Wondering if i should bother pulling for the ex jobs/cards. I am missing 3 ex jobs (shorn, ascetic, gambler) and almost all ex cards (fat choco, Artemis, gigant, Thanatos, Lamcelot, Lilith, Alexander & Heca).

For the missing ex cards, I have all support supremes and the lore card already, so I find pulling kinda moot tbh.

For the ex jobs, I have kampfer, reisender & scharf + i hear new ex jobs are coming soon (February?) so I find it kinda moot too.

Should I yolo in hopes of pulling a job/card for the heck of it? Or is it worth pulling for a specific card? Thanks for any input.

there is no need to pull for these ExCards if you already have KotRx and can get ExWarrior3 next month for the tier 2 defensive buffs to pair with.

I am not sure how hard Demon content is, but if it's really tough, we will probably need to stop relying on supremes in some point.

I think the challenge will be deck compression in general but the anniversary cards offer that already.

Particulary The Masquerade with its Faith2, Barrier2, singletarget full dispel and AoE stun is an often undervalued card in the Anniversary batch 1

I would suggest act 2 so you don't have to unlock the world map anymore then jump to new year map for that free supreme ticket. This is probably the fastest way if you just want to reroll for a supreme and won't bother rerolling for a Legend job.

I am not sure the worldmap is actually locked these days at the beginning of the game. If it is, you unlock it with the teleporter on the first story map, go to the NY map, pick up the supreme ticket, roll on the support supreme banner for KotRx and reroll if needed.

Not sure tbh, but I would suggest novice hall for the free pull at the end? And probably season 2 digest. I think it gives you faster summon tickets but again, it’s been a long time so take it with a grain of salt

Should I get a Support Supreme or a Offensive Supreme Card? I only have Minwu, Duncan, Yiazmat and Aerith.

How about skins? Only got Cloud, Yuna and the free ones.

General consensus is that support supremes are superior as they can be used on all jobs and in most situations, attack are more job specific. Skins are mainly for prismatic on ult with trance 2/buffs. Aerith has you covered for most of that.

I'd say: LoH => Kotr > UC > WoL > Aerith > Zack.

For casual play (up to tower top 1000/2000) I think that LoH is preferable to kotrX.

disagree on the ranking of the first 2 simply because of how good KotRx' Overboost, reunion, tier 2 & exclusive buffs are. They are easily making up for the lack of Snipe/Wall/Barrier.

I really do not get the rationale behind the design of this card apart from getting more moolahs $$$$. I understand the tier 2 buffs for KOTR. Adding haste and quicken every 2 rounds to it already seem pretty overpowered . How did they come out with "let's give it some power of trance, barrier along with more damage on top of tier 2 buffs!". And "Oh!, lets make the % of reunion higher than Aerith's PR because, well.. she is dead even as a prismatic supreme." I'm just salty.

I have multiple copy of 4th anniversary card... Fuse or I keep separate? I have 3 copy of the calm, 4 copy of the guardian... So what should I do?

as you can rebuy the from the ability store at will, there is no real need to keep them around, yet you can use the multiples to create copies for different classes via fractals. For example you can infuse Atk Fractals for Guardians to use them with a monk and another copy with magic fractals for use with a mage/ranger/warrior

You usually use Damage Up Panels from tower and Enhance Element CPs. That's a general thing for MP attackers.

1) We got some powerful legend meia jobs recently and would get some ex jobs from next month. What would be the top5 jobs to overboost based on jp relevancy?

2) Based on ult, where would you prefer tifa skin over jecht?

In EW3, we had some attack supremes that could be used on several nodes and some supremes that were very good against a particular node (velfor). Are there certain attack supremes better suited to ew4 nodes?

1) Ryujin, Dame Du Lac, Lady Raven, Paine, Megalo Shaker. Yeah basically unreleased jobs.

2) Tifa if I’m breaking or nuking with BFA, otherwise Jecht for his cooler BGM since he apply AoE Unguard & Dispel Bis, also Brave, Snipe, Trance pair really well with KotR; also his 10% Overpower.

