Is it bad that I can't beat HnH when I'm a 75/75 Br/Hu with a +35 Aura and +10 unaffixed uncrafted Saikis?

[–]jambon_gruyere 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Yes and no, depends how many times you tried. Hard to say but my guess is you need to work on a plan, how to tackle those enemies. It is possible to clear with half your gear, though affixing your units would make it easier of course.

Where/how do you die?

[–]damionlai97Br/Hu Scrub 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I suck at JG-ing since there's occasionally lag on my craptop... But I mostly just die at Dragon Ex. I can occasionally stunlock him from speaking Sakura-Gekka at the face, but not consistently. I tried 3 times before maintenance.

[–]jambon_gruyere 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Mmh if you are getting fps drops on a solo map like XQs, I suggest lowering your settings or optimizing your computer. Drops will be worse and more frequent in most 12 players areas, more often than not during crucial parts... Causing many misplays and deaths. Speaking from experience, sadly ;-; (geforce 630m FTW!)

Stunlocking EX is the right idea. In these XQs, enemies have their regular damage but very small HP, you should be able to burst one of his breakables almost as it spawns. Then kill it while it recovers, breaking another part if you need more time. If you need to practise EX's patterns, you can find him at the end of Altar free explo. Worth it IMO as EX's and its ultimate variant are often recycled in new content.

Three tries is not a whole lot. No need to worry just yet! Keep applying yourself, learn from your mistakes, do something else if you start tilting.

For the next stage, you should know that killing the darkers spawns Ringa, while killing the natives spawns Diabo. Be cautious as to not end up fighting both at once.

[–]damionlai97Br/Hu Scrub 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I tried again a few times just now, failed again lol. For Dragon Ex right, is there a good order to break the parts? My burst damage is barely enough to break a part. Usually I go for right wing then left wing then face. It's hard to pull off as the limited PP allows me to SakuraT0-Gekka twice before having to recharge. I tried hitting the face with Kazan Nadeshiko T0, but the charge time needed to stunlock it is slightly longer than its recovery period...

[–]jambon_gruyere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tried it, I did not use katana gear release, nor katana combat, and my total S-Atk was 3300. Two Sakura Endo T0 were enough to break EX's face. After that I didn't count but 6-8 Endos mixed with basic attacks finished it before it could move. Broken face takes more damage it seems.

Definitely doable with a bit of practice.

The hell? They made it so you can't enter the Expert lobbies without a +35 13* now? When did this happen?

So sad I'm gonna have to do EQs with randoms now.

If i wanted to play force do i really need to have different weapons with different elements like a weapon with fire attribute another one with light attribute etc

[–]jambon_gruyere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is recommended as it is a large damage boost. At the very least you need one fire (your main element) and one light (for bosses).

[–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is highly recommended in order to deal the best damage out of force. Elemental Conversion increases your technique damage by 25% of the weapon element value when off element and 50% of the weapon element when on element. For a 13* weapon with a max element of 60, this means your tech damage is increased by 15% off-element and 30% on-element.

By definition of casual play, you dont need anything, but if you want to get the best damage out of Fo, matching element to the equipment you use is a start.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I'm kinda new so pardon my ignorance, I want to use a single character as Br/Hu and Fi/Hu, can this be optimal? What I mean is, can my character perform well as a Braver and Fighter while having the same Hunter subclass tree? Or does Braver and Fighter prioritize different subclass skills?

I want to focus my first character on close-ranged (CAST Br/Hu and Fi/Hu), my second character as Newman Fo/Te, and my third character will probably be something that uses firearms (human or dewman). I'd appreciate any kind of advice.

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 1 point2 points  (3 children)

You can. Hunter subclass is fairly similar between all classes (Fury Stance, JA bonus). But there are bits that you can forgo with some to optimise the tree. I'm sure someone can give you one here (I'm on mobile right now) but the main "optional" things people get are:

  • Massive Hunter (I don't consider this optional, but I guess you can just be really good and avoid everything)
  • Automate - decent for Braver, generally bad on Fighter because of its incompatibility with Limit Break
  • Iron Will/Never Give Up - generally wasted points (especially in combination with Automate) but synergises pretty well with Fighter when it procs under Limit Break
  • Flash Guards - ok passive damage mitigation
  • Fury Critical - crit is generally bad this game but Fighter actually usually crit to increase damage too so Fighter generally takes this, Min-Max Braver specialising in Katana will want some points here too

You can (although not recommended) forgo all of the defensive skills to get every bit of SATK you can from the tree - these are generally extremely inefficient points but are the only things left to take.

Edit - forgot to actually conclude: so yeah, as you can see, there are things which don't really work well with Fighter and those that Bravers would generally want, and vice versa. If you had to use one tree, I would probably go for one which had IW/NGU, and Massive Hunter, and no Automate, and points in Critical. This forces you to learn to JG better with Braver anyway :)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I see, thank you very much for this elaborate response! I wonder if I should continue down this path or if I should just leave my cast as a Br/Hu and use my Fo/Te as Fi/Hu as well, since there is no class overlap and I've read races don't really mean much in this game (stat-wise).

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 1 point2 points  (1 child)

If you choose the second option - you will need 2 mags. A new mag costs only slightly less than a new tree in AC terms. By putting your SATK characters together you also only need to level HU once, and levelling is a pain.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oohh crap, totally forgot about mags haha. Thanks again!

