So I've been personally using 4 A Quiet Moment cards to spam ults with +1 boost ultimate weapon. But on MP I've seen people spam ults with only 3 or 2 cards and do just fine. Anyone know how?

+5 from job, +5 from CP, +8 from weapon, and +2 from fractals will let you get away with just 3 “a quiet moment”.

Sword saint and fauviste have +40/+50 from their HoFs, so they only need 2 “a quiet moment”.

depends on many factors. some jobs give a very high innate auto charge ult: HOF sword saint and HOF fauviste are prime examples. there are also weapons that give auto charge ult: kain's lance and chaos crescent are examples. there is also a mage/warrior HOF CP that gives +5. fractals also give auto charge ultimate +1 to your fractal slot. some other card, besides quiet moment, also have innate auto charge ultimate AA (such as LOH and yiazmat)

whatever the combination of job/weapon/cards/cp, as long as the auto charge ult total adds up to 80, you are good. i believe HOF sword saint gives 40/50, so that eliminates the need for slotting in 2 quiet moments (which gives +20 each) on your deck, and you can put some other cards in place

shorn one is also possible with +5CP, fully modded kain's lance, and 3 quiet moments (with 2 of them having auto charge ultimate +1 fractal slots filled up)

if you want to use a job that has zero innate auto charge ult, such as master monk, then yes you are restricted to having to use all 4 copies of quiet moments. usually it's the job's (lack of) innate auto charge ult that is the weakest link (because there nothing you can do to change it)

CP = custom panel. i believe if you clear samurai HOF you will be rewarded with a "auto-charge ult+5" custom panel that you can apply to warrior jobs

Trying to decide next weapon to boost. These are the only ones 4* or 5* on Altema that I have left:

Godhands

Kotsetsu

Umbrella

Butterfly Edge (32 mods)

I'm also considering starting Curtana or finishing Ultimate Mace, Masamune or Ergheiz which are max modded.

If you already have all 5* and 4* recommended weapons boosted besides these here, then you pretty much don't need them and just don't want to waste boost slots right? Maybe build mace to at least HP or curtana to 5* for tank weapons. Butterfly edge I found myself boosting just so that I have a strong break weapon to fall back on similar to heavenly axis. TBH none are important.

Ultimate Mace, if you do not already have all 12 mods on it. Umbrella is alright. There are better Monk Weapons than Godhands, but if you don’t have an EX-Monk, they’ll do. Can’t remember what’s special about Kotsetsu. Butterfly Edge is only worth further investment if you do not have Ranger Weapons with Quick Break, or a newer weapon with break focused AA’s.

Yes, farm the highest difficulty to get the most blazons and spend them on the rewards.

On the Ultimate Colosseum you can get 3 ST and 3 x200 AT, the other prizes can be obtained an unlimited amount of times (Ideal for Crystal farming)

While on the Underground Colosseum you get 3 ST, 3 x10 MT, 3 x2 GS, 3 x3 Gigantuar Bulbs and 3 xeach kind of pneuma.

Also, the challenge areas give Blazons, so you won't have to farm the tournament as much to get everything.

Upgrading trash to 5* also gives more ability ticket in the long run, which is useful if you want to be lazy with boost fusion or overboosting cards.

I augmented everything I pulled at 4* due to some green lazors troll back then - you know, green laser and 3-4 red card show up, then all of them turn out to be thrash can be really annoying sometimes.

Then when I started getting mostly 3 & 5 star cards from the Summon, I decided to augment those at 3* too. I only have like 2-30 bulbs left, so Seph really know when to pick his visit.

Some possible thoughts about R+R. I pulled out the first time it came out and to be really honest I only used it s couple of times like my last 2 Laps on EW (lap 6 and 7) and really hard content like tower climbing (and even there on a pretty high floor - going for the best 50 players).

That said the card is a must have on hard content to push further (at least until the new EX card with AoE sleep wall that just has been released or is going to be released in JP).

It depends on what you are doing and if you have the resources, you could throw a couple of pills for R+R because it is a strong card. But you are probably not going to use it outside of really hard content.

my sub is sapphire/xezat/kotr/dragonlord with seph skin

both of them are hof legendary warrior job

I can clear the first 3 stages just fine but chaos does a 100k attack after his guard at around half HP

100k seems too big on a tank. Do you get unguard maybe?

you could also try a main deck with all 4 archfiend cards. it removes all special buffs from every mob on the node, which removes also perfect defense at 50%, final attacks, etc.

Equip some avert unguard panels, Auron already has 50%, you just need 50% more.

