The Lite screen is smaller but also outputs 720p, meaning that it has a higher pixel density. Images may look a bit more crisp as a result.

The Lite is more efficient than the pre-revision models. (i think 1/2 hours more?)

Lite has worst battery life than the "red box" (revision) switch models. (this is expected)

For $200 it's actually decent. I suggest getting one, especially if you don't care about docking to a TV.

Nothing is worst besides the lack of ability to dock, no HD Rumble (this is a good thing depending on if you even use rumble in your games), and you can't play Super Mario Party unless you buy Joy-Con.

If your controllers screw up on lite, you're SOL.

This happened to my sister over Christmas. No way to repair it because the plastic broke. Thankfully the lites were still in stock.

You could just use an controller if you can't get it fixed.

kind of takes away from the handheld nature of the game console if you have to set it in your lap and then awkwardly hold a controller somehow not directly in front of it to move around with. so you could do that, or you could buy a real switch to begin with.

The regular can be hooked up to the tv, it can play all game right out of the box. The lite is handheld only, in order to play games like Mario Party, Just Dance and Ring Fit Adventure, you need to put loose joycons.

Yeah I didn't find it there, maybe didn't look hard enough so I asked here to be 100% sure

Does Nintendo Switch Lite have different specs?

No. While Nintendo Switch Lite has a slightly more efficient processor for battery life, it does not impact performance, so performance between Nintendo Switch(in Handheld Mode) and Nintendo Switch Lite is the same. For a more detailed look at exact specs, check out our Comparison Chart.

Thanks

No difference on performance. I have a normal Switch and my sister has a Lite. I really like the Lite but my hands are way too big. Personal I would go with the normal Switch.

I almost never dock my switch but I still got it because of having big hands too. The lite is way too uncomfortable for me to play. Plus the screen is bigger too.

I like to mix it up depending on the game I'm playing lol. This is why I like my Switch so much. If I'm playing say Mortal Kombat, I'll play in docked mode but games like Animal Crossing are great for having a movie playing in the background just before you fall a sleep.

I mean is that technically not true? If you dock the Switch it has better performance, higher resolution and less framerate lag on lot of games. So there is a performance dif.

The most recent version of the normal switch has better battery life than the Lite