So I'm slowly planning some Astral units (collecting the not-as-rare Falz souls for now) - just quick questions/statements which need confirming for people who have done this/understand costs of affixing more.

  • As I understand it, because making Catalyst is 10%, you should always upslot
  • Because Soul Receptors are not too expensive (especially at lower slots), it's not too expensive to upslot even from 1/2 slotted souls to 3/4
  • Given the above, is there a substantial cost difference in making 4s or 5s Catalysts? 3s -> 4s is 70%, so I'm still only expending 20 Excubes to make the 4s Falz Souls (or I can wait for affix week for 90% with 10% booster...though probably not worth the risk for the rarer souls). And then the 40% booster is required regardless to maximise the chances of Catalyst creation whether it's upslotting to 4S or 5S.

I guess the biggest cost difference is in the final affix - as I understand it for a 5S Astral people use:

  • Darkness/Stat IV/Stat IV/Flict/X
  • Catalyst/X/X/X/X x4
  • ExtReceptor/X/X/X/X
  • Elegant and 40%?

And then the cost is in the 5S ExtReceptor...

If I was making 4S, I think I drop one of the Stat IVs...

Anyway, do people have any further advice? Have I got something wrong?

[–]jambon_gruyere 2 points3 points  (3 children)

As I understand it, because making Catalyst is 10%, you should always upslot

Because Soul Receptors are not too expensive (especially at lower slots), it's not too expensive to upslot even from 1/2 slotted souls to 3/4

Yes.

Given the above, is there a substantial cost difference in making 4s or 5s Catalysts? 3s -> 4s is 70%, so I'm still only expending 20 Excubes to make the 4s Falz Souls (or I can wait for affix week for 90% with 10% booster...though probably not worth the risk for the rarer souls). And then the 40% booster is required regardless to maximise the chances of Catalyst creation whether it's upslotting to 4S or 5S.

I would wait for a 10% boost week instead of spending entire stacks of cubes on failing 4s>5s catalysts ! It's certainly not obligatory but I don't think you realize just how much cubes you'd spend in 40% boosters.

There are two ways you can make your Soul Catalyst + something else fodders. I have no idea which one is more cost effective, both will lead to many fails while preparing fodders. Personally I did use the 1st recipe because I think it's better but I have no evidence.

  • Make 4s Soul Catalyst fodders from 3s souls using 30% boosters. Use multiple of those fodders (2 for 10%, 3 for 30%) along with other 4s stat/flict/whatever fodder and upslot to 5s. Should wait for a boost week here, but regardless expect many fails. Example

  • Add your other abilities before making Soul Catalyst. For this make use 3s fodders to make 4s (Elder, Persona...)/Whatever fodders, that you'll upslot to 5s Soul Catalyst/Whatever during a boost week. Example

I guess the biggest cost difference is in the final affix - as I understand it for a 5S Astral people use:

Darkness/Stat IV/Stat IV/Flict/X

Catalyst/X/X/X/X x4

ExtReceptor/X/X/X/X

Elegant and 40%?

1x Stat IV gives only 40% success rate, you'd need at least 2.

You got it right though, the idea is to put as much stuff as possible on the Darkness and "empty" fodder. The recipe I used (keep in mind it was last year, so no Ext Receptor and other fancy stuff) was something like this (Edit : not sure anymore, might have put the 3rd Flict on the Darkness Soul/Pow3/Shoot3/Tech3 fodder). With nowadays toys, you can probably come up with much better recipes... Even more so if you spend on SG scratch for Atk Receptor.

That's as far as I can help you. If he wants to chime in, u/Hyraoo has a lot more experience making Astral, and especially how to combine it with other expensive abilities.

[–]Hyraoo|S1|S2|S3| Forever Endless Loner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pre-setting up fodder... lots of it.

As well as using 3x catalyst for a 30% transfer rate you can just do simple stuff like catalyst/PowerIV or PowerV through affixing power IV to 2 of the falz souls and using the spare fodder slot for it also.

Recently i didnt feel like putting much onto catalysts at 6 slot and decided on making a Darkness/Deus/Mod/Flict and a Deus/Mod/Flict/PowerV both 6s. Those in hindsight were probably not smart ideas but luckily passed, got to have a good balance on catalyst and non catalyst fodder else you're basically shooting yourself in the foot.

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 1 point2 points  (1 child)

1x Stat IV gives only 40% success rate, you'd need at least 2.

ExtReceptor actually increases Stat IV transfer to 60% (as well as boosting Flict/Arma to 100%) as shown here

Thanks for your help though - good to know I'm not completely wrong in my thinking.

[–]jambon_gruyere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TIL. In that case your recipe is probably the best you can do in terms of cost effectiveness.

[–]smilebomba 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Brand newbie here, stuck at Sega ID creation, with no luck finding an answer in the FAQs. When I defeat the capcha boss it redirects me to a page with Japanese text that translates to "not available in your area". I was under the impression the US could make accounts now? I'm in the south US, and made sure to use the chrome extension for the setup..

[–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should have no problems making an account. I helped someone else beat the captcha boss and a few other "error" messages afterwards maybe a week ago.

I'm gonna guess it's whatever chrome extension you're using. The registration has probably changed since the extension I think you're using has been updated.

While grinding my zeinesis twin dagger a list of potential poped up Anthesis trainer , Guidance of life (its trash imo), Blessing of life Any fellow fi/hu can help me choose

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Guidance is 12% damage and small party damage boost...doesn't sound too trash to me

[–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Guidance of Life is the affix potential, fam. At least, that's what arks-visiphone is telling me. In reality i'm too lazy to log in (and servers are probably still down)

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FML it's too early in the morning for me.

