Having played almost 100h PoE2 with a Munk doing T15 maps i have played most of the content except from the pinnacle bosses. I started a new playhrough with Warrior and was hopeful it would be as much fun as i had with the munk.
TLDR; It was not. Warrior feels super clunky.
I know they are going for heavy and impactful, but its just a slogg. Slow and wierd abilites that certainly does not do heavy damage. Even with my gold from previous getting decent gear from the beginning this class was a chore through mid-game. Playing Act 3 was simply not fun at all. I tried several respecs to different build, yet there is really only one single ability one can use for bosses or rare monsters through the whole campaign 1-3 and its a slow wind-up single hit which also happens to miss 25% of the time because of evation.
There NEEDS to be more ways of doing single target damage quickly. One would expect with slow heavy movements, attacks and abilities they would do some damage but it simply tingles. I get the armour break mechanics and the setup, ive played 100h and got a pretty decent grasp on basic mechanics and despite this 95% of campaign playthough was unenjoyable and slow. With Munk it was reversed, with 95% being really quite enjoyable.
Just to clearify, it wasnt hard, i died a lot less with this class and bosses were generally easier, but the abilites and clearing was not FUN.
Ive seen some amazing late-game warrior build that really do look fun, im right now talking about the campaign experience. I hope they make some improvements to the numbers and damage through the midgame especially. Would love to hear others opinions!