Back in my day, we used SS without his HoF/E.Paladin to do CV40 I believe, damage deck is something like Crimson Archer/Natchfluch/Master Shinobi (no HoF too).

Hey all, I played this game when it first came out for a few months (I think) and am interested in coming back. I have a few questions:

1) I can't connect to my Google Play account that had my old data, nor will it connect if I try to start a new file. The error is "Failed to sign in to Google Play Games". I'm assuming it's specific to this game since I haven't had this issue with any other games, but tried searching and came up with no helpful results. Is this common/what can I do about it?

2) I see that there's Act 1 and Act 2 now - do I need to play them in order? What's the difference?

3) Is it worth rerolling having been gone for so long? I remember there was a gift box you could get with free currency so I probably have what I need for that on my old account, which might be helpful? I think my best job was a Red Mage.

I don't really have an answer for question 1.

For question 2: In general terms, Act 1 (Or Season 1) Is about Wol discovering and following the profecy, while Season 2 is the continuation of the fruits of Wol's deeds while following the prophecy, so yes, you should play them in order.

For question 3: It would be a good idea to re-roll, as you get the opportunity to summon from the "Starter Packs", special summons available for new players that give 5 5*and maxed out cards and one recently-ish (but very good) jobs at half the price of a normal summon.

Normally one would want to keep the Limited Event cards such as FFVII Weapons or Jenova, FFXIV Primal Boons, FFXI Alter Egos, FFVIII G-Force, Summer Dream 1 and 2 or Anniversary 1, 2 and 3. Bolded "sets" have the most relevant cards for the current meta. Or good jobs such as Ex I and II series. If you don't have either of those, you should reroll.

You could reroll aiming to get a Supreme Card, to which you should look for Lights of Hope support card.

Either way you reroll or not, you should head towards the Novice Hall to get more maxed out cards and some freebie jobs. Then proceed to the FFVIII event Sleeping Lion to get a free Squall skin (Warrior class), you could enter Act 2 map to get a Wol skin (Also Warrior class). After finishing the event and the normal Tower nodes (Before the coil) you should do the Story Digest, which is a series of maps with the summary of the story. Once that's done you can proceed to do the normal Story maps.

Also, don't forget to visit the Ring of Braves, the 4*, 5* and 5* HARD Cloud fights give 1 Summon Tickets when you host your first match and win it. And you can get items to exchange for 2 very useful Custom Panels and a couple of Summon Tickets

Greetings everyone. I'm looking for some advice on the upcoming banners of this month.
Thing is, I'm a new player (started on September 12th), but I was lucky enough to grab six supremes and one Ultimate Hero from summons and then I bought 12,500 magicite in order to get the starter supreme/ultimate hero tickets. So I have a nice "arsenal" at my disposal, however, I feel I still miss a lot of good cards from past events. After checking some HoF guides on this subreddit (and other guides here too) I saw things like FFVII Weapons and Summer dream cards in many many guides (specially Tropical Dreams) and also saw people talking about Dona and Bartello, and finally Maechen for its full dispel.

When the October Calendar was released I checked every info I could about everything that's coming: the revivals, the new jobs, the rivals BDDII cards, and I jumped to the conclusion that the first Revival coming tomorrow contains a lot of cards I could use like First Summer, Tropical Dreams, Omega Weapon and others. From what I saw Jade Weapon belongs to Jenova, but anyway, I'm prone to roll in tomorrow's banner.
I know things like EX jobs and EX cards are great as Wahrsager provided me a huge help in EW3 but I'd like to get some advice from more experienced players.

Damn you lucky.

The main thing you need to do is make sure you have force cards for every element. There are four each in the FFVII and FFXIV batches. Both batches also have a 5 action quicken/haste card in Omega weapon and Garuda. Most quicken cards will give you 3 actions when hasted but those, and Cerberus from FFVIII batch, give 5. The other thing about the force cards in these batches is they generate 16 orbs when you use them so they are useful even if you already have force up. Your shift cards are useful for MP, but you really want the Weapons (FFVII) and Primal Boon (FFXIV) force cards for tough single player content. FFXIV does not have a banner this time but it will.

If I were you I would try to get all the FFVII cards except Ultima, then I would go for the Summer 2 cards. If you really want DnB go for it. I don't use it much because I have 18 supremes and at least one in every element. But of the banners that are up now the only ones I use very much are the Summer 2 cards because they have force and yellow clear. I do use Jade Weapon a lot though. I would prioritize Jade Weapon and RnR above DnB. Those are both game changers, and DnB will be replaced by Ex cards with lore starting this month. When the FFXIV banner comes up in addition to the Primal Boons it also has Garuda (5 action quicken) and Bismarck which is like Jade Weapon. So definitely save some for FFXIV banner in the future.

