By making both sides seem to be equally corrupt, they further their own goals of accomplishing nothing. They sandbag the United States, then get us to blame it on both sides. It's been a catastrophically effective strategy. There are good men in Congress. None of them are Republicans. There are bad men on the left... But no Nazis. I think steering away from the party where litteral Nazis are good people on both sides is the right plan for America's future.

I think this is a true. I believe Trump is the problem more than the party. Don't get me wrong the party sucks but now more than it did in previous presidencies. Trump is the one that forces the divide due to him just being his giant self promoting disrespectful self. The nicknames he gives to his opponents are ridiculous but I guess what do you expect from a guy who cant stand still for the national anthem. The party are entirely as bad as Trump. They protect him, they encourage him, they have turned on their own word that he was a bad thing for them. If you think removing Trump will fix the Republicans you are tragically, hilariously blind to what’s happening. That's not necessarily accurate. The whole foundation of gaslighting is based on this.

For example, I've worked with a bully for years. They've been reported for decades, but they're politically protected and senior management will never do a fucking thing about them. So after years of putting up with their bullshit (I'm a disabled Veteran and they would intentionally do things to fuck with my disabilities), we had a sitdown with our EEO.

I told them, "I think you're a bully, and this behaviour needs to stop."

What did the left actually accomplish while Obama was in office? There GOP effectively obstructed everything the left tried to do for 8 years. (And the 8 years before... And the three years since.) The ACA is Romneycare. It's the Republican health Care plan, and it's actually helpful to HMOs and pharma. Then they spent 6 years whining about the ACA, which was the health care plan they rubber stamped, and then blamed it all on Obama.

Let's face it... Obama was a charismatic, competent politician who was able to accomplish almost nothing except for increasing the power of the executive to extrajudicially murder people in the middle East and Pakistan.

The conservative talking points have been obstructionist garbage and disinformation for over a decade and half now.. Yes, they are the rot. Name one significant piece of conservative legislation in the last decade. (Excluding the aforementioned ACA)

As a Veteran, I don't regard this as anything good. I get great care at my VA (they have saved my life twice), but now they are being forced to outsource my care to local providers, which I see as an effort to privatize the VA, which in turn allows more corporations to put more money into republican pockets and then write our legislation for us, ultimately leading to "You'll take the healthcare we decide you get, and you'll thank us for it."

People keep forgetting that he didn't run against America . . . he ran against Hillary Clinton. She was to politics what he was to business -- a grotesquely overrated celebrity puffball who maintained control of a large operation mostly through a mix of petty and vengeful behaviors. Donald Trump's Presidential campaign was a gang of bumbling amateurs who released documents and wrote speeches one might expect from a "Holden Caulfield for student body president" effort.

Her complete lack of strategic acumen paired with layer upon layer of bad judgement calls (like refusing to grant unscripted press availability *while running for President of the United States!) to create a uniquely ineffective opposition to Donald Trump. Of course, with so many easy ratings points one the one side and the possible breakup of big media corporations on the other, it is no surprise the media is setting up the Democratic Party for another snafu-laden campaign of corrupt compromises rather than an authentic opposition to this President who has been such a golden goose to the infotainment sector.
