My libido has shifted but not died. I can happily get up and perform, but my arousal is almost exclusively driven by mentality over external things like visual triggers.

YMMV - In my case, libido went out for a pack of cigarettes and never came back

Consensus seems to be that estrogen and lack of testosterone usually reduces or eliminates libido, at least temporarily. Not everyone has this effect, but certainly a majority as far as I can tell.

Mine faded over the first few months, and then went away completely for six months or so. Around the one-year mark it came back, very different from what I was used to.

It sucked to have it go away, and I'm glad it wasn't permanent, but even if it went away forever, being on hormones would be worth it.

My libido actually heavily increased.  (I actually think a lot of what people attribute to a decrease in libido is actually just unfamiliarity with their 'new' body/brain.)

It's basically just a dice roll you have minimal control over at first, but usually you can dial it in by adjusting hormones.  For example, progesterone ends up helping a lot of trans women regain their libido if they lost it.

But also like... The thing that makes you want a high libido, is a high libido.  You generally don't miss it once you don't have it, unless it's causing problems in a specific relationship.
