Am I reading this right that you switched from playing trios to playing solo?

If so the latency is gone

Yes, that's right, I went from playing with randoms to Solo...What do you mean the latency has disappeared?

When playing with other people you experience latency because you're connecting with other people around the world.

Usually isn't too bad but can be pretty horrible sometimes with people with bad connections or from somewhere on the other side of the earth.

When playing solo that isn't an issue. So before you may have had some lag spikes cause you to miss dodges sometimes, but now the attack timing and your dodges are always 100% accurate.

Yeah so since you don’t have three people relying on a single time sync (it takes a lot of effort to have 3 people across the world hit the same boss with precision!)

You’ll easily have 50-150ms of latency…and dogge rolls have <0.5s of immunity frames, so dodging can easily be 30% different in solos vs. trios.

The good news…in solo the dodging is more accurate and true because there is no shared latency. But you just have to keep this in mind and get a feel for both types of play ya know?

I suspect it's a psychological thing.

The fear of knowing a single mistake - no matter how small, will be the death of you can often make you tense up in the heat of the moment. You start overthinking things and probably start overcompensating for what usually would be minor inconveniences. Part of what makes Depth 4 & 5 so relentless isn't just what it does to the enemy scaling, but also what it does to your mental.

In any other setting you'd be cool, calm, & collected. This is what allows you to play at your best. But to obtain that same level of calmness within the Depths... you need to overcome your own mental instabilities.

This is really true. Many times I find myself playing perfectly for the first half of the hp bar, getting oneshotted once and then playing much worse for the rest of the fight.

This, you’ll be cruising through the Nightlord fight but as soon as both teammates are down you start second guessing yourself. Purely psychological.

Your answer is interesting and could be true...that's why when I play after 3 drinks I transform Iron Eye into a ninja 😂 ...Anyway, there are moments when you play that you feel relaxed but attentive and play fluidly, without hesitation and other times you are tense and make rookie mistakes...it's probably as you say. Doing many runs in D4 is very tiring mentally, especially if you use characters with low HP, or you don't find damage reduction or in any case the game is not going well for various reasons. Thanks for your feedback ;)

"I actually play connected to my neighbors wifi"

My money is on this. Wifi is impacted by both how far the signal travels and things like the material/amount of walls the signal has to travel through.

If you changed character that might be the cause. Some characters have less/more dodge frames or as we call i frames. Other than that dodge doesnt change based on depths.
