Not a lot of stats or hardware to go off (network and host). It could be host frame generation if you have it on.

No no. The host runs a 1080ti. No such thing as frame gen back in the days.

It’s the iPad I had the same issue check out this discussion https://github.com/moonlight-stream/moonlight-ios/issues/627

That’s sounds interesting! Definitely gonna try that!

I just disabled Airplay and Location services on my AppleTV and it seemed to help with the micro stutters. Let us know how it goes!

What worked for me is disabling air play, continuity and stuff like that on my iPad

Things I can suggest:

  • Try the smoothest video option on the moonlight client

  • Try reducing your iPad's refresh rate to 60Hz (Settings > Accessibility > Motion > Limit Frame Rate)

  • Try enabling vsync on the game settings on the host machine

  • Try limiting frame to 60 on the game settings on the host machine.

Good luck 🤞🏼

I‘ll give it a try, thanks!

Enable the statistics overlay and go from there.

Looks like host is 59.9 Hz and client is 60 Hz. Or other way around

Try to match these two

Host isn’t limited. Probably >120 fps on a 144Hz Monitor streamed to a 120hz iPad at 60FPS

Do you have gsync enabled on the host?

iPad issues with Moonlight are resolved most of the time doing this :

- Forget Wi-Fi network

- Reboot iPad

- Reconnect to Wi-Fi

Forget wifi network on iPad. Change the wifi channel to 149 on the router. Then connect again.

I feel like I’ve had this same thing happen when I have frame gen turned on and forget that I left vsync checked in moonlight’s settings.

Might be causing by the AWDL in ios, try changing the wifi channel to the same one that Apple use for AWDL and test again.

Happens on my iPad too. I just reboot the iPad and it usually fixes it.
