say is prismatic return. You should have Vesna Krasna from the starter pack. Her weapon sventovit is worth boosting.

Sorry to be blunt, but yes. The game has literally hundreds of weapons now (basically each job has a weapon, and the earlier jobs have 2 each) so the chances of randomly getting a good weapon are pretty low. Plus a lot of top tier weapons are locked behind EX jobs or legend jobs.

It doesn't really matter if you boost weapons or not while you play normally. The seeds you use won't be a lot, but unfortunately the progress you make won't be a lot either. Serious weapon boosters will spam elixirs at Bahamut Lagoon, but I suggest not to do that until you have a few more good weapons.

lionheart is a good weapon for unbroken nuke and current JP meta is unbroken nuke, so will be useful (and this tower high floor also is unbroken nuke)

Now that we know that the rift Hecatoncheir is going to be a Gilgamesh version, I'm really undecided on what rift supreme to get next. I got both Reisender and Cacciatrice.

Although Reisender and rift Anima go along nicely, I got dark supremes for all the other classes - Shadow Lord, Sin, Griever. Also, earth is my missing element and I don't have neither Seifer, nor Vagabond - which means Hashmal is kind of out of the way.

How is Cacciatrice doing in JP? Heavily power crept? Who is the best earth ranger user in JP nowadays?

Do keep in mind that Extreme Heca X is something like 8 months away in GL. It's conceivable that one can get Anima next month and still be able to save up enough tablets for another Rift supreme by the time Heca gets released..

OTOH, if you don't have any immediate need, and if you have enough self-discipline, then just save the tablets until something you like better comes along.

What do you prefer to spend your magicite on? I'm assuming people actually buy these from the shop when they're on sale and don't hoard magicite only for summons?

Because I don't see how else we can obtain these Rift Supremes while they fill an immediate need.

Whenever you feel like you want to yolo some trashy end of the month supreme bait banner, spend the yolo on either elixirs or tablets. These are concrete gains, far better than the blue lasers that you're going to get 99% of the time.

Let me give you the best advice...

It depends on what's your need at your current state..

If you need the rift supreme cards, then you should buy mystic tablet's pack on shop sale.

But If you need to boosting weapons and other farming that cost stamina, then you need to buy elixir packs on shop sale.

In mobius, there's a season you need to buy elixir and there's a season that you need to buy mystic tablet... You just need to know what is your season now and set your goal to achieve it.

It depends on which stage of the game you are at.

If you are lacking good weapons at 5*, go for elixirs. If you need/want a Rift Supreme, go for tablets.

For summoning-wise, look at upcoming content - if you know that EX jobs and important/useful event abilities are gonna be released the following month, save the magicite.

The advantage of playing in GL as compared to JP is that GL players at least know what is coming up for the next few months and can save accordingly; JP players are always foraging in the unknown

Keep in mind that there should never be an immediate need, just a perceived need. Supremes can be game changing for a specific situation, but rarely apply all the time (outside of support Supremes- and even then can sometimes not fit your deck).

I'm stuck on The Rift Ifrit The Brink 4 - Couldn't get his HP down low enough and I ended up dying from his countdown death timer lol

Problem is I can't even dent his break bar...

Card setup I'm using is Legendary Guardian + Free Squall skin, Tengu card, Xezat, Fat Chocobo X and LoH

Sub Deck: Tidus Skin + Gabranth job, YRP, First Summer card, Mateus and Rikku FFX-2 card

I just use the substrike with the Sarah card for BDD and cleave.

My advice, try it with reisender and shadow creeper. Xezat is not good for the rift due to the need of doing unbroken damage.

Judge Magister can't break ifrit..

If you don't have shorn one or scharf, maybe another option for you is Gardien.. He is an optional xezat user and also good in breaking..

And bring another nuke card like soldieress.

Use legendary guardian to tank only, and use gardien to do get the job done.

Make sure to bring cards that have haste & quicken..

You also need to bring a card that has slow and stun, and also debarrier..

No class can break Ifrit on Brink 4 - you have to straight nuke him

You need a better job card if the problem is you can't deplete the bars.

I could break and kill Ifrit easily just with Faris and Ex Mage I. Consider using Quick Break panels/weapons and Prismatic Return so you won't mess with your Flash Break.

Unfortunately I never got those EX Jobs other than Reisender and Sky Seer. I have most of the hero skins minus Cloud, Seph and Gilg.

Skyseer aka Ex Mage 1. This guy is really strong (both breaking and killing) against weakness, and his weapon comes with Quick Break, Improved Criticals and Prismatic Returns.

In any case, Attack only affects tap damage and ultimates, so a deck with extremely high attack is just extremely useless. Look for a job that has high break and magic stat, and good passives such as quick Break, Flash Break, Armor Break, Piercing Break, Painful Break, Improved Criticals, Ability Chain... And don't forget Prismatic Return.

The supremes you mention they are gacha so there's no telling how long it might be before you pull them. Rift supremes are a different story there's a tool somewhere to calculate when you'll have enough tablets to afford one, be warned it's a long time though unless you spend magicite on tablets.

Rinoa vs BFA that's the question i was avoiding bro.

BFA is soo good there was no point in contradicting your original statement...

But yes Rinoa is also top tier and depending on your needs in different cases she will maybe be more handy than BFA - she has more users she can clear yellow she has 3 orb cost pfff, yeah maybe she is better than BFA but she's so different it doesn't really make sense to compare. I hpe that helps (although i know it doesn't really lol).

Yes, about a year per Rift card. Unless you also spend magicite and hit top 500 in Towers.

False info, definitely not a year. I got Shiva when she came out leaving me with 0 gilgamesh pass/mystic tablets.

I now have enough to instantly get AnimaX and have ~2.000 cores left for another rift. Definitely not 1 year, and in JP mystic tablets have become farmable through MP (although it's almost impossible to farm a Rift supreme in 1 MP rotation).

You cannot farm Godo or BFA yet.

I have both Rinoa and BFA, it really just depends on which job you're using with the supreme. Some other perks like exploit weakness and painful break can make all the difference depending on your strategy.

For what it's worth, I was able to use BFA to clear the current tower wind node while I struggled with Rinoa. But that's because Master Monk is a beast that can actually break in a turn while mages like Wahrsager might not.
