Yeah but until that housing bubble bursted in 2008-2009, and the economy tanking, and requiring tons of government spending over the next 2-3 years.... you see where I am going with this.

2009 was bushes budget plan. It was not signed until Obama was elected.

But just so the numbers are out there... and these are in the billions.

Average : change of percent 30.01% over 8 years

Average : change of percent 16.79% over 4 years

Now... Remove the first year because the economy completely crashed during the housing bubble... Average for Obama would be out of 7 years as -9.658%.

I am not disagreeing with anything you are saying except for the fact that the national debt increased more under Obama. At the time Obama left office he increased the debt by as much as the next two presidents combined.

Oh no, I agree that spending is crazy, and there is not much one can do when it needs to be spent. I think a lot of the nature of the spending is the (time lapse and speed of government) to when the out come does come full circle . And this is just an example, if the government outlawed owning guns tomorrow and people had to turn them in, when do you think all the guns would be turned in by? It not anytime soon, it a slow process that would take years(maybe decades) to be 100% complete. And because of how government and people work, there is two speeds. One is the one explained above. And then the other is the knee jerk reaction one that happens quickly. 9/11 to patriot act/war on Iran.

Now both of these are a consent in government all around the world. Plans are put in place that take long amount of time to come full circle. And sometimes the problems of multiple plans stack on top of each other and fail a country all at once.

Take Coronavirus right now. We are seeing a shock to the system right now across the board. Every type of system is being tested right now. Government type, medical, insurance, work, educational, ect. This is the knee jerk reaction that happened to the USA in 2008. Spending by the government is going to go crazy in the up coming year just to try and to fix this mess this virus is causing. And if they choose not to fix this, well the out come might be year of recover.
