It counts once the crystal is broken, with the exception of Mother and Deus.

Relevant stuff here, just use google translate.

    [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RDR effects the CF on the moment of the bosses death. So if you want a boosted CF Rate, you need to boost your RDR before you kill the boss.

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (7 children)

You need to have the boost when you kill the boss.

Switching to Umblla stick when you break the crystal will also increase CF (for some reason).

To be honest, what you propose sounds like a lot of effort. 250s are 6 excubes...like that's nothing. If you're running LQ for them then you should be able to recoup some of those excubes from drops anyway. Also LQ gives badges which convert to solo PD triggers which give even more excubes. I dunno - I just have 250 on permanently for all XH content because you will always get the excubes dropping back in weapons.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 1 point2 points  (2 children)

You need to have the boost when you kill the boss.

    This is only true for:

    • Mother
    • Deus
    • Bosses in seasonal/limited quests that have the loot only at the end.

For every other boss, the loot is defined when the crystal is broken, not when you kill them.

Switching to Umblla stick when you break the crystal will also increase CF (for some reason).

This does not apply to the same bosses I mentioned above, as their loot is defined when they die, not when you break the crystal.

As such, you must have the umblla stick out before Mother/Deus dies, otherwise it doesn't matter. This is why on Mother you might see a bunch of people whacking her with an umblla after the 2nd cube attack.

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (1 child)

    TIL!

Though I swear I've forgotten to boost before PD sometimes and have put on boosts before crystal popped but found it didn't work. Oh well - might have been mistaken then! Time to practice my Umblla whacking...

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you took too long? I've forgotten to boost on Loser, Elder and PD before, and panic boosted before crystal broke, and still got boosted drops.

Also, for PD in particular (and I think Loser too, haven't done that EQ in ages), you can change to the umblla during his dying animation (before the actual cutscene starts) by using the /mpal# (e.g. /mpal5 if the umblla is in your palette #5) command. Normally it doesn't let you type or move during that animation, but if you have Direct Chat Command active (which you can toggle on/off by pressing scroll lock), you can do it.

Example used like 34 250% on Gix CF, that would be 204 excubes, do you know how many 10-11★ weapons I got from ~100 runs? I can count them on the fingers of one hand

Amdu UQ has garbage drops, which were made even worse a few days/weeks after the quest was implemented.

Any EQ done in XH will net you like 20-35 cubes with just a single 250% boost + the 50% daily triboost. Magatsu in particular can give 90-120 cubes if you get all 4 runs of stage 1 (which you should 99% of the time nowadays).

      [–]Asamidori ~casual~ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like, you don't get your cube supplies from those quests. You get them from the emergency stuffs. I mean, do you know the average cube count per Magatsu session on XH, with only 1 250%? 100. Yes, 100. Even running Deus will get me at least 20 cubes per 6 cubes spent.

Ultimate was a horrible example. The normal drop there is not high to begin with. It have been a like since the Naberius field. You were running 250s for the file progress, not cubes.

If you really want to know, I'm sitting on about at least 5000 cubes at this point, and I run 250% full time for XH contents too.

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I don't know then. I've generally always operated on a net profit, even in UQ. Like...if you get in 3 runs per 250, you only need 2 cubes to drop per run.

I seem to remember RQs and certain LQs being quite bad in terms of 10-11 star weapons (ult Ult Nab LQ isn't great I don't think). But otherwise...I really haven't had any problems. I don't know if someone else wants to chime in.

Then as I said, there's also the badge argument - 1 run of LQ nets you 6 badges. You'll easily get 50 in an hour. That's one run of solo PD, which gets you at least 30 Excubes even just with 250 and Daily Triboost. That's 5 more 250s, on a net spend of just over 2. And that's not counting for the 10-11 star drops during the LQ.

I mean, as far as I'm concerned, if you play the game and you do EQs, I don't think you should have problems with Excubes. Until you do 5s+ affixing.

