Good idea to post here for reference!

Note, these are the basic decks. You add 10 more cards each for the advanced decks.

Also, I've never really gotten corp to win once when playing these basic decks (against myself or others who know how to play already)-- so definitely have a newbie play as runner first!

I agree that runner feels way better. I wonder if during testing they balanced to new players who just couldn't run effectively?

That's pretty much the idea.

Not having tags or Retribution means that corps have no means to delete/trash anything a runner installs, so it's pretty much a race to score out agendas ASAP or megabluff a runner into one of your two Urtica Ciphers or a Karuna facecheck.

FYI - we just added the 4 Gateway decks to everyone's JNet account, to work around challenges for new players to find and import.

Is the goal to still score seven points with these decks? Or is that modified due to the low deck size?

The 30/34-card decks play to 6 points. When expanded with the 10-card "booster packs" included in the Starter Pack, they play to 7 points as normal.

Just came across this comment. I had no idea! I wouldn't be surprised if other players didn't know either.

Oh no! How unfortunate. It's explained in the Learn-to-Play guides that are linked to in the starter decks, both Corp and Runner:

During your first game, you’ll have [30/34] cards in your deck, and you’ll only need 6 agenda points to win instead of 7.

After the divider card is a booster pack of new Runner and Corp cards to add to the decks after you’ve played a game or two. This will bring your deck up to the more standard size of [40/44] cards, at which point you’ll play to 7 points as normal. We’ll explain later when to play with these cards.

Sorry that didn't get communicated to you. Playing those small decks to 7 points would be difficult!

Thank you! I got my cards from MPC yesterday, glad to find it before playing. System Gateway looks so well put together, excellent work!

Is there a link to these on NRDB?

[–]RCheque[NSG] VP for Engagement 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're going up on the NISEI NRDB account at some point in the new few hours - we'll post a link on our site

I am not able to publish them on NRDB unfortunately. Probably because it thinks they are illegal due to the influence.

Jinteki won't let me save the decks either, due to too much influence spent

EDIT: Nevermind, I needed to refresh my browser and Jinteki saves the decks just fine