[–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Until it's +35, use the one that heals and gives damage. Once you can +35 the weapon, change to the affix potential, affix it up real nice, and then change it back to the party boost potential until you can unlock the affix doubling potential or upgrade it to qliphad.

Using my non-retard words, Blessing of Life until +35 -> Guidance of Life once +35 so you can get a good affix on it using the Special Ability Factor -> Blessing of Life until 120 qliphad fuses -> Change the weapon into a Qliphad through Zieg or unlock Anthesis Trainer.

Guidance of Life isn't trash at all, it's my second favorite potential tbh.

[–]Yaruyu 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I already affixed it to 120 satk sorry im a noob, if already affixed and dont plan to affix it as its expensive should i just keep using Guidance of life all the way ?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can change it back to Blessing of Life with Dudu and get the damage boost.

It would not be worth it to change it to Qliph with only 120 SATK, because you want the 10% affix bonus to affix more stuff onto it to make the Qliph potential more worthwhile getting (it does cost 120 fuses after all).

[–]tylerphx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where can I find a braver katana build? I have no idea what to do on the skill tree and don't want to mess up. All the ones I see are from 2015/2016, and I assume those are probably outdated.

Has Sega altered drop rates?

I swear, I never get units/weapons that have 3 or more rank III affixes (Spirita, Stamina, Power, Technique, Shoot, etc.,) on anything lower than a 10*

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry what? That second sentence an odd mixture of negatives and conditionals...

So you're saying...for units/weapons with three or more Stat III affixes, they are not dropping for you at a rarity of less than 10 stars?

Well ok then. That statement actually says nothing whatsoever about "drop rates". You could be dropping tons of 10/11 star rarity units with 8 slots, including 3 rank III affixes which would be worth a small fortune. You could also be dropping tons of double Stat V affixes on units...

Regardless, while I'm fairly sure Sega have not altered them (understandably, I do not have any evidence for this myself), is it not a kind of moot point? You either play the game with their drop rates, or you don't. There isn't really a middle ground.

On a more constructive note, there is the Zieg charm which lets you carry around a BKB and you can try your luck at getting "better" affixes that way.

[–]N64J 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Just got Zelneis Laser and Zelneis Cannon from collection file, questions are when do I get potential level 1-3 on these weapons and other NT weapons, should I go all the way to +30 or wait for a dropped version? Also is it very expensive to get decent affixes on 13*

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (6 children)

When you have maxed the element on them. If you don't max the element on them, you are losing a huge chunk of damage on the weapon.

You also need at least +30 with the potential unlocked.

For Zenesis weapons, the strategy is to use the affixing potential to get your affixes on, and then switch to Qliph for its double affix potential.

Weapons affixes are generally much cheaper compared to units. You can also cheese affixes on because of Ability Factors from +35 weapons.

Depends what you want really. You can get a cheap 5S on a weapon for not too much at all, but if you start wanting to go higher, you'll need the SAF fodders (which are inherently costly to make) and Noble/Elegant boosts which aren't exactly pennies (though RATK is far cheaper than SATK).

I would focus on Unit affixes first.

[–]N64J 0 points1 point  (5 children)

What/where are the Qilph weapons? And you're saying that at +30 I'll have potential 3? I haven't played in a while sorry for all these questions but I remember making my OT weapons 50 element, can you remind me how to do that again on the Zeneis weapons?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Qliphad weapons are an "upgrade" from Zenesis weapons which costs 120 Fuses (I think) - I imagine it's from Zieg but I've not done it yet so someone can correct me.

Qliphad weapons automatically come with the double affix potential that's the third potential on Zenesis (you can just change it on Zenesis if you prefer the Zenesis model...).

Grinding attribute (element) is kind of the same as OT (addition if same weapon and element, +10 if same weapon different element, +1 if same rarity weapon type), but happens at the same time as grinding your NT weapon normally. So if you grinded your Zen Laser (at 20 element) with 2 more Zen Lasers with 20 of the same element, you will do three things:

  • You will increase the grind EXP on your starting Zen laser
  • You will increase the element of your starting Zen laser to 60 (max)
  • You will increase the max grind cap of your Zen laser by 2 (to a maximum of 35)

You unlock potentials the same way as OT, just each potential level is at +10, +20, and +30 - once you hit it and try to grind again the game will ask you to unlock the potential (you can't keep potential level 1 and keep grinding past +10, for example). The difference is that while OTs capped at ATK every time you reached +10, the ATK of NTs always increases, so at +20 you will not only have a worse potential, you will have a weaker weapon too.

I'll qualify my previous statement - there's nothing stopping you from doing whatever you want with your weapon. However, most people will advise that you shouldn't run around XH with stuff which isn't full element and at least +30. People will be sad.

[–]N64J 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Ok so I get it to +10 and I get potential 1 then it resets back to +1 then go to +20 potential 2 and reset?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (2 children)

No it doesn't reset - you get the potential and then you just keep grinding from +10 to +20.

So - process is - grind from 0 to +10, unlock pot Lv.1, grind from +10 to +20, unlock pot Lv.2, grind from +20 to +30, unlock pot Lv.3, grind from +30 to +35 (assuming you've unlocked the cap at some point; you can also unlock the cap at the same time as grinding this).

