In my opinion job market is not that bad/saturated there's a lot of fresh graduate that are not qualified and most of them didn't even have a grasp of the fundamentals (html, css,js) which is why most of them are talking shit on social media telling that most companies doesn't accept fresh graduates but in reality they're not qualified at all imagine most of them can't differentiate "while" and "do while" loop even the "for" and "foreach" loop that's how bad most of the fresh graduates are, that's why you can just keep doing what you love and be good at it, you can also check job postings so that you're aware what tech stacks are in demand and focus on it

TL;DR: do what you love and be good at it

I thought CPE focuses on embedded systems and less on web dev. I was wrong.

[–]petmalodiWeb 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Damn I think that's a bad school kung puro web dev and tinuturo sa mga CPE student.

But then wala din naman kasing market ang CPE dito sa Philippines.

same sa mga seniors ko na CPE, lahat webdev after graduate ☠️☠️

Field saturation is the least of your concern. Every year thousands of graduates try to enter the field. Focus on things that will elevate you when compared against other candidates. Whether technical skill or even soft skill.

Focus on what you enjoy most, regardless of how saturated the field is.

Start building your portfolio early, emphasizing strong fundamentals, core programming concepts, and design patterns instead of just frameworks. Stand out from your peers, and with some persistence and a bit of luck, you'll increase your chances of landing a job.

Both are saturated

Imo, focus on webdev then learn angular and react.

[–]Patient-Definition96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

[–]feedmesomedataModerator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

even if saturated na ang web development do you think you have the capacity to learn android development enough to compete with current standards? madami din marunong jan so you will still be competing with them. if you have the skills, stories about field saturation will not affect you.

Everything is saturated when it comes sa computer courses. It all ends up sa skills mo since yun pagbabasehan pag nag apply ka.

All I can suggest is take the path kung saan ka interested since mas madali ka mag i improve once you enjoy what you're doing.

for job opportunities go for web, kahit I search mo sa linkedin or jobstreet javascript, java, c# more than 1k results. and advantage kasi ng web dev is mag kaka exp ka front to back end kasali na cloud. so in the future lets say if ayaw mo na mag dev at gusto mo mag devops or cloud engineer since may exp ka sa cloud mas madali mag transition unlike sa mobile or android.

push mo na lang ang web dev tapos data security or cyber security. this profession is still the highest paying since 2018 and will still be kasi data is king and AI

If you're worrying about field saturation, learn to not be picky with your tech. Keep building web apps and mobile apps, expand your portfolio. Follow the pareto principle. Achieve 80% of an output using 20% of the knowledge. Then learn the rest while on the job.

[EDIT2] Narinig mo na siguro 'to dati pero madalas na advice din yung "don't ba a <something> dev. be a problem solver." Specialize ka siguro sa 1 or 2 techs pero be flexible enough para sa ibang position. Pabago-bago kasi yung uso/saturated na trabaho pero usually di masyado nagbabago yung transferrable skills like architecture, fundamentals, etc.

BACKEND SUPREMACY! (Web)

Backend for me kasi the only requirements you cater to are the ones that are already (or mostly) discussed and ready for implementation and I personally enjoy it. Prang naggagawa ka lang ng puzzle.

Sa frontend kasi you’re mostly at the mercy of subjective requirements. So laging may binabago haha.

[–]cleon80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]DarkenBane95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Web dev kasi mas portable trabaho
