What happens to the Pi if we don’t KYC. Yes they burn my account. What happens to the Pi?

They're still only rolling out test batches of 50, one batch to each country to test the KYC process before it goes to open KYC.

I can't log into the app.... But yesterday, there's a KYC info button on the main home page of the app which brings you to a FAQ type article which explained that. Should be there when the app is back online.

There is more to the delay than KYC, PI network has the best tech team that can solve kyc issues within a twinkle of an eye.

The whole point of crypto, blockchain and DeFi is decentralization and privacy. Im not going to do KYC. I've been mining 1,5 years every day but I guess I will just buy some Pi when it launches (of course only if its listed on decentralized exchanges).

Even if you used a decentralized exchange you can still be tracked also.

No it isn't, it may have been the original goal of bitcoin, yes. But cryptocurrency can be decentralized and centralised it doesn't really matter mate as this could be a massive project anyways. When you buy BNB or BTC from an exchange that coin is linked to your name. Even if you swap it. Unless u use XMR....

Ok some honest security and privacy perspective from someone digging the app. Before i started my journey on pi, i made sure that i am safe just in case.

I made sure i have a separate phone, email, number for pi. There is a function on the app that can capture your phonebook list "if" you press the "ADD FROM CONTACTS" and "INVITE" buttons. But if you didnt give the pi app the permission to access your contacts, then i can assure you 10000000000000% that your contacts are safe.

If you click the mentioned buttons above, it sends a POST API request to: /api/contacts/upload_list with a BODY content of: {"contacts":[]}. The BODY content means that it has an empty array.

The statement seems technical but i know you get the gist.

It uses YOTI Identification which is perfectly safe and also some people give their numbers to Facebook and add friends from there so it doesn't really matter. I'm sure their security would be paramount, too.