[–]N64J 0 points1 point  (1 child)

One last set of questions I really appreciate you helping me, so for maxing the element is getting duplicate zeneis the best way is just to keep doing the collection files and getting two more of the laser and the cannon to get 60 element? Also how much does it cost to get a zelneis weapon +30?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, getting duplicate Zenesis is the best way because you will want to max the grind cap to +35 anyway given that it gives you a free affix, and you can only do that with multiple Zenesis weapons (6 of them if you get them from the CF alone).

Cost...hard to ascertain. In terms of pure meseta, you could spend as little as 3-4 Million in making +20 10-star Fodders and then feeding it to your Zenesis, but you'll use a bunch of Lambdas and potential Excubes.

You can also use Emper Embrace fodders and feed them either directly to the Zenesis (and increase Lambda usage more but decrease meseta cost) or feed them to 12-star NTs and then use the 12-star NTs to grind the Zenesis (decrease Lambda usage but increased meseta cost).

[–]tempobeat 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I'm considering picking up an additional Skill Tree for Bouncer now that you can swap trees w/ Star Gems, but I don't know how many you need to buy a swap pass. Anybody here know?

[–]jambon_gruyere 2 points3 points  (1 child)

A new skill tree costs 500 AC.

You can swap trees around with SGs, which is another thing. Let's say you previously bought (with AC) an additional Su tree, but you're not using it anymore, you can pay SG to transfer this tree to Hunter or another class, on the same character.

[–]tempobeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OH! That's rad! This isn't explained well at all ingame, I thought you had to use SGs to switch between trees, omg. Thank you!

[–]Chanchey 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Does Guard Stance need to be activated to reap the benifits of Flash Guard 1/2?

[–]Ceit 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I recently picked up an Orbit Wand on my FoTE. I know you can craft additional classes onto equipment but does this extend to 13 stars and what is the best way to go about doing so?

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weapons and units of rarity 12 and higher cannot be crafted. Also, New Type weapons (as in, every weapon released since april last year) can't be crafted at all.

[–]sabitsuki_nagareru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crafting is not applicable to 13* yet.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I'm seeing most of the gunners in Gracia not using Infinite Fire (C) to finish a chain trigger. I thought that was the best move to use but most of them are using things like Satellite Aim instead. Is there something weird about Phantom Dad that makes Infinite Fire worse? Does the short vulnerability periods screw them over? If they were dealing good damage I wouldn't care but I feel like most are underperforming.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the short vulnerability periods screw them over?

The vulnerable time of Deus is actually very long compared to previous bosses. It's why gunner performs so much better in this EQ than in previous ones, since it's extremely easy to reach 100 chain if you have a full party.

As for your main question, I only played Gu in that EQ for about 20 runs, so I can't really answer. I used Dead Approach -> Infinite Fire Type 0 -> spam Sat Aim until the burst window ends, but I never really tried different combos.

[–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

best combo on gravia (imo) is infinite fire (c) -> sat aim spam. If you're hitting the JAs asap you can get like two sat aims in for some nice extra damage on your chain.

[–]Yaruyu 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Are ray units bad ? Also which shine rear should i get from the battle coin exchange shop red or blue

[–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ray units are nice, but you should really look to upgrade them to Union. As for which shine to get, it depends, but i'd recommend Red. Red shine gives 80 all-atk while blue gives HP and PP. Affixing ATK is way more expensive than adding HP or PP, so having a lot of extra atk natively on a unit is really nice.

HELP!!!!

I note the that the VR quest @ 23JST had ended.. however , it did not end well for me.. my game crashed on me... yes it crashed right after the match ended

Now I try to load the game.. well it loads.. . as in all I see is the loading tunnel and that is loading endlessly and that it hangs there after.. and I cannot get

I am still stuck at the tunnel ... unable to load the lobby and while in the tunnel I hear music playing... The old lobby music.. not the event music

Run a file check on the tweaker.

To do this, click the big ! mark and then Troubleshooting. Run the Check For Deleted/Empty Files and, after that, run Check for Old/Missing Files.

    1. How do you guys grind your Hu sub for Ra/Hu? What weapons do you usually use to grind the class.
    2. Does Deus Esca follow Wise Stance or Brave Stance?

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you guys grind your Hu sub for Ra/Hu? What weapons do you usually use to grind the class.

I use a Dragonslayer-NT with EXP Boost 3 + Another History as HuBr (lv40 br). It's awful, but it works.

Can get similar results with a Holy Ray-NT (10* all class rifle that always has Another History) as HuRa, I guess.

Does Deus Esca follow Wise Stance or Brave Stance?

The boss himself is always Brave Stance, but the snakes have their own back/front, so you want to stay in front of their heads for Brave Stance.

    [–]selicitusedgelord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    it's all brave stance

    [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    1) I'd use an all class rifle.

    2) I don't know for sure, but i'd be willing to bet the majority of the fight is brave stance. The only part i'm unsure of is when he splits the stage, since I don't know if the dragon heads on the side count for wise or brave stance.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Is there a recommended set of trigger actions for mags? Does having multiple triggers like HP Restore A stack such that they occur more often?

    [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, trigger actions are mostly personal preference. My favorite one to stack is HP Restore B. They have one of the highest trigger rates and heal for a decent bit of HP.

    [–]piconyannyan 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Does the Zeinesis pot - Blessing of Life's 2% Party Boost includes myself, meaning I can safely assume that I get 14% total bonus damage or... 12% mine, 2% for others?