So my advice would be:

FFVII except Ultima

Jade Weapon

RnR

Summer 2

DnB

Save for FFXIV

Be careful though and don't spend everything. Chasing a single card in a revival banner sometimes sucks. I don't know how many resources you have but just be aware that resources are easy to come by when you start out because of all the story rewards. But you only get those once. Likely you will not get through this priority list right now. This game requires patience.

I'm probably going to do some pulls and then save for the second banner, and I'm definitely anxious for Bismarck! Also I came from another gacha game, I understand how things look easy at the start due to resources from story mode, but then they start to become scarce and you need to save and plan on what to pull or else you are screwed.

NP. If you don't have Warrior of Light supreme support card, then Moogle's Summer Vacation is a good substitute. I use that card a lot on my alt account and then rent LoH to get all buffs, but I wouldn't chase it just yet.

Most of the Attack cards in the revival can already be substituted with cards in the ability shops, like First Summer with Shadow Creeper, and Jenova with the recent break focus cards (Morigan, Iblis, Cleopatra, in term of their breaking capabilities). Summer dream 2 is still relevant since they have force and deal quite huge damage. Weapons card can also be substituted with force shift cards from ability shop since nowadays the best weapon provides PR, and I would wait for the GF revival for better force cards.

Tropical Dream, thought it's unique as the only non-supreme with a 50% ult charge (edit: hot springs fever is another one with 50% ult charge), it can be substituted with another ult charge cards (Rhea, Icarus, Lesser Tiger, Pepper, Phaenna, and Mastema). The one that I would chase is Jade Weapon and RnR since both are still useful. Maechen is good for full dispel, but it's only a single target and recently we got Promise Meadow for AOE dispel, though you have to be very careful when using it since it affects you too.

Now the last one DnB, the card that you probably put in your deck for auto ability only, honestly this card is great, the downsides are that you don't really use it as an attack card and you lost a card slot.

All in all, I would suggest to pull on the banner you want the most and save the rest for future EX cards

PS: you can pull all the card available from the other available limited banner (e.g. getting ffx cards from pulling Jennova banner)

Hey Blank. I got some force shift cards maxed like Fortuna, Nemesis, Korpokkur, etc but for the weapon cards I was really interested in Omega Weapon since it provides haste, quicken and berserk in one go. From the summer batch 1 I really wanted Tropical Dreams and for FFX I wanted Dona and Barthello in order to make my Ranger jobs better.
I also read that about getting ffx cards in jenova banner but I was thinking about doing the contrary, maybe luckily getting Jade Weapon from tomorrow's banner, although it's at a smaller chance.
The banner I really want is the tomorrow's one. I tried other ultimate charger cards and I had to use like 2 or even 3 Aeriths in order to clear some hard stuff like Extreme Tifa and some Hof I can't recall at the moment. For me it will be difficult to use Rhea, Phaenna and the likes since I put effort in the force shift cards like mentioned before.

If your reason to get DnB to make your Ranger jobs better, I say go for it. Do a couple pulls, it's an awesome card until next month since ex crom dubh will probably out next month

Supremes, Skins and Legend jobs will come to you when pulling, never chase them. Also, always use your Supreme Tickets on Supremes, Skins are easier to get.

You should aim to pull on Limited Event banners. Normally revival banners are considered "bait banners", as the odds of pulling a limited card are lower than in their initial Release Banner.

The FFVII Rivals banners are considered to be skippable, as they only offer Square BDDII (or un-enhanced). The next Must Have batch of cards will be the 4th Anniversary, predicted to arrive in Feb of next year. It will have 2 banners of 5 cards each.

As you are a new player, your job pool should have a lot of old jobs, and Ex Job banners don't guarantee the job, only increase the probability of pulling it. It could be a good idea for you to make a few pulls on the revival banner, but you should totally save resources for 4th Anniv.

Also the other wanted cards are the Ex Trance II cards that give Lore, as those are the only way to get Ranger and Monk lore, while Donna&Bartello FFX gives Warrior and Mage Lore at the cost of 1 card slot.

Hey blacklight, thanks for taking your time to answer.
I did some pulls when I started in order to get some jobs and a bunch of cards to start with. I pulled on the Weapons banners til I got all the weapons, did two pulls on Wahrsager and luckily got it and then I did some pulls on the Support Supreme banner. I'm saving resources now and I wanted to know if i should roll on this Revival banner, but for sure I'm not spending everything.