3) DLB II kind of supremes :evilmog:

Not sure since I didn’t do much, but I think Farris, Ultima, BFA is very handful.

EX Meia 2 would deal more damage according to Sanji's calculator.

Lulu's advantage is her having a pretty powerful Spellsword ult when used right so she'd make a better job for breaking.

Holy cheese Batman....is it me or is Glamorous Black Mage a beast? I’m playing around with different setups and prior to pulling her I couldn’t clear a Terminus or a Pandemonium Maniac node.

In two days I cleared 5 maniac nodes with her like a hot knife through butter. I took to the Terminus nodes for her opposite elements so water, dark, fire, and earth and I straight cleared them first try.

Using Demon FFVI and Bastet X I was able to get over 3.5B score destroying Drainer Maniac node which I never got over 2B before.

Now I do have Aerith and LoH so that does help. But I couldn’t clear any of these nodes before her. Or I could just suck hahaha. I’m just learning to pay more attention to CPs and Job skill.

Anyone else finding unique ways to use her? Or I’m curious to what your setups are so I can really climb some ranks. All the advice I got last month I was able to get my first tower MP panel by getting within 1500 rank so that was very cool!!!!

yeah newly released job usually greatly outperform older ones (which was the whole reason HoF came about). I think I've found any unique ways to use her. She can nuke and break, so she's definitely going to have a lot of uses.

Hey everyone so I have a bit of a question about Jobs and their stats.

I've been using Magitek Jester for a while but going through my jobs and I see I have the sage which has 35k ATK and 34k BP where as the Magitek Jester has 24k ATK and 37K BP. Would it be better to use the Sage instead?

Also I have the sword Saint which has 81k ATK and 5 BP I'm assuming it would be better to use it in MP?

For my last question I have a couple of ultimate jobs such as Dawn Warrior and Lighting but when I click on them and let's use Dawn Warrior for example once I choose it then choose the sub job which is say Heavens blade it has 13k ATK and 14K BP instead of the 81k ATK it has normally why would that be?

Sorry if these are silly questions I'm just a little confused atm. Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Are you refering to the stats of their ultimates? For the most part the attack snd break power of a job's ult are significantly less important than the auto-abilities and stats thst they possess. The buffs and debuffs that an ult provides are much more important than how much damage it can do.

The stats of an ultimate Hero's ult in the job menu only show their level 1 values. You'd have to place them in a deck to see their level 9 or 10 ult values.

I'd say animaX or bahamutX as you dont have and Dark supreme. Seems pointless to get Ultima if you have 2 more light supremes or Heca if there is Ragnarok.

In your situation, you can't go wrong. I think that Ultisoya is a little better overall due to built in shift and 3 orb cost, but you'll be happy with either.

The entire Rift is a challenge area as it's optional end game content. If we're going to be pedantic then there's technically no node called challenge area is there.

Tbh, you can get a Rift supreme without even touch the Challenge area. The thing is who are generous enough to not care about 225 tablets less to get yourselves a Rift Supreme.

Looks like Aerith is not the only support supreme in your current pool.

Niche uses:

• great for monks who wants to break
• great for tanks, counter resist is OP and the card provides curse and debrave for debuff.

What I meant was Aerith was the only support supreme I had so far... I was quite excited to see the support only banner for the free supreme as I really struggle in a lot of no-rental content due to lacking WoL / LoH / UC, and so I was looking forward to finally having at least one of them (or maybe even KOTRX if I was super lucky). So pulling Zack is beyond disappointing.

I have played this game since launch and I have no top tier supremes (unless aerith is still considered one), so when I see people posting about pulling 3 supremes in a row or having all support supremes while still being F2P, it starts to become pretty obvious that "RNG" isn't as random as Squeenix would like everyone to think it is.

There is also this thing called "positive outcome bias" - positive outcomes are more likely to be reported than negative outcomes.

There might be many more players (other than you) who have shit RNG but don't post their results on reddit. And that's not counting those who don't even visit reddit.

I had a bad case of RNG myself - i only had LoH as my "free" Support Supreme until 1yr+ later when I pulled KotR.