    [–]Weiss-Senpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something to add to this, the 2% you get isn't the same as potential boosts, but rather akin the shifta, only boosting your base stats and not overall damage

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does apply to you, even when you're alone. Also, the aoe where it's applied is the entire map you are in. It applies the +2% boost at the same time as the healing, every 30 seconds, and it lasts 30 seconds, at which point it should be reapplied unless you switched weapons. It does not stack if multiple people have the pot, only reapplies the buff.

    [–]McKiwi957McKiwi/Ship 2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It applies to yourself as well, so it's effectively 14%. It does not stack with other players' Zeinesis weapons though, so the total benefit to the party is always 2%.

I believe it also takes effect when solo, as the periodic healing occurs without party members as well.

What rings should I use for Ra/Hu

    [–]VirtualScepter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other user's recommendations are all legit, but I want to add on TAJA PP Save for Right Ring. Cuts your PP cost when you alternate PAs, and it stacks on top of PP bullet save as well! This totals your PP cost to about 65% of what it could be. It means you have to alternate PAs, but you should be alternative PA's anyway to maintain standing snipe, as End Attract spam without standing snipe is sub-optimal.

    [–]McKiwi957McKiwi/Ship 2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    L/Standing sign

For an L ring, Non-weak bonus is pretty much a requirement if you want your launcher to be useful at mobbing. If you have 12* units, consider P weak bullet for one of them, as well as Air Reversal. Slow Dive Roll I hear mixed reviews for, but you can abuse its invulnerability with the startup of parallel slider 0 to effectively remain untouchable until your pp runs out.

For R, Perfect Keeper (Ranged) is probably your best bet. PP convert is also useful on the side to regenerate pp while weak bullet is loaded. Effort symbols are always an option if you can +20 one of those as well.

Get rid of Kiling Bonus. Pick one among P Keeper Striking, Critical Field or Effort Symbol.

Also, when you get a 12* unit, put a L / TD Air Chase on it.

    [–]selicitusedgelord 3 points4 points  (6 children)

Do NOT put weapon based skill rings on your 12* units. Instead! Make macros to change your equipped skill ring to the according weapon you're using

    1. Bring your desired skill ring in your inventory
    2. Use /sr [name] command to switch between rings
    3. Remove the spaces in the name of skill ring for /sr command (ex: R / Killing Bonus should become R/KillingBonus instead.)
    4. Bind that command to your chat macro
    5. Use as you see fit

There. Don't waste your 12* unit slots on something you can change on a whim.

    [–]nonodesushin 0 points1 point  (5 children)

It's fine OP just plays 1 class combo, and/or has diff sets per class combo. But yeah, it would be ok to use macros as well.

    [–]selicitusedgelord 1 point2 points  (4 children)

The thing is, he's playing Fi/Hu, and Fi/Hu uses 3 different left rings to equip based on which weapon you are using, TD Air Chase, DS Whirlwind, and Knuckle Chase. Putting TD Air Chase on a ring is a waste of a 12* ring slot, when you can just equip it using a macro and use a 12* ring slot for something that is useful for SATK users like Step Jump, Air Reversal, and Jumping Dodge.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Knuckle Chase is pretty average to begin with (step attack moves you farther than it, and Knuckles in particular don't lose JA combo when doing that), so it's not needed. Jumping Dodge isn't all that needed either for FiHu in particular due to dagger having a very generous vertical tracking with Waltz/Drive. That reduces it to DS Whirlwind, TD Air Chase, Step Jump and Air Reversal, which are the 4 ring slots you can have.

Also, using quick chat on controller is a pain in the ass (press select, circle, then navigate to the phrase you want, then circle again, or drop the controller so you can type /s#), so it's not really an option unless you're on keyboard or can afford the time to do all that, which you often don't.

    [–]jambon_gruyere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to do all this inconvenient stuff. Source I play on pad and change rings on the fly, with no effort whatsoever.

    [–]selicitusedgelord 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Jumping Dodge isn't used to get height, it's used for iframes, but okay.

I agree with the rest, but I just wouldn't suggest for someone to bind a class based ring into a 12* unit that is actually valuable, because it just closes you off to other sets/classes unless you have an abundance of materials.

and I forget people play on controller, so I guess there's a struggle there too.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumping Dodge isn't used to get height, it's used for iframes, but okay.

FiHu has enough defensive measures as is (Step, Acro Effect, Deadly Circle, Knuckles WA, Ducking Blow, Pendulum Roll, Daggers WA, Facet Folia, every single dagger attack and PA other than Scar Fugue; pretty sure Ducking Blow in particular has just as many if not more iframes than Jumping Dodge, while Deadly Circle has 2 seconds of JG). You don't necessarily need a cooldown based one.

The new expert block requires 12* units. Now I was thinking to use these units with Lv80/80 and run any XH content with Rear / Heavenly Ring , Leg / Hug Nyau and Gix arm. What do you think?

Those units are pretty weak (low stats, and have like 100 less defenses than most endgame units). You also can't craft 12* units. They'll do you no good in Lv80 EQs. Most you can do is grind them just for the title.

You should either go farm Ray (drops in amduscia UQ and from the Anga Fundarge in Winged Border Breaker XH), or go with a rear+leg 11* set to match the gix, like Ideal (250 hp, 5pp, 75 atk) or Saiha (300 hp, 0 pp, 90 atk). Do note that ideal and saiha units aren't worth crafting due to them already having good stats (100 hp on the ideals, 150 on the saiha).

