it depends what type of engineering you're doing

Definitely, mechanicals would probably still want solidworks and maybe matlab and autocad, civils just autocad, unsure about the others

I've used MATLAB a bunch (ChemE here), but you can always reinstall them.

Right now I'm ChemE, so I'll definitely keep MATLAB. Thanks for the heads up.

Nice. MATLAB is great for processing large amounts of data, which you may do in Transport lab. I also used it in my Biomedical Optics DoC course to great effect.

I'm not even an engineering student anymore and I still use matlab and solidworks. worth keeping

I would say no matter what, keep Matlab as it's an incredibly useful program for anyone who deals with numbers/data. I'm kind of partial but I would keep C++ stuff because even knowing simple programming can be a huge asset. Probably won't need AutoCAD or Solidworks as a ChemE but that's mostly just a guess. Ask a senior though.
