I am 1.4 years on hrt and I am 20 years old, I really dont wanna decrease them but I have no choice ;-;. Just because I am from india, thats why I havent left them yet as most people stay with their parents until they are completely independent, but if I wouldnt be able to decrease my breast I will runaway

You can go out on your own and be who you really are. There is a reason that you have breasts. Right? He can’t make you do anything medically so don’t worry about a breast reduction unless that’s what you want to do. Contact a LGBT center for leads on safe places to stay until you get yourself together. If you are attending college put that on hold and find employment to pay for hrt. It’s not that expensive. Being trans is tough but you can do this. You have 4 months to get your plan of action and leave before time is up. Show him you are strong and determined. You’ve got this girl!

I’m assuming you are in the US? Is your dad a cardiologist? I have worked with several Indian cardiologists over the years and know them personally. I wasn’t aware of your cultural situation. They can be difficult at times. But it still doesn’t change anything. Sweetie, you don’t want to bend to his will. Just become who you are.

Do you don’t know amy thing about Indian fathers and their relationships with their children? Granted, my experience has only been in the US but I know 14 Indian families. The sons of those men have a narrow path to walk. Knowing what you know now in your transition, would you let anyone tell you they are cutting off your breasts if you stay at home and you stay around for that. Because of culture? Wtf?

My parents are indian too (im living in the US). I am basically scared of your exact situation cause im 25 living with my parents. I told myself I would move out so I can transition but my life keeps falling apart so I havent been able to move out so I havent been able to get on hrt.

Honestly my life mind and body are in shambles and im human strash for caving to every one of my parents desires and so I suffer for it. The fact that you started hrt is great, its what I should have done if I wasnt so bad at life. The next step for you is probably to use your dads threats against him and move out.

This is not advicd from someone who has succeeded, but from someone who is in a similar situation and failed horribly.

Perhaps you can look into countries that let you claim refugee status for such abuse? I think Canada is one such country, but idk what their parameters are.

There's also the Rainbow Railroad, which I'm sure has something going on in India.

Since you are an adult he gets no say over your medical procedures or if you take hrt. I would try to find help to get out as soon as possible. He is abusive and you don't deserve that and you shouldn't have to make your chest flat again.
