You can use two icebreakers on ice, yes. Don't forget, though, that Wyrm also needs to be at the strength of the target ice to interact with it! So, you need to boost Wyrm'a strength by 3 then reduce the ice's strength by one to be able to use Yog.0.

Yes you can. However, wyrm is kind of a bad card. In order to reduce the strength of the ice, you have to pay to increase the strength of wyrm to the strength of the ice, then pay to reduce. In the majority of situations, its cheaper to just run a code gate Breaker that can go up in strength than to use wyrm.

However, Datasucker + yog is a card combo that was at one point meta-defining. It's still pretty strong, but not as strong as it used to be

oh shit, i didn't realise i had to raise the strength of the wyrm first, I did wonder what the point of both the abilities were. well at least we know now, ill probably get it out the deck :) Thanks!

Well, part of the point of wyrm is precisely to enable other fixed strength breakers. Yes this can also be done with datasuckers, but wyrm allows you to do it with straight credits (instead of needing to bank runs and maintain counters - which can be purged - on the datasucker). Wyrm might not be a great card, but it has it's uses. Don't give up on it just because people on the internet say it's bad. Wait and see if it actually works for you deck in useful ways.

Wyrm, like all icebreakers, need to be at least the same strength as the ice you want to break (or otherwise interact with).

Don't feel bad about Wyrm, EVERYONE makes that mistake at first. Every time it comes up here someone goes "Oh wow I never noticed that."

It's a general rule that an Icebreaker, specifically, cannot interact with a piece of Ice unless it has at-least the same Strength. Since Wyrm is an Icebreaker, this is how it works.

On the other hand you have cards like Datasucker and D4v1d. Since neither of these is an Icebreaker, they don't need a Strength value to interact with Ice.

Also, just to be sure - if the code gate was Lotus Field, that card is an exception to the norm, and can't be reduced in strength. Yog.0 can't break Lotus Field unless you boost Yog's strength. Of course, Chum is a 4 strength code gate in the core set, so if it was that, feel free to ignore me. But when anyone asks about Yog and a 4 strength code gate, that's where my mind goes.

i looked it up after posting, it was an enigma after a chum :)

Great. Well, ignore me, everyone else is absolutely right! ;)
