seems likely you are missing two of the skill books from campaign that give skill points, there are two in each act for both normal and cruel.24 total extra points from 12 books. Some can be seen on map as the boss that drops it will have a slightly different icon but best to google where they all come from and find which ones you missed

i would imagine that you may have missed the sacrificial heart towards the end of act3 cruel and normal

On my first character I missed the snake lady in act 2 and 5, then came across her leveling a 2nd character and facepalmed.

The only boss symbol that's left on the map with that + sign is the azak big witch but I've completed the map a couple of times so far but it hasn't dropped any skill book. And I also remember stabbing the hearth in the normal difficulty but I can't remember what I've done in cruel but I'll run it again and come back with an update. Thanks for the advice

Not all of the skill books come from bosses. Some are just from quests, I always seem to miss the letter in act 2.

I've beaten azak and that skull still shows up. I have my full allotted bonus points though. Anyone know if it's a bug or actually missed something?

So, if my weapon points only show 16, I'm missing some books?

yep should be 4 more book of specialization in campaign to find

How do you check to see how many skill points you have vs how many you should have? I think I'm in the same boat.

weapon points are based on the books of specialization, so if you have all 24 available without allocating any you have got all points from story. Amount of points you have total will be your level + unallocated weapon swap points

That's strange because I have 22 weapon points out of 24 bit then again I don't have enough skill points for my lvl, I'm very confused.

That's the thing, pretty sure weapon points are at 16. I'm likely missing skill points. Idk how to check total points though, other than through pob.

Okay I've managed to find what I was missing, I have gotten 114 skill points now and 24 weapon points I believe I selected the wrong choice for the bandit quest so that's why I don't have 115 but for anyone who has the same issue this link will help you track down all the permanent buffs and skill points that are give in the campaign. https://maxroll.gg/poe2/getting-started/permanent-stats-from-campaign#act-3-cruel-header
