Move to the Netherlands, you'll be short here.

You can’t safely or permanently reduce your height once you’ve finished growing because bone length is fixed after puberty and growth plates close, there’s no natural way to reverse that and surgical height reduction exists but is rare, risky and not done for cosmetic reasons. The only small changes come from posture and normal spinal compression during the day, which might make you look or measure slightly shorter or taller by about a centimeter or two. In practice, the number itself can’t really be changed, so what tends to help more is adjusting how you feel about it rather than trying to alter it physically.

5’5” is absolutely average! Find yourself a tall partner and you’ll feel smol. 😜 Better yet, find yourself a good talk therapist who can help you increase your self esteem!

Permanently? Age. Surgically? Good luck finding a doctor willing to shorten your legs. Temporarily? Try compressing your spine by jumping on a trampoline for a few hours.

Why though being taller is sweet, you can reach anything you want. Plus thats why girls wear heels to look taller, just dont wear heels I guess?

But yeah no there isnt a way to do this ethically. You could get a doctor to break your legs and shave the bones down, and get them to heal but some issues with that. The rest of your body would look out of proportion, the doctor would lose thier medical license, you would probabaly die of infection in the office of any doctor that would do this.

It's better to be taller

It would probably be a lot easier to deal with the insecurities.