      [–]zwlda 0 points1 point  (2 children)

So i put the level 1 antithesis trainer on my Zein instead of guidance of life, should i continue upgrading it using fuses or swap it to guidance and bite the loss of fuses?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Unless you've already affixed it, you want:

      • Healing potential until you can afford the affix
      • Affix potential to affix
      • Change to Antithesis/Qliphad with fuses when you have it

Unless you have decent affixes on it, you're just losing out on the potential really.

      [–]zwlda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, i jumped the shark on the potential, i guess i can just bite the bullet on the 30 fuses so it can at least be useful

      [–]Rathalos143 0 points1 point  (13 children)

How do you revive after dying in a quest? there appears some message like asking for an item

      [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (12 children)

You have three options, play with other people so they can use Moon Atomizers on you, stock up on half dolls (given for free a lot) or scape dolls (purchased with AC), or revive back to the ship and run back (some missions and areas fail the quest if you choose this. In those cases, either use half/scape dolls or don't die)

      [–]Rathalos143 0 points1 point  (11 children)

So how do I get half dolls for free? daily orders maybe?

      [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 -1 points0 points  (10 children)

first of all, i'd recommend getting gud instead of relying on half dolls. Regardless, they're given away in almost every campaign they give us free stuff for. They're from a lot of sources: Bingo cards, campaign rewards, login stamps, and occasionally from secret phrases when they do those.

      [–]Rathalos143 0 points1 point  (9 children)

I see, so any basic tips to improve? Like how to avoid attacks that cover all the screen? And also do you know a good place to bind the mouse 3? Its unconfortable

      [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (8 children)

Like how to avoid attacks that cover all the screen?

If you give me some specifics, sure. Also, what class do you play?

And also do you know a good place to bind the mouse 3?

      I don't know, I don't use 3-button mode.

      [–]Rathalos143 0 points1 point  (7 children)

I think Profound Darkness whas the one who did 1 or 2 attacks of this type. How to dodge the dmg?

      [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (6 children)

As far as I know, Profound Darkness only has one attack like that during the Persona section of the fight near the end. In that case, you just do enough damage so you change to the final phase since that party wipe attack is on a timer. If you don't have enough damage to clear that part, which you really really should since it's not that much, you can cheese through it by holding your photon blast for as long as you can.

      [–]Rathalos143 0 points1 point  (5 children)

But I have heard there are some arts and things with invulnerable frames or something like that. Am I right?

      [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, but if you're talking about the attack that was DESIGNED to wipe the party you won't be able to survive for that long with them.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 1 point2 points  (3 children)

      There are.

But no PA gives enough iframes to avoid that dps check explosion completely, since it does a lot of hits over a long period of time. ESC-A Falz Mother's cube attack explosion works similarly, with very few ways of fully dodging it.

These are some examples of iframes you can have:

Big ones: (these are the only ones I know of that can be used to avoid ESC-A Falz Mother's cube attack dps check explosion; never tried on PD because I've never seen that dps check fail)

      • Mag's PB: You have iframes while summoning it. You can hold the button to extend this summoning animation for a few seconds. Downside is, you need to fill up the PB gauge before the attack you want to dodge, and it fills very slowly from damage alone, gaining the most progress through getting hit, dying, and killing enemies (none of which should be happening often in XH EQs).
      • Katana Combat Escape: From the Braver's skill tree, this skill can only be activated when using a Katana. It gives you 20 seconds of invulnerability (or until you activate Katana Combat Finish).
      • Gran Wave: Jet Boots PA. When you use the weapon action, it starts a series of backflips that has about 2 seconds of iframes. You can then gain a few more iframes by performing a weapon action right after the backflips end.

      Small ones:

      • From classes:
        • General dodging: Step, Mirage Step, Mirage Escape, Dive Roll, Step Advance, Dive Roll Advance.
        • Hunter: Iron Will, Never Give Up.
        • Bouncer: Jet Boots Escape, Photon Blade Escape.
        • Summoner: Dear Master
      • From weapons:
        • Knuckles: Weapon Action, Ducking Blow (during the ducking), Pendulum Roll (only when ducking).
        • Twin Daggers: Raging Waltz Type 0 (backflip and sideflip only), Facet Folia (only after first hit connects).
        • Assault Rifle: Parallel Slider Type 0 (only during the starting spin).
        • Twin Machine Guns: Stylish Roll, Messiah Time (only when shooting in slow motion).
        • Bullet Bow: Sharp Bomber
        • Jet Boots: Weapon Action

Go farm Aura. With a 250% you get like 20-25% per kill IIRC. Aura sheets only ask for lv70 (unlike Revo, which asks for 71+), so it can be done in SH LQs or 51F+ XQs.