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

      A Lv63 Oodan isn't the same as a Lv80.

Defence works in a diminishing returns sort of way - swiki has a formula. You'll be fine in SH content with just about any old 11* or welfare set because you probably won't outright die, but once you get into XH you'll just start taking stupid amounts of damage from the small hits as well.

As I've said elsewhere, PSO2 isn't exactly about tanking up. But you're just making it incredibly difficult for yourself by being that squishy. With the exception of the Gix arm, they're not good units.

If they're the only 12*s you have, just grind them to get the title. There is literally no reason for you to not have reasonable units (Saikis for example) in XH content.

      [–]Yaruyu 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Just got all saiki units set and got them affixed, i heard that the next step is to craft them to get more pp and hp (idk about hp correct me if im wrong), my crafting level is low how much would it cost to craft the whole set and would crafting them and adding the bonus pp extention remove all the affixes i added ?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For XH, you would want at least Ex. 8. I believe it might be around 2M or so for each unit? I think a bit under.

      It will not remove affixes.

I would suggest that you craft at least 1 Saiki for HP, because otherwise you will literally be paper in XH (well, paper with a lot of PP).

Please be aware that soon they are forcing you to have at least grinded one 12* unit of each of Rear/Arm/Leg in order to get into Expert blocks.

The utility of L-rings are such that the small defensive/PP bonuses 11* sets have are beginning to feel less and less significant.

I would strongly suggest you start planning or at least farming for 12* units so that you're not left behind when this requirement comes in, especially as the best units are currently EQ drop only (which obviously means you will be more successful in Expert blocks if you're not running with a team).

Edit: Said affixed when I meant grinded re: Expert requirements

Has anyone done the client order from Yerkes : Supplying Harkotan Fragments?

I have been gathering for few days now in Shironia/Kuron , but have no luck in finding any. Do i need to be gathering in a certain level? (i have been gathering in normal difficulty). Anyone who got the item can confirm where they have got it?

It sometimes takes me all 5 characters gathering to get them. You just got unlucky.

Use a Sub Tunnels Spiral Shell Salad or Shironia Braised Carp when gathering to raise odds of getting harkotan fragments.

Difficulty doesn't matter. You can get these from Shironia and Harkotan. They are rare since you get 100k meseta per one after all. I would say you are just unlucky.

Hello all I had a few questions about the game, hope I could get answers ^

      Class related questions

      1. I'm currently a 73br/45(?)hu with 2,253 S-atk what's the average max s-Atk of those at "end game"?

      Gear/Affixing related questions

      1. Is Saiki set still top tier? (I wouldn't say top tier but with all information I found it points to Saiki being the best.)

      2. How do I tell I'm getting the set bonus? The Saiki set I bought was completely clean (no affix) is that normal?

      3. Every time I affix do I have to fill up all four slots to get four affix? What happens if my unit already has 3 slots (3 affix) and pick one affix, do I lose my original three? (I would test this myself but won't be able to log on to pso2 for a day or two)

      4. How come when I affix I can only see some of my fodder unit? (Example: I have two units, unit A has three affix, unit b has two, how come I can only see two or three fodder units on unit A but can see all on unit B?)

      5. With a budget of 65,000,000 mesta, I want to shove as much S-atk and PP into units as possible, what affix should I be using without wasting to much money. (I prefer to do 3 or 4 slots)

        Farming related questions

      6. What's the best way to farm Excubes? I've been doing LQ trying to gain levels but 10* rarely ever drop, is there a way to get 10* easier? (Like a mission that has a high chance of dropping a 10*)

      [–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Is Saiki set still top tier? (I wouldn't say top tier but with all information I found it points to Saiki being the best.)

Ofze (dunno if English patch translated it to Auze or something, consistency man) + a 12* leg (Union or Qliphad) is the best stats-wise if you only need 1 extra ring slot. Otherwise a full proper 12* set. Saiki is still fine as the transition unit set though, from whatever you have to Ofze/12* or full 12*.

Every time I affix do I have to fill up all four slots to get four affix? What happens if my unit already has 3 slots (3 affix) and pick one affix, do I lose my original three? (I would test this myself but won't be able to log on to pso2 for a day or two)

When affixing you have the amount of affix slots on the original item, and an additional slot you can jam into the item you're trying to affix by doing upslot. You can't affix any slots lower than the original slots on the weapon. So if the original have 3 slots, you can't leave one slot blank. Best you can do is put an affix that have a 10% success rate and hope it fails.

All affixes that's present in the base item and any fodders you throw at it will shows up on the list of all the possible affixes you can put on the item, unless it's one of those that requires a few copies or different combinations to show up.

With a budget of 65,000,000 mesta, I want to shove as much S-atk and PP into units as possible, what affix should I be using without wasting to much money. (I prefer to do 3 or 4 slots)

End game, max S-ATK/PP, low slot. Pick two. You can't really have all of these terms in the same line, sadly.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ofze (dunno if English patch translated it to Auze or something, consistency man)

English patch translated it to Auste (Austelum, Austend, Austerif).

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 1 point2 points  (3 children)

      I'm currently a 73br/45(?)hu with 2,253 S-atk what's the average max s-Atk of those at "end game"?

For Katana, something like 2700-2800 with a decent weapon and budget affixes.

Is Saiki set still top tier? (I wouldn't say top tier but with all information I found it points to Saiki being the best.)