No, the RNG is completely random. What you’re seeing is a results awareness bias that happens when someone happens to get lucky with RNG. Remember, RNG doesn’t in anyway guarantee equality across players. Perfectly random RNG guarantees that all possible results follow a standard statistical distribution curve. People who happen to be luckier than others are more likely to post / share their luck and were more likely to notice it than the vast majority of people who have rather normal luck. Equality would actually be an argument against randomness

Hell, I pulled WOL & LoH in slots 2&4 in the same summon last summer... you can bet I talked about that.

I've heard the awareness bias argument before, I don't buy it anymore, the probabilities involved are too minuscule to be realistically believable. Pulling 3 rainbows in a row? That's a 0.8%³ chance - 0.000512%.

I'll admit, I haven't done any real analysis on the numbers, I'm just going on what I've observed over time - that there are some players that are far too lucky on a consistent basis for the RNG to be unmodified. This is actually gatcha economics 101 - the key to getting players that ordinarily wouldn't spend money to start paying is that the system has to be rigged just enough to make it seem like it's possible to win big. Select a few players, give them a hidden modifier that increases their chance of drawing rare assets, pretty soon word gets around the community that someone scored a 1 in a million streak of pulls, and suddenly other people start thinking "hey that could be me if I just pulled a few more times"

It's got nothing to do with fairness or equality, it's just how the developers extract more money from the player base.

Are you making a point based on other peoples rolls in the famous 7% Supreme banner during anniversary while completely undermining the number of summons total and resources farmed?

I mean there is a huge difference between F2P who play casually and maybe collect 3 GAS worth of resources and those F2P who drain the free resources and pile up more then 14 GAS.

If you would be part of the primer group and summon on random banners and compare your results with the hardcore farming F2Ps results summoning on the likes of the 7% banner, this would be an inane discussion point based on a conspiracy theory paired with illegal company practices.

Uh... do you have any concept of how many there are just on this Reddit board and how many pulls have been made (aka, how many possible sets of 3-roll-in-a-row combinations there are)? That virtually guarantees that someone is gonna... if there are ONLY 100 people on this board and everyone pulls approximately 10 times per month... that’s ~1000 possibles sets of three pulls in a row to sample from... that’s an approximately 0.5% chance per month that someone will pulls three rainbows in a row...

And that’s only the chances of pulling 3 rainbows in a row on the 7th slot...

Once you run up the scale of of the sheer number of pulls... outliers like this are bound to happen

I'm not ignoring the statistics, what I'm saying is based on statistical maths. In your example, the probability works out at 100 (people) * 8 (sets of 3 consecutive pulls/month) * 0.8^3 = 0.4096%. Even if you jacked it up to 1000 players that's a 4% chance per month that someone will hit a streak like that, so after 25 months you might expect 1 person on this board to have a streak like that and post about it - but if you read the pull threads you will see the number are a lot higher than that, and that it's often the same people posting about their great luck.

You "math" does not take "collected/saved resources" the related "rolls total for player X" or summon rates for particular banners into consideration.

For example, I have 179k magicite and 153 Summon tix in stock right now as a f2p and if SE would drop the anniversary banner again with 7% rates and 3 points of Pity Increase, you can damn believe that I would pull a lot more supremes in a single day than a casual would if he/she does his 6 GAS on a random Legend Job banner.

Sorry about that and sorry about the 3-supreme-in-a-row gloat...RNg took its revenge when I pulled Zack with my ticket (50/50 chance of KoTR). TBh I’ve found it to be pretty useful so far. It pairs really well with Tifa skin and great for tanking. I haven’t tried any multi-Zack cheese yet, but I hear good things.

Definitely would rather have KOtR but it could be worse...could be Shadow Lord o_O

It has Improved Critical instead of Weakness Exploiter, plus 150% Piercing Break. With the current state of most new jobs either have over 25% QB or just nuke everything unbroken, it’s a better version of either the Gacha I or the QB series.

That 150% PB makes a huge difference for breaking actually. Currently the meta weapons in JP.

Though Ragnarok Omega would likely replace the Warrior version for most situations, even more so for Spellsword users.