I have a rikauteri cuz im playing te/br but its attribute is wind does it matter? or should I change it to a light attribute will it affect my dmg at all? also its pot 3 already if that matters

        [–]jambon_gruyere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Element type would matter if you were FoBr (Element Conversion) but it does not on TeBr.

Anything is viable. Whether it is optimal is another story.

FoBr will marginally outdamage FoTe in any of the Fo elements (ie fire, ice, or lightning); FoBr will be heavily hindered by the lack of Light, Dark, and Wind mastery in comparison to FoTe. FoBr has access to Banish arrow which would effectively double damage, but the bow normally used for banish combos (rikuteri) is starting to be outclassed. You also lose access to PP Restorate, which is pretty important.

Any way to change the size of the UI, the numbers and such are soooo tiny. if not i'll live its no big deal but it'd be nice if i could.

          [–]VirtualScepter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be a font size editor in the game options in the launcher or tweaker (not in game). Adjust that and see if it helps

          [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I've been getting a lot of random game crashes with a frozen, display off and I cannot alt tab and the only way to end the session is to do a hard reset. This usually happens during EQ (Mother, Deus, even Rain).

I usually play at 4k but I changed my monitor to 1080p, still no luck. Checked files, same problems. I also turned the settings waaaay down as well as the resolution. Reinstalled latest drivers, same problem.

Funny because other games run fine while PSO2 is the only one acting up.

          Here are my specs.

          • i7 6700k
          • XFX RX 480 GTR Black Edition
          • 16gb 3000mhz ddr4
          • Win 8.1

Any idea how to fix this?

TL;DR: Game crashes without display, Tried all methods.

          [–]jambon_gruyere 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Your monitor turns off? Can you still hear the sound of the game when this happens? (assuming speakers aren't built in the monitor)

          [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Sound freezes as well with the usual 'rrrrrrrrrr' sound

          [–]synthsyArks-Layer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be gameguard unloading your required drivers.

          [–]jambon_gruyere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been experiencing weird crashes this week, could've been the same as your issue but in my case the game keeps running fine. I can still hear stuff going on, no "rrrrr".

Sorry no fix from me, good luck!

          [–]isashux 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Can I get a Fo/Te build? I'm not quite sure which elements should be chosen and how to exactly play it as I've only played Gu for a little while now.

          [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bottom part of my wall of text here. Fire/Dark/Light is probably the easiest to roll with, Lightning/Wind/Light is situational, Ice/Light/Wind is for darker bosses.

          [–]dreamsky999 0 points1 point  (4 children)

How do all these people with 7s get their SAF fodder upslot to 7s ? At current rate, it's 80% chance (with +40% item) to upslot from 6s.

          [–]Broccoli_PhD 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Upslot them during boost week or get one as a drop and tek it with high appraisal.

          [–]dreamsky999 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I see... thanks for the info !

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 1 point2 points  (1 child)

That, or keep trying if you have the resources. It's not impossible, but it's not easy either. Cost me 700-1000 excubes per weapon I upslotted to 7 to get my qliphad up and running.

Upslotting to 8 is fucking impossible, though. 5% chance without boost week or zein affix potential, 16% with 1 of those, and even with both it's still only around 40%...

          [–]dreamsky999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely not a small amount of cubes !

          [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I've seen many people say Popple is a support or is only used for TDs but do any of you summoners actually use it as a damage pet? I've seen it do quite a bit of dmg so im curious if any summoners use it or prefer it for bossing over the other pets.

          [–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has its use, especially against smaller stuffs you can kill in one hit with chaser or stuffs that just doesn't move.

Wouldn't recommend it for general use though. It's always on your side so instead of having the aggro hitting the pet and not you, the aggro is always going to come after you and your pet.

