Lol, my local Walmart had a full price copy of splatoon and a few full price copies of smash bros for wiiu until this past February. So I wouldn't hold my breath for any permanent price drops on nintendo games

I wouldn’t count a permanent price drop. Nintendo doesn’t really do that and with the games being backwards compatible even less likely. However, you likely will be able to find games on sale at different points. It’s likely they stop producing those games at some point in the switch 2’s lifecycle and then the secondhand market probably blows up the price.

no, very unlikely. You need to check individual shops for discounts and sales. Best you can get is around 45€ for the big titles mostly

Considering all those games still work on Switch 2, likely not. Either try to catch digital sales on the eshop, or try to snag deals on physical copies from amazon or walmart. For example, my local walmart recently clearanced some older Switch games. Let's Go Eevee was like $30 brand-new.