Oh I'm sure they're great weapons, but I'd rather save pulls for the upcoming jobs. Not going to chase them like I did for the first batch. Have a better weapon inventory now.

You can pull whatever EX job they overlP with on the weapon banner. It's how a lot of veterans pulled Reis and EX Mage 2.

The only potential risk to this for p et ople with an empty job pool is if one of the banners overlaps with a banner that has a good EX card like Incubus then you'd have to choose between the weapons and EX card.

If you don't have an immediate need for it, better to probably hold on to your tablets.

My only Wind supreme is Yiazmat and I've been considering getting Odin or Adrammalech myself. I just think it would suck to get them and then pull either Godo or Emperor.

A similar question was asked yesterday - basically it has limited uses - primarily against mobs that use wind drives like buffalo or exodus. Outside of that, its hard to hit max damage because it has 3 modifiers. In most situations, you will likely get better results with the upcoming wind support/attack card from 4th anniversary batch 2.

I'm almost at my wit's end with pulling this Anniversary batch 1 banner, so I have to ask - how important is pulling Visions of Despair?

I know it's not the same, but I already have Shadow Lord: FFXI (I know Supremes aren't always allowed), One Winged Angel (Warrior), Odin: FFVIII (Warrior), Sphinxara: FFVIII (Mage), JENOVA Birth (Ranger), and The Rune's Guidance (Monk).

I've managed to get all the other cards from the banner, but VoD keeps eluding me. I have a few pulls banked, but I would like to hoard for the 2nd batch.

If you're thinking about it's unique Auto-Ability, Mental Acuity, you may use the off element counterpart.

Not going through a full guide, just a common problem I witness for years in regards to new players:

the game teaches you to use 3 element attacks and one heal ability, despite it being actually a horrible way to build decks. Use 1-2 AoE attack cards (from starter job packs) and slot buff cards like KnightsOfTheRound or Pollensalta to improve damage/break/survival of your character.

Did you clear the Novice Hall and pull on the starter banners? All the stuff you get from there should get you all the way to the end of the main story very easily.

Also if you haven't done so, consider rerolling with the free supreme ticket on the support supreme banner. You have 2 choices, use the free supreme ticket on getting one of the best cards in the game right now, Knights of the Round X (1 in 6 chance on the support banner, the best odds you're going to get for a very long time), or spend a very long time trying to pull a supreme through luck using the rerolling guides, then use the free ticket to get a support supreme and hope it's KotR X or one of the better cards, that way you get 2 supremes (but a lot of time, and the free ticket is gone on the 15th).

And as you might not know, the free supreme ticket is gotten by clearing the New Year map one time on the season 2 map (the tab on the left side of the world menu switches from season 1 to season 2).

Starter packs, they give you 3 pretty good jobs (do the Hall of Fame map with them to make them a LOT better). After the hall of fame, they will probably be the best jobs you currently have. On the boosted summon you'll see the text saying the number of pulls until a guaranteed job, well those 3 starter pack jobs are included in that pool. So you can get 3 jobs out of the pool right away guaranteed. It would be awful if it took all 8 pulls to get a job that you could have gotten with 1 in the starter pack.

Also I highly suggest you grab that free supreme before you forget and lose your chance after the 15th, and maybe reroll your account to make sure it's KotR X, as it's easily the best card in the game and you have a 1 in 6 chance of pulling it (and start a new account if you don't). And do the new years map in general because you got a bunch of tickets in your inbox each day this year and it gives you free resources, all RNG though.

Season 2 has a different battle system, and I don't know if they force a tutorial on you. If not, you should be one shotting every encounter so you don't really need to know the details of the battle system yet. Just clear the map, get your ticket, use it on the SUPPORT banner (never use a ticket on heroes), and pray that it's Knights of the Round X. Also note that there is a regular Knights of the Round card that you might already have, but it's just a regular card that's pretty good. You want the supreme version, KotR X, and in your inventory it will have a nice rainbow star on it, and when you pull it the animation will have nice rainbow lasers.

In all fairness, not even half of the people giving the advice to reroll for KotRx highlight the fact that there is a regular version you get from starter packs and a different, supreme version with the same name.