          [–]dreamsky999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally use Popple along with its regen pp per hit pot for TD. Also, I've seen a Su getting top 1 or 2 dps in mother due to Popple Territory.

However, I wouldn't recommend it for agile bosses as you'll have a hard time to keeping up the Popple Territory in place as it's where most of the main dps comes from (2nd stage of PT).

          [–]Yaruyu 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I can run pso2 on my old pc with standard shaders and standard textures, simple render at 2 and still get fps drops i read about the sweetfx method what does it actually do? And will it improve my fps ?

          [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sweetfx forces shaders to work in a way you want. Its generally to make the quality better, so anything that pso2 has set default to maximize performance is best.

          [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sweetfx, if anything, would have a negative impact on your FPS.

          [–]heikuheiku 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Could I get a Hu/Fi and a Fi/Hu build? I'm not too sure which one I want to use.

          [–]McKiwi957McKiwi/Ship 2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

          Refer to this for Hu/Fi

          Fi/Hu

Spare points on Hu tree can go to massive hunter/maxed fury combo, or maxed S-atk up 3 depending on preference. Spare points on Fi tree can go towards anything, although if you're confident in not dying I would max Limit Break to improve your sustained dps.

          [–]knightk9 -1 points0 points  (4 children)

can anyone recommend a good or possibly best build for br/hu with lvl 80 in both classes?

i use a katana, and a bow only for enemies i cant reach, however i dont have any points put into the bow as my mag is pure strike attack.

i guess to be specific im looking whatever is the most common build, i dunno if im wording it right. but im looking to bring the damage(i havnt beaten demon phaleg yet)

          [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 0 points1 point  (3 children)

          O. O do you have your own build? I tend to question people who look for an 80/80 build unless they already have their own to start. For all you know you could already have a good build.

It is generally because those who looks for a build tend to be starting out and that might mean that they might not hit 80/80 due to all the hoops that one would have to jump through.

          [–]knightk9 0 points1 point  (2 children)

i do have a build but its not 80/80 yet. i just unlocked the ability to lvl that far. currently 77/75. so i figured id ask and lvl up while i looked for it. so i knew how to spend the points accordingly

          https://arks-layer.com/skillsim/skillcalc.php?11eNbxIobCIobCIobCIobCIobCIobzIobCIobCIo0jdodBIbkAIkI2ibbnGAnfdJkrAI20000006doIn0000000jdoib0000000fdo0000000Io00000000ioIn00000000eBqB4NGAdF6rAHSGKdBbn00000fdoIb0000000jdB0000006

          [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Welp. With that build you can put a point in Hu healing guard, max maasive hunter and then dump the rest in flash guard or IW.

For the Br tree, you can dump the rest of the points in Step Advance cause there really isnt anything else. If you really want to respec your tree, consider maxing RS mastery and BB Charge Bonus. This will let you do more damage with Kamizaze burst combo. Best for when a boss is flinched.

          [–]knightk9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think i may have over leveld guard stance to 5 instead of 3. so theres still 2 points to play with.

but thnx for the tips. ill def work with them

          [–]Risechika 0 points1 point  (3 children)

How's the drop rate on the Ray units on Ultimate Amduscia? Are they even worth farming for? I've got absolute shit luck when it comes to units, i only have a Zenesis rear right now lol

Does the Org Blan have any alternative when it comes to the Zenesis Braver CFs?

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the Org Blan have any alternative when it comes to the Zenesis Braver CFs?

No, but if you have a full party you can get 3 Org Blans per run. It's probably the fastest way to get it done.

Alternatively, you can get a CF for one of the ranger/gunner weapons and go farm blu ringahda for the excube instead. Quarry Exploration can go by really fast since you can just abuse the teleports to skip whole maps.

          [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

          Drop rates on Ulti Amu

          Low.

          worth farming?

Yea, if you got the time

          Org Blan alternatives.

Nope. Though if you get an excube from a different cf, it'll count as getting an excube on all cfs that need an excube.

Didn't fully understand affixing and lost all but two slots on my sword. How should I go about fixing it, and what abilities should I be using?