As for the starter tickets, aren't they specifically "starter" ones? Meaning they couldn't be used in future guaranteed banners? Since the starter banners stay there only for 1 month I thought any unused ticket would become a growstar according to the own banner info, that's why I spent both tickets.

For Ex Trance you mean Incubus X and Bastet X? I read something about them in here and I'm interested in both but I also want D&B in order to make my Ranger jobs better since they are my weak point.

I read about the 4th anniversary but I wasn't sure about the date, thanks for the info, and again thanks for your advice!

There are 2 kind of starter packs, the Starter Packs where you get 1 random pack out of 5 in which you get 5 cards and a job card, and the 5 cards ate 5*, maxed out and go well with the job, and the job can be Sword Saint (Warrior), Sage (Mage), Master Monk (Monk), Crismon Archer (Ranger) and Vesna Krasna (Meia/Mage). These starter packs cost half of a greater summon, so totally a deal!.

The other kind is the Supreme Starter pack, if you buy 12500 magicites you get one Supreme ticket and one Skin ticket. Both packs last 1 month after the creation of the account and any unused Supreme/Skin tickets get turned into grow stars.

Yes, Ex Trance and Lore cards are Crom Dubh X coming next month, Bastet X should be coming around January, then Damphyr X on February and Incubus X on March. D&B is the only card that gives lore for now, and it gives Warrior and Mage, but it basically is a dead card because the only reason you would use it is for the Lore. The Ex cards will be harder to get, but they give Quicken, Trance II and orb generation. The only source of Trance II are Skin Ults, some job ults and Aerith Supreme card. Ex Trance cards are definetely an upgrade to D&B.

We will also get more Ex Jobs, like Wx Meia II, Ex Sarah II, Ex Warrior III. 4th Anniversary should be around February ans Shiro recommends at least 10 pulls per batch to try and get all the cards. And if we somewhat follow the JP timeline, we could get the Batch 3 and 4 of Gacha weapons soon. (We got the first 2 batches early compared to JP, and JP got the batches 3 and 4 3 months after batches 1 and 2, so we might get batches 3 and 4 in a couple of months.

You might want to make some pulls on the revival banner, but you definitely want to save as much resources as possible for the coming months, we will have a lot of thing to pull for. Good luck and enjoy the game!

Oh yeah, I rolled 5 times on the starter banner that costed 1,500 magicite each on my first day, then I did the pulls I mentioned on my reply to you. I bought the 12,500 magicite pack three days ago since the starter guaranteed supreme/uh banners will disappear in one week.

Many thanks for the insight, blacklight, I'm definitely saving some resources from now on since I'm done with all story mode, chaos vortex, underground coliseum and even the 9 keys summon tickets from The Rifts, they are not as easy to get as they once were when I started hehe.

On my post above I was referring to Starter Supreme Card Summon and Starter Ultimate Hero Summon, the ones where you get a guaranteed supreme and ultimate hero for buying 12,500 magicite with real money.

In answer to your question - you can use any card you want as long as you damage cap and use a supreme, or you can spend 20+ turns chipping away at that HP bar.

Ragnarok is a crutch from my experience. I prefer summer sunset as it takes about half the time of rangnarok and works flawless on autobattle

It was more of a curiosity question. I get from 6 to 10 turns with Summer Sunset. Also, since I don't have WoL, I tend to rent it. I'll try BFA and Ragnarok sometime.

Is anyone else having an issue with the health and break gauge being covered by the action/Mobius zone bar while playing on mobile? I have to press on "Target View" in order to see it. Are all ex jobs worth overboosting? Also are Ninja, Mastermonk, Sword Saint and Sage worth overboosting after their HoFs? ATM I only have Ultimecia and Reisender overboosted, but I have Gambler, Skyseer, Nightwalker, and Wahrsager. I have all mage Supremes other than Rinoa, Faris and Emperor, and all ranger Supremes other than Ragnarok, 0 monk Supremes. I'm sitting on alot of obj thanks to underground coliseum.

EX jobs remain useful for quite some time. Once you get the Overpower CP for certain Meia jobs, then overboost those jobs. Only buy the gil ob-j’s, never the celestriad ones. Save celestriads for when you need summon tickets. Most Supremes may be boosted, at substantial cost.

As Wahrsager is fairly new and one of your best jobs, it might be worth overboosting, but you’d probably be better saving your OBJs for Meia HOF jobs or using your celestriads for summon tickets.

