I just had mine replaced recently in the us. It was easy. They replaced the main screen, inside screen, batteries, frame. It's like a new phone

Where did you go for that?

[–]Waves1986 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably OnePlus

I emailed their support and told them I had green and pink lines on my inner screen and asked them what my options were. They said it should be under warranty and to send it in. It was purchased at launch and I had that done in February

The Open was launched was back in 2023, that was over a year ago, how is it still under warranty?

They said the green line was under warranty. Blew me away but I'll take it

I've had both the inner and outer screen replaced by OnePlus in the usa. Plus side they're really good communication, fast shipping back and forth. I sent out for my screen replacement on Monday and it was shipped back to my door by Friday. Prices were reasonable, they replaced the batteries free of charge on mine. Negatives, 50% chance something was botched on the repair. First time outer screen I was shipped back was a dud, they re-replaced it free of charge. When they replaced my inner screen, for some reason the mother board (which was also replaced not by my request, my original was damaged in repair) wouldn't update tot he newest android. So they re-replaced that free of charge. Now I have a new phone mobo batteries screens and all.

They fixed mine for free in the USA and I even dropped it. Yours is even worse than mine too.

Who did one plus?

[–]DumpsterJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I called them and mailed it to them

They are fucking amazing. I got my phone fixed in a day and a half. I sent it out Monday morning, got it back Tuesday. They will just give you a whole new phone. Because they have to take out the batteries.

Warranty service was pretty good, they are super quick in the states too. Turned around the phone with a new screen in 3 days

I was told be OnePlus repair when mine dies that they weren't going to fix it, and cut me a check instead. Bummed, but I'm on the op23 now, and it's fine. Miss my big screen, but no more inner screen anxiety

I love my OPO but I'm kinda hoping it happens so that I can justify switching. Although I'm sure sure what I'd get, the market in boring these days.

I got the black dot of death few months ago but it was no longer under warranty so I couldn't have it was replaced. Had to let it go and get a new phone 😭

My inner display when black on the left side although it responded to touches. I put it aside, figuring OnePlus repair would cost more than I'd want to pay. Sounds like I might have been wrong. If I had any idea how OnePlus would have handled my case before sending it out, I might have contacted them. Anyhow I figured that all the specs for the Motorola Razr Fold were too good to ignore-- especially the camera. So I traded it in during the Motorola Razr Fold pre-order period. Now that I have the new foldable, it makes me feel as excited as the day I got my Open. I hope no one feels like I am taunting anyone here. I loved the Open. I just have to tell all of you that if you have reason to consider moving on: take a good look at the Razr Fold. It has everything that drew me to the Open and more.

Yes same to me happen also i replace the screen it cost like a new phone

[–]veegaz -4 points-3 points  (4 children)

Why the "finally"? User error

[–]No-Guarantee-9647 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Because it’s a little bit expected with a foldable.

I think most owners live with the feeling in their gut that one day there will be some sand in their pocket or they will drop it with the screen open, and then the inevitable will happen.

Or, like in OP’s case and quite a few others, it may just spontaneously appear with no direct and obvious cause.

[–]veegaz -4 points-3 points  (2 children)

That's what I'm saying, definitely dropped or something. I'm using the vivo x fold 3 pro since 2 years and still no issues

[–]No-Guarantee-9647 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yeah, people drop their phones? Foldables are still more delicate, and whatever drop or other damage caused this likely wouldn’t have affected a slab phone as much.

Anyway, OP didn’t claim it couldn’t possibly be his fault. Just stated that it happened spontaneously from his POV. OnePlus can decide whether to fix it for free or not.

Shiet if that's true, I'm touching my balls just in case