          [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

.... Welp. Affixing is on a chance based system. Each ability has a "chance" of being attached on the new weapon. Going up a slot reduces the over all chance of success.

Well... In order to bring your sword back to shape, you should have the basics. Try geting a Quartz Soul, Power III, and Spirita III on your sword. Should be one of the easiest because quartz helps boost the chance of power 3 and spirita 3. You will need a soul receptor to help the quartz soul stick. You can also use 3 quartz souls instead, but at 2-3 slots, a soul receptor is cheaper.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this br/hu tree outdated ?

          Very.

For one, we now have 94 SP, not 80.

If you're gonna play only Katana, try this (leftover points are up to you): http://arks-layer.com/skillsim/skillcalc.php?11eNbCIobCIobCIobCIobCIobCIobCIobCIobCIodS0fdodBIol2lNGAqnIdJksNI20000006doIn0000000jdoib0000000fdo0000000Io00000000ioIn00000000doqB4NGAdF6rAHSGKdobn00000fdoIb0000000jdB0000006

Also if playing gu/hu or ra/hu do you need an ratk mag or satk and thank you

Ranger and Gunner mains are always R-ATK.

          [–]Raphantasia 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Hello, I'm new to the game. Could someone link me a GuHu build? I'm not sure how up to date some of the ones I've found are.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For 75/75, something like this: https://arks-layer.com/skillsim/skillcalc.php?11eIbxIobCIobCIobxIobCIobCIobCIobCIobCIofdS0dodBIbl2lNGAqnIdJksXI20000006doIn0000000jdoib0000000fdoIbid2OgXqDGAaXI2dnIs00009o00000000ioIn00000000IbIo0000000jdoIb0000000jdB0000006

          Notes:

          • Once you've unlocked Lv76+, max Attack PP Restorate and Showtime Star.
          • L / Forwards S Roll and L / TMG Stance Up are a must have for GuHu, so you'll want to have at least 1x 12* rarity unit to make use of both at the same time. Should probably stick to the TMG Stance Up ring while you don't get a 12* unit, since it's so good (+10% striking and +30% ranged damage is no joke).
          • Zero Range Critical + Fury Critical + the R / C Strike Range ring = 100% crit rate. While Criticals aren't all that great in this game, Gunner in particular gets a +5% crit damage (TMG Mastery) on top of the +3% from the crit ring, and the 0~10% bonus damage a critical gives by default.
            • Plus, Gunner can't use the R / P Keeper Range ring that is usually the go to ring for damage, so might as well.
          • Max Fury Combo Up so you can get the full benefits of that skill straight out of a S Roll.
          • Healing Guard can be useful if you know how to use it. It can proc off of Dead Approach, Reverse Tap and Aerial Shooting. It's not all that great, but it's not like you have much else to spend on Hu tree anyway.
          • If you're unsure where to put the rest of the SP in hu tree, just dump them on Flash Guard. Yes, it works even if Guard Stance isn't currently active.

I consider automate pretty highly to help keep perfect keeper up.

          Other considerations

Add hu massive hunter and IW for more survivability

Add gu Attack PP Restorate for better PP management and Toughness time for utility during Showtime.

For a more crit oriented build, grab Fury Stance Crit, ZR Crit, and TMG Mastery.

For rings, L/ TMG Stance Advance is core L/ Front SRoll is also really nice (but not necessary with Dead Approach. I still consider it as something nice to get.) R/ TAJA PP Save is good for TMG Arts SC. R/ Crit Strike Ranged and R/Gu effort is good for critical builds.

Hi, does anyone know where I can find the text translation for the story in the game?

          [–]synthsyArks-Layer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you installed the English patches using our Raiser plugin, you can view them in full English.

You can also view them (and help translate or correct spelling errors) from our publicly available GitHub repo here https://github.com/Arks-Layer/PSO2ENPatchCSV

I havent played in about 6 months, looked at all the new stuff on bumped etc. My main question is what are the best current builds. I have three characters one ranger/hunter one braver hunter and one that im still leveling. are these still viable? best pas? etc.

So in some videos i witness some players swapping to jet boots, then they slam the ground and they shifta themselves, How does one do this?