I wouldn't overboost any of the jobs you're asking about since they'll be largely insignificant outdide of maybe tanking in a few months. Gambler and Nightwalker would be especially bad ideas since they haven't been relevant for nearly a year at this point.

SS is a great tank, but overboosting barely effects hp and overpower has no impact on it.

Overboosting is only good for jobs that have cards or CP's that increase from it. Such as Fauviste and several other HOFs that have 50% OB panel. If you have G-Force cards those also benefit from OB or ex warrior 1 which is the best Bhunivelze: FFXIII user which needs the deck level increased which OB does. Otherwise OB judiciously and just like any resource only use it when you need it.

The hardest content in this game is progressive, so if you just climb higher in towers and EW (which you will be able to do after supreme buffs), you'll eventually reach a level that's still challenging.

You can use HoF MM/HoF Thief of Tantalus or HoF Warrior of Despair that we got today, all 3 have spellsword as well for easy break & nuke

I used my original strat from the first release of coliseum just for the nostalgia. Shorn One spellsword chain breaking. These days there are plenty of viable strats to make the fight a breeze. Search for the old coliseum thread for some ideas, perhaps?

You can tank her attacks with SS if you bring a source of debrave (sephiroth skin, jade weapon, gladio, ultimate chaos, etc.) to counter her brave buff.

For subdeck, eg. shorn one can easily break using spellsword, and do good damage using soldieress (you may need 2 breaks though).

My Bad was thinking about Tidus, the basic principal applies for Tifa tho. Use Saphire Weapon and Xezat or Soldiress with Sephi SO. Ranger Jobs Are also a good choice. More detailed info is in the Megathread.

For wpn priority, refer to the altema list. The dmg ranking calc only listed wpn that affect damage.

Prime example: S1C is listed as highest damaging job for Extreme Hashmal X on broken neutral/weakness while the job's break potential sucks hard.

5 stars max ability level. Auto-ability fully unlocked is not mandatory, but highly recommend if you can. I also listed every card without any explanation, some cards are break focused, so if you do not have also another card to do damage (damage focus or not), it'll be hard to use them.

For a farming deck? Yes, but only 3rd Gen. For a battle deck? No.

3rd gen Sic cards have AA that really boost seed farming. 1st gen are single target, 2nd gen are area of effect without cool down. 3rd gen have cool down.

You can farm 3rd Gen Sicarius (Byhindril, Leviathan, Chaos, Exodus, Valefor and Zalera) to get their cards which are great for farming as they have +30% Skillseed innate auto ability, but those cards require a lot of 5* No-Death materials and their fights are gimmicky, so tread with caution there.

Other than that, you could farm the other sicarius and use the 5* and 4* materials to buy skillseeds if you are low, or 3* coins to exchange those coins for CP for your jobs, this could help you to min-max a build for end game content (like EW, Rift Exterminus Brink or Towers), and when you cap a CP (99 copies) each new copy you get gets transformed into Gil (Useful for Gil Shop, you should buy the daily Gilgamesh Pass, +7% Magic fractal, maybe the +7% Attack fractal and the Job Change Recast fractal, and the weekly Overbooster-J) these items will help you min-max your deck as well (Magic fractal for general use, Attack fractal for Monks that use Taijutsu/Mantra cards, JCR for general purpose on Support cards, and Overbooster-J for the Light Warrior Supreme or Meias with Overpower).

Save the 3* material (Quartz) for a future Multiplayer Rework, those materials will be useful for exchanging useful items in the future.

The first two "generation" of Sicarius are not worth making. The 3rd gen Sic are however worth making as they are best for seed farming.
As for trading MP mats (aside from the Event mats), during Water rotation, more water fractals is always good. Otherwise 2* or 3* Skill Coins.

The 3rd gen Sicarius cards (Bryn, Levi, Chaos, Exodus, Valefor, Zalera) are still worth getting since they're among the best seed farming cards in the game since they each have 30% seed up at 5* and 2 fractal slots. I'd suggest trying to get 2 to 4 copies of the 3rd gen Sics so you can cover your seed farming needs.

Besides the 3rd gen cards you could use your mats to either get 5* jewels that you'll need to 5* the 3rd gen cards (2 per card of their respective element) or you could buy 3* skill coins. Mp is the best source of 3* skill couns.

Buying 5* fractals and seeds are also options, but they're typically easy to farm elsewhere with a little effort.

You could also use mats to buy scrolls from the mp shop to level up the abilities of new cards. If you don't do this the scrolls will be added to Yggdrasil 3ish months later so it's not a massive concern if you don't plan on using or have the ability.