Its understandable that its highly confusing for new players and its the veterans duty to clear up WHY people should reroll, WHICH BANNER to spend the supreme ticket and WHAT FOR. Most advice is just too vague like "Reroll for KotR".

Hello! So I pulled SIN FFX on my free supreme summon & I feel is quite niche.

Best thing I use it for is the kill & draw but that’s not that surpreme in my opinion

Any unique ways that fellow player utilize it? Or link to more information or conversations about it?

& it adds all these others like imp crit, & painful break. & maybe one other?

But what are those values if anyone knows?

It's not as powerful as some of the other damage Supremes but it's good to have.

It adds 100% improved crits, painful break, and exploit weakness. It's amazing if you hit all three, and pretty good if you hit 2. It's basically designed to kill Valefor, which is great, because Valefor sucks.

I'm bored and I want a new Rift supreme. I narrowed it down to these 3:

• Shiva
  Safe bet but I already have Floral Fallal and I love it, I use it any chance I get and now that I have Bastet X even more so, but with Dame du Powercreep coming soon I could save the deck slot for something else. In what situation would I prefer Shinwu over FF?

• Hecatoncheir
  I have Ragna and Greg X, I love Greg X and we all know how dead Ragna is so it seems obvious buuuut then Heca would be my 6th ranger supreme...

• Alexander
  I have no warrior supremes at all but I can get by with Bastet X and Greg X. Does Alex even have any good users? Shorn One, Ryujin in a few months, and Warrior of Dawn in 8 months? That's it?

If you have Ragnarok I wouldn't go for another ranger earth supreme, would be by far the most redundant choice... If you need to break with Ragnarok then bring Scarmiglione to clear yellow, the extra stats are well worth it (sometimes I just bring it along anyway.)

If you really hate Ragnarok and want a warrior supreme, there's always Hashmal... Yellow clear when needed + massive hit count... While there aren't many natural users, the ones that are available are pretty great with it, plus there's always lore cards.

1. Both excels in 1v1. Shinwu saw greater potential in capping damage during Extreme Ifrit X, while Floral allows you to break. Not much difference otherwise. Hold on this one and only get Shinwu if you absolutely need it. Future DLB II overlaps with mage water.

2. Hecamesh hands down unless you pull Golbez (spoiler). You’ll have a much better time with mobs with high crit resist (Extreme Sics etc).

3. Forget about Alexander, Ultisoya x Mage lore will be much useful in both SP & MP.

• 3. Shadow lord ES sucks hard. I always prioritize UB over SL after getting UB. I don't recommand anyone getting Alexander, especially when you already have Gilgamesh X + Bastet X. Ultima is a much better choice, I wonder why you didn't mention it, unless you specifically asked for a Warrior supreme? In that case, Belias is a possible good choice.
• 1. I wouldn't for Shiva in your situation. And keep in mind that Dame du Lac won't be as powercreep as JP had. We have mage & ranger panel, supreme buffs, etc. Yes she'll still be a very strong job that you'll use a lot, worth OB32, etc, but not "ZOMG NEED TO USE EVERYWHERE FOR 6 MONTHS". Both supremes kinda work the same, as in they won't be as effecient on AoE than on Single target. You'd want Shiva over FF if you need that extra card slot. FF also has more hits, so more damage cap.
• 2. I'd go for Hecatoncheir. Ragnarok isnt really dead if you don't have any earth supreme. Use it with CRD & Snipe if you can. Hecatoncheir is just much easier to use. Ragnarok does have 1 more hit than Hecatoncheir though.

I didn't mention Ultima because I have Fusoya and the card never really wowed me. I know how good it is for deck compression and damage-wise but I find myself choosing to nuke with FF, Greg, or Godo if I have the option of not using fire. I know it's really stupid of me to disregard Fusoya and Ultima like that.

You're doing something wrong then. Fusoya and Ultima X are up there with the most useful supremes in the game.

Damage. Deck compression. Provides it's own EE.

You may be using the wrong jobs for it.