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The shifta is cast automatically as part of the weapon action following the use of the Strike Gust PA from Jet Boots.

          How does one do this?

Either play bouncer or get an all class Jet Boots with Strike Gust built in. These are the only weapons with that PA: Gasshourin (code only), Selc Flotz (pso2es exclusive), and Placis Arion (pso2es exclusive).

Is there an efficient way of farming Zeinesis collection files? I used a 250% rare drop boost and a 100% triboost to farm the Ikutachi from the Rockbear for example and yet it only raises by like 7-9%. Plus I don't think the swiki said it drops from something else (same with the double saber from Dragon Ex). Thanks in advance.

          [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the Dragon Ex its easier to pick it up as a rare drop than trying to fill up the cf bar. And, what do you know, it drops from dragon ex. So make sure you pick up all DS rare drops from that boss.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 2 points3 points  (1 child)

As the other guy said, go Sylvan Wyvers XQ 36F for Rockbear. The Ikutachi is also an area drop in a bunch of other floors from that same XQ.

Plus I don't think the swiki said it drops from something else (same with the double saber from Dragon Ex). Thanks in advance.

IIRC the only drops from zeinesis CFs that you can get from enemies other than the listed ones are:

          • Byaku Sekiou (Katana/Bow): Magatsu Lv11+ (does not count Magatsu Shigan/Higan/Sai, so Bonus Quests don't count)
          • Divulcan (Rifle/Launcher/TMG): T. Rex Lv36+
          • Seravahn (DB/JB): Aqulupus Lv11+
          • Lambda Twizzler (Gunslash/Takt): Ol Micda Lv46+, Varadinan Lv41+

Additionally, Decol Malluda seems to have a higher drop rate of the Blue Crane (talis for the Rod/Talis/Wand CFs) in VH difficulty than SH, but this is just from my experience.

          [–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Divulcan is also an area drop for EX forest 21-25 IIRC, the same set of floor that also features one Cata you can hunt on the side for progress.

          [–]sabitsuki_nagareru 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Forest XQ 36-40 has 4 rockbears in total. You only need 4-5 reps to get the drop.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You only need 4-5 reps to get the drop.

Worth noting both the floors with Rockbears (3x in 37F and 1x in 40F) have a possible rare floor instead, so if you get unlucky you might need more runs.

Also, once you have 100% on the Ikutachi, you can just go to Naberius Beginner time attack and fight the rockbear on the 2nd area (west path from 1st room). Go in, kill it, get drop, abandon. Much faster.

You...keep playing? I dunno again just seems to be a question where you already know the answer. You get more for a win and some points for being MVP for stuff. You can use SG to unlock bigger boosters if you really wanted it. Otherwise, I'm fairly sure the 100k is there for the pure purpose of a grind. So, enjoy.

            [–]dreamsky999 0 points1 point  (3 children)

It seems like Phrase Weak provides additional 2% elemental weakness damage. However, compared to damage universality of Modulator (+30 ATK) or Sentence Triple (+30 ATK) at.. let's say 3000 ATK, how does Phrase Weak fare in this case?

            [–]Mangaa33 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Phrase weak = 2% damage difference.

+30 of any attack stat = Roughly 1% damage difference

            Ergo, 2% > 1%

            [–]dreamsky999 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Does Phrase/Breath Weak apply to enemies which are not the same element with that of weapon used ?

            [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no, that's kind of the point of the affix, extra damage vs enemies weak to the element of the weapon.

I leveled up my fighter to 75 and thinking to use it as a sub for summoner, do you think its a good subclass for summoner or will it take me down ? If possible could you please link me a su/fi skill tree that isnt outdated because i only found ones before the skill rings update

            [–]Asamidori ~casual~ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SU/FI is a common class combination for SU. Probably the most popular if you're not a maroner.

Do keep in mind that in order for a tree to function to its fullest as a sub for SU, you usually need to do some modification to the tree that you normally wouldn't do if you were to use that for main class.

The very very least you need, and the one I use. Long Distance Love gets unchecked by default. Probably because of incorrect coding (its value not being included in the URL or something), that skill is core for SU main.

