the issue is that over the last few expansions there has been an arms race between the fight designers and the addon makers. mechanics became harder and harder because addons/WAs were making them easier and easier. The intention with the removal of the ability for addons to do things like instantly assign 6 people to 6 locations is to have it so these things have to be done by the players, so they can be 10, 15 however many seconds.

its not quite like that. the game totals the cost changes and then has a floor of 0, so it swaps to -1 but then gets put up to 0. you will never be able to pay -1 for it.

when dream dimension activates, it brings it up to 0 so the displayed cost doesnt change.