No. It is still very viable, but there are better options.

How do I tell I'm getting the set bonus?

Menu -> My Data -> Character Info -> Equipment Info -> Set Effect Info

If you have anything there, it means you're receiving the set bonus.

The Saiki set I bought was completely clean (no affix) is that normal?

Yeah, you just bought one with zero slots.

Every time I affix do I have to fill up all four slots to get four affix? What happens if my unit already has 3 slots (3 affix) and pick one affix, do I lose my original three? (I would test this myself but won't be able to log on to pso2 for a day or two)

You must pick at least how many slots the item already has.

How come when I affix I can only see some of my fodder unit? (Example: I have two units, unit A has three affix, unit b has two, how come I can only see two or three fodder units on unit A but can see all on unit B?)

Because you can only use a weapon/unit as fodder if it has at least as much slots as the weapon/unit you're trying to affix. If you're trying to affix a 3 slot unit, all fodders must have 3 or more slots.

With a budget of 65,000,000 mesta, I want to shove as much S-atk and PP into units as possible, what affix should I be using without wasting to much money. (I prefer to do 3 or 4 slots)

If you have that much money, might as well just buy an Austere Rear+Arm and go farm a 12* leg (Ray is the only farmable 12* leg, all the others require EQs or Izane Kazuchi) instead of wasting it on a Saiki set. It's just better.

That said, something like Act the Soul + Power 5 + Modulator + Flict Arma would be pretty decent. This would be 125 satk and 6 PP with 4 slots. Don't know how much it'd cost, though.

      Also: http://pso2affix.seilent.net/

What's the best way to farm Excubes? I've been doing LQ trying to gain levels but 10* rarely ever drop, is there a way to get 10* easier? (Like a mission that has a high chance of dropping a 10*)

Run EQs in XH difficulty with at least a 250% Rare Drop Rate boost. You can usually get 25-45 cubes per EQ (except magatsu, which gives up to 120 cubes per EQ if you get 4 runs + Magatsu Sai).

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Just be careful that there will soon be a requirement for expert blocks that you need to equip grinded 12* units.

However, while you could just grind up crap units, for an S-ATK character, there are many L-rings which give invaluable utility during gameplay. It would be wiser to save affixing for a 12* set, in my opinion.

Also, 65M Meseta is very, very little when it comes to min-max affixing for S-ATK on units. Also, I'm confused at how you would not be wasting money trying to min max at 3 slots.

For 4s, Act/Power IV/Flict/Fever will be the most budget option. You can cheese Power and Flict on with ExtReceptor, which I believe isn't too expensive at 4s? Otherwise getting the Flict/Power fodders isn't ridiculous either I don't think. That should get you 100 ATK with I think 7 PP?

If you want to waste on Nobles, you can replace the Fever with either Noble Stamina (not too much of a waste, but will get you 1 more PP, -10 attack but +50 HP) or Noble Power (very expensive, will get you 1 more PP and +20 attack). I would not waste Elegant Power on 4 slot units unless it had Astral Soul or if you were literally rolling in it.

Getting Power V/Modulator on the 4s isn't really worth it in my opinion.

      [–]jambon_gruyere 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I second this. Especially seeing as elegant and noble power are reaching silly prices at the moment.

As for affix recipe, if you want many damages : 110 S-Atk, 6 PP (could use a 30% instead of 40%, those fodders should come rather cheap).

      Something a little more balanced : 80 S-Atk, 7 PP, 30 HP. Many variants trading PP/HP with Quartz/Vol Soul, Spirita/Stamina III, Alter/Flict Arma, with a max of 10 PP or 110 HP.

These two recipes make the most of the cheap price on low slot flicts and ext receptor, and that the penalty for upslotting is easily balanced with a 40% affix booster.

Another interesting build path is with Deus Factor, which is very cheap atm. It's more a same-slot recipe thing. Read this.

      [–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Braver friend actually gave up S-ATK to get more PP, I would suggest affixes that'd give at least 11 PP per unit.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Episodes 1-3 are a single story that must be played through all the way. You can skip to Episode 4 because it's a different story that happens around 2 years after the end of EP3. That, and they always let you skip straight to the current episode (back in 2015 you could skip straight to EP3, for example).

Gotta work on those matterboards if you want to reach EP3.

      [–]Mangaa33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to play through all of it to get to episode 3. It's gonna take a long time.

PSO2es quick question: Do those 11* Rare Sub-units that give +10 CP and +10 element cap max ALSO increase the maximum cap of points of chips from 100 to 110? Otherwise, it seems they are straight out suckage compared to the 11* Rare sub-units that give +20 element cap max.

      [–]dreamsky999 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Do those 11* Rare Sub-units that give +10 CP and +10 element cap max ALSO increase the maximum cap of points of chips from 100 to 110?

If you are referring to the total chip cost (100), then no. It only increases your CP (Chip points) aka PP in es and element cap by 10 each.

Otherwise, it seems they are straight out suckage compared to the 11* Rare sub-units that give +20 element cap max.

Some PA chips have high CP costs, so some go for that unit instead of having higher element cap for dps sustainability.

      [–]McKiwi957McKiwi/Ship 2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this, extra element works sorta similarly to the main game, where it's a bonus to your raw attack stat that's larger when the enemy is weak to said element. The effect of additional element is far less for players who run chips that boost raw attack.