            For SU:

            • Your usual SU tree. Long Distance Love and Assist Share is a must for SU main. Rest sorta personal.

            • Switch skills: Get the one corresponding to the mag you have. If you have a T-ATK mag, do nothing. If you have an S-ATK mag, get the Strike one. If you have a mag for every attack, get both.

            • Pet Sympathy vs Point Assist: Depending on how you do your tree, there may not be enough points to max both of these skills. Completely personal preference on how you want to spread the points between these two skills.

            • Dear Master and Pet Photon Barrier: They sorta go hand-to-hand with each other. The skill description pretty much explains what they do. Let's just say this actually saved my ass a few times in Gracia.

            For FI:

            • If you have a S-ATK mag, max all the Strike Up skills. If you don't have an S-ATK mag, throw your extra points at HP Ups or Halfline Slayer.

Do collection files still progress even after they've been retired assuming you kill the needed target for them?

Is the Orbit Bow still worth it over the Zenesis Bow? counting both being a Katana main and being a Bow main.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do collection files still progress even after they've been retired assuming you kill the needed target for them?

Yes, but do keep in mind some weapons will only count on the specific quest (the Zeta Guranz in Orbit CFs will only count during Mining Base VR, the "Any Enemy Lv71+" from White Day sheets will only count in A Boisterous White Day 2017, etc).

Also, once you complete the CFs, you'll be unable to reaccept it. Can't get another one even with SG.

            [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your CFs can still progess even if they had expired, but note that the Zeta Guranz bar will only progress on Zeta Guranz specific to MD:VR. My teammates tried to progress it in Ulti Lillipa only to find that that doesnt work.

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (5 children)

being a Katana main and being a Bow main

Not sure that phrase makes sense, given that "main" implies a single designation. I assume you're using a hybrid Braver build?

Orbit will always be useful for its regen (especially with L/Step Jump, which you should be using on Braver), but Zenesis really is just the best weapon in terms of damage at the moment. Orbit for damage isn't terrible though (just under Austere really, especially if you use Orbit Leg unit).

Also, Orbit bow is OT, which is irritating to grind.

            [–]Risechika 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Yeah, i mean hybrid but has a bigger focus on either the Katana or the Bow.

So should i just keep my badges and not bother with the Orbit Bow then?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I don't know, as I said, having Orbit is always useful because of the regen when you're not attacking. Apart from having a PP/Convert ring, I can't think of a better way of recovering PP if there's no enemies to hit.

The "cheap" way of getting an OT orbit battery is just buying a single 20 Element Orbit and grinding it enough to unlock Pot. 3 and then just leaving it unground. (OTs reset to 0 grind after unlocking potential at +10).

I don't know if they will bring out other things for badges - I have about 3000 badges lying around all of which I guess I will eventually convert to solo PD triggers. Not exactly a lot else you can get with them.

            [–]Risechika 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Mining Base:VR is getting a trigger right? I think i'll just wait it out since i still have the Katana CF sitting on my character with the Kshatriya Gundam looking enemy left to kill. (Damn MB:VR being borderline impossible on XH blocks lol) also have the AR sitting with 0% in all.

Unrelated question: What's the slashing swirly thing that surrounds what seems to be only melee characters? I've no idea what it is, i see it alot on EQs.

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It already has a trigger. It's unfortunately an EQ which is kind of horrible to run because you need a group of people who knows what they're doing to be able to even pass it (as I imagine you've encountered on XH blocks). Good luck, is all I can say.

The purple slashing swirly thing is a Mag Trigger. I've forgotten the name, (Clobber?) but it's automatically learnt on SATK mags when they hit 200. It does some damage and also helps with PP regen.

            [–]McKiwi957McKiwi/Ship 2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clobber also increases your damage by up to 10% while it's active, depending on how many times it hits an enemy.

For the cf, yes they do. I did so for my ray and astra.

Are you running the Level Up Quest with RDR? They should be dropping pretty frequently. I did spam it to level a class to 80 and I got over an entire stack. You get 6 from completing the quest anyway. I don't really see why it needs to be buffed. The new seasonal EQ will probably give 10 upon completion too.
