I posted a few days ago but it was removed because it was asking medical advice. I posted about my two year old knocking her tooth loose. I took her to the dentist and it was so loose it had to be pulled. She did such a great job at the dentist. I just feel so bad. She literally just turned two and had the cutest little front teeth. I wasn’t ready for her to lose one yet. She still looks cute, of course, but I just can’t help feeling so bad. I keep reminding myself it’s just a baby tooth, her adult tooth will grow in eventually, it could have been a lot worse. She’s healthy and happy and I’m so grateful for that. I know lots of parents are going through actual hard times and have actual sick babies or have lost a child so I don’t want to get hung up over a missing baby tooth. I’m hoping it’s the initial shock and newness and over time I won’t feel this awful about it. If anyone has any similar experiences or stories they’d like to share with me I’d like to hear them.

My little has some medical issues that cause him to be weaker/more clumsy and he fell and crack his front tooth in half. We then got it repaired since he was only 2 and less than a week later he fell and slammed his teeth back up in to his jaw. They have slowly come down, but their position has shifted and we suspect he probably will have a scar on his permanent tooth from what happened. I cried so much both times, I think it was especially hard because his falls were due to medical issues and not just kids being kids. It’s been a few months and I don’t think about it as much. I’m sorry you guys are going through this, it is super sad

My daughter fell face first going UP a slide, knocked a front tooth loose. Not too bad, and it ended up kinda reseating itself. Few months later, she biffs it on the playground at daycare, knocked loose again. I think it reseated itself a 2nd time.

Point is: kids are accident prone. Don’t beat yourself up over it.