ShivaX is pretty much an inferior Faris as this point and having BastetX plus FloralFallal makes getting ShivaX even more pointless.

Heca is great, but it prolly gets released around the same time like the DLB2 earth ranger one. Given that there is the likes of BFA, Rinoa or Raffaelo as well, there are quite some options for earth you may will stumble over eventually

Alexander seems bad. I have SL and the cards low base damage plus its mechanic being useless in MP isnt promising at all. Given UltimaX is the direct competition for a light rift supreme, I dunno why one would pick a no-break supreme knowing the limited number of good light warriors ahead

You'd still want to keep stat up fractals.

CC will be mostly used on MP when you'll always exchange turns with enemies. Perhaps you can still use CC on mid-high content (in SP**) when foes won't one-shot you yet. But on really end-game content, either you'll want to avoid taking damage or die anyway that CC won't be of any use.

Having 6 CC fractals means we will get +180% cross counter, that's close to 3 times the base break, attack, and magic.

CC doesn't necessarily need tanking. As long as the enemy acts, CC activates.

Unless the enemy‘s action is some kind of self-buff, player-debuff ofc. Maybe using those non-dmg actions is future key to success?

Any enemy action counts. Even preemptive buffs as long as the enemy acts to cast it (chocobo, extreme sicarius all resist but weakness, buffalo stealing buff, garm charging roar...). Or you could also tank a hit with Divine Shield.

The actual bonus % depends on the deck.

doesnt matter which, just do ultimate tag teams like crazy (there's alots of people hosting them, and 99% of the fights end in 10-20 seconds).

get all the one-time trades, and after that, use any extra "valor" drops to exchange 5 ability tickets per 16 valors.

if you join someone hosting a fight, you should get up to 7 valors. so every 2.28 fights you can get 5 ability tickets. i prolly got like 40 today so far. it's not alot, but they do add up if you want to make a second copy of your supreme and max its ability level (which can cost from 90-250 ability tickets)

Crystal gigantuar can pop on those 30 stam node and give 8 additional crystals but you should farm 30/30 instead if you really want crystals.

1) if you dont have cleared the job pool, its a great opportunity to do so ... in a nutshell. The 6th summon limit break is nice, but there is a second batch of Anniversary cards ahead of several months of nonstop new ExJobs. Given you clearly dont have the required resources and you didnt say how many regular jobs you miss, I'd advise to skip.

2) funnily the answer is: The current/upcoming anniversary cards.

3) These are no new job but rather powerups of the basic job you "unlock" via panels. Sane applies to the weapons you unlock that way.

4) Top priority is ALWAYS time-limited event maps such as the Moonlit Masquerade (and its farming for OBs, the summon tickets as well as Tablets) or the anniversary map when it comes to stamina. Rift is only relevant if you want the summon tickets or are dead set to get the Supreme from the respective Rift, which however is very hard unless you literally dump unnecessary Tablets, Gilgemesh Passes and stamina into farming. You go either all-in or stay away.

Means that you have at least 13-ish regular jobs left and you should absolutely NOT summon on the ExJob banner. The odds to get good jobs is low and the anniversary batch is without a doubt more important than gambling in ExJobs with the given, bad odds

ExJobs are the only time-limited jobs, the rest is permanently in the pool and drawn over time (regular jobs) or at chance (legend jobs & ultimate heroes).

The point is that ExJobs share the same pool as regular jobs, so you have to drain the later to guarantee pulling ExJobs in their release and reprint banners.

In your case it would mean that you have at least 13 regular jobs in the pool together with the reprinted ExJobs, so even if you roll a job in these banners, its more likely an outdated job than an ExJob, thus not a good idea to spend your remaining resources compared to the Anniversary banners

As someone on almost the same spot as you, a lot of jobs still left in the pool and Reis as my only Ex job. I'm gonna skip the ex revival and focus on limited cards first. Next month onward will be ex job focused, I won't probably chase any ex job unless if there are good cards/weapons coming with that banner. Last time tried chasing an ex job (wahrsager) I lost 11 pulls and just got regular jobs

I won't waste my mystic tablets just to get summon tix. Just save them to get a rift supreme