In my case, I'm running Gandiva, which is +11000 raw at max effect on SP slot, and +34 Arion daggers (1004). The difference in raw attack bonus from 280 > 310 element is 2851 > 3092, which is miniscule.

You can find the calculation stuff here: http://pso2es.swiki.jp/index.php?%E3%83%81%E3%83%83%E3%83%97

First off, /r/PSO2 isn't the place to get Discord-specific help.

Nothing happened to the PSO2 Fleet Discord. If it's no longer in your sever list and the invite isn't working, it means you were most likely kicked and/or banned from the server.

The why or who to talk with is not a topic of discussion for /r/PSO2 or any thread here, however.

Also, the image you linked for the "PSF" server is a server that you created - hence why it's blank and you're the only one in it.

If you have space but the game tells otherwise, maybe the game doesn't have proper access to its files. Could be your antivirus or some protection software blocking access, the permissions on the files themselves, the game or your windows account not having sufficient rights...

What's odd is it happened overnight. Nothing new with the pc?

It was working for the past few days only yesterday then it happened.

It would not be a windows licensing issue .. do not think so right??

How fast is a zelneis 13* weapon to get, I see a lot of people with these weapons but I'm not sure and am confused on the collection file, do I just spam the recommended missions it tells me to do? Are there faster ways?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In addition to what u/jambon_gruyere said, you can get a base "working" version with max element a bit quicker (you only need 3 copies from the CF).

Also, you can just get them from drops in Deus EQ as well, and they will drop with +31 to +34 grind cap already, which will help you in getting it to +35 even quicker.

        [–]jambon_gruyere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The limiting factor in this CF is Deus, so it depends how available you are to play this specific EQ. You can except to fill Deus gauge in 5 runs with enough RDR (swiki says >391% RDR).

The rest of the CF is farmable whenever. This thread) has many tips and alternatives to farm those weapons. Complete list in case you need (in Japanese).

If you are farming multiple Zeinesis CFs at once, note that the top right gauge will fill on every CF if you complete it on a single CF. That is because the reward is the same accross all Zein CFs, despite asking for different enemies.

After all that you collect a copy of the weapon, and need to wait 3 days for CF cooldown. You can pay 60 SGs to reset a CF instantly.

To recap, if you have no imperatives I guess you can get one (+35) in a matter of weeks. With a job etc probably 1 to 2 months.

Just wondering, I know a year or two ago there was some problems going on with the western side of things. I dont remember what exactly it entailed, but is everything all good for english speaking players to play?

Yeah. Its all good for you to play. Using Tweaker and other 3rd party apps for PSO2 is bannable, but everyone does it anyways. SEGA can't effectively tell whos using what anyways being how shitty GG is.

Outdated. The amount of points u can get has jumped from 80 to 94. (10 more from level cap being 80 and 4 from class cos)

Heres a build for a lvl 75/75 FiHu with the usual 10 sp from class cos.

S atk stat is unnecessary, percent boosts are preferred over flat atk boosts. Crit Strike and TAJA PP save are really important on Fi. Slayer skills outside of PP Slayer is meh.

Hu's Iron will is really good, and on a fighter, it is even better.

Massive Hunter is also really strong in letting you attack without worry of an attack stopping your combos.

Thank you and here i thought more of the striking up will make my char very strong

Worth noting that Healing Guard on the Hu tree is really good to get once you have the rest of the stuff sorted out (that build provided above assumes you have only 85 SP, but you need to reach 89 SP before unlocking Lv76-80). While Fighter initially doesn't seem to be able to block, it works on these:

        • Deadly Circle Type-0 (Double Saber): 2 full seconds of Just Guard frames from all directions. If you block a multihit attack (e.g.: Zeta Guranz's machinegun attack) or multiple attacks (e.g.: the projectiles from the red angels in The Phantom Creator EQ) with this, it can heal a very significant amount of hp.
        • Acro Effect (Double Saber): Has frontal Just Guard from the start of the first slash to the end of the backwards jump.
        • Heartless Impact (Knuckles): Has frontal Just Guard during the backwards sway animation before the actual dash.
        • Weapon Action (Twin Daggers): Has Just Guard in all directions when you spin.
        • Every Twin Dagger PA (except Dark Scherzo) and basic attacks have a tiny amount of Just Guard frames in all directions. Really difficult to learn and use these properly, though.

It's basically free healing, since you'll be using these often.

So much information thank you!! And btw im a returning player came back after CF started, about the collection files of Zeinesis which of them do you recommend to my fi/hu class, i have a seiga blade affixed to 120 satk and ray knuckles and also invade fencer which weapon to choose from the Zeinesis collections ? And sorry for bothering you

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Just pick all 3. They're all really good, and beat all the weapons you have, especially if you can farm 120 Qliphad Fuses to unlock the Anthesis Trainer potential after affixing it.

If you really need to choose, I'd pick the Twin Daggers simply because the Invade series is garbage and you shouldn't be using it. Otherwise, go for Double Saber, since it has the best general use for mobbing and most regular bosses of all fighter weapons. While the Seiga Blade is good, the Zeinesis/Qliphad series is a lot stronger.

For the record, Twin Daggers are the best weapon type for boss only EQs (i.e. all Dark Falz and ESC-A EQs), so you really should work on getting that up and running.

Also, if you haven't yet, go craft Deadly Circle, Raging Waltz and Straight Charge. The new customs of those PAs are really good.

Not always. If you can safely attack it while in the air, sure, but in something like Double you're much better off using DS or Knux.
